Good morning all! My pants arrived before I could finish reading all of the thread. Today's answer just sort of jumped out at me. Len looked at me in disbelief when I blurted the answer out right away.
Sorry MLEO!
Len and I are both off today because Ginny's class is doing the mass at school today and then they are having a pot luck lunch for any parents that can make it. We also have to finish our shopping and I'm supposed to bake and decorate a cake for my Guides party tonight, but I think I'm going to be a bad girl and just buy one today. I think I need to cut out some things that aren't absolutely neccesary. We still don't have our tree wither Diane. Michael's beginning to worry that we're only going to have a small artificial one that we never use, but it might be the only one this year if I don't get it in gear!
Amid, you're a brave lady to do that many gingerbreads! This is the first year that I haven't done a gingerbread house for a festival we have here in town.
Some years, besides that one, I've done 2 or 3 others. One year I even did one for a photo shoot for a log house magazine Christmas issue. I never got to see the issue, apparently it came out in August!
I think my favourite house I made was the lighthouse I did last year. It had a light in the top that blinked, was on top of a cliff with a wharf and boat below it, and had little sailor figures around it. I've also done a squared turreted castle with Rapunzel in one of them, a log house, bird houses, a mill with water wheel and covered bridge, and a replica of one of the historic houses here in town.
Lars, that's so exciting for your family to have a picture of the new baby. It will be hard for them to wait, but it's not as long as being pregnant.
Boo'sMom, my DS will be jealous that Patrick got Age of Mythology. Both Len and Michael want it, but it's a little pricey right now. I hope AJ feels better soon!
Love the curtain Bernie!
