Return to the Scene of the Crime: The Lurkyloos’ First Anniversary at WDW! New VIDEO!

I laughed (at Patrick)! I cried (at the ice cream, cake, and candy I'm missing)! It deserves an Oscar!

If Oscars were in writing. Pulitzer, perhaps?

Hey! Just wanted to tell you that Nathan (or was it Jensey?) emailed me, and the ball is rolling on getting me some awesome AK pics! I had a great idea for them when I couldn't sleep last night. I am expecting our second child (who happens to be kicking me as I write this- a troublemaker in here, I'm guessing), and I thought it would be cool to do a safari theme in the nursery! With these pics as the centerpiece of the room! I'm not sure it would work for a little girl's room, but if this is a future NFL kicker in here, then safari theme it is!!

Also, I bought your Destination Weddings issue today. I wanted to support a fellow DISer! I figured if all the DISers out there went out and bought up all the issues, they may have to send you some royalties. We can hope, can't we?

Awesome update! Loved the tour photos. Interesting to see that there is a world outside the golden gates of paradise.

:rotfl2: I know... I totally would never set foot outside those golden gates if it weren't for the Roots. I don't even want to go to Universal! :snooty:

Carrie, great report as always. I really enjoy reading your posts but mostly I'm a lurker!

You should ask Nathan & Jensey is they have ever taken pictures in Casadega. It is northeast of Orlando about 40 minutes away. I can't imagine the beautiful pictures they would have of it!

Thanks for sharing your vacation with us. I can't wait to read more!

Oooh! I'll have to ask them about Casadega! DH and I always find ourselves saying "Oh, the Roots would take a great picture of this" or "Too bad the Roots aren't here to get a shot of that"...

And thanks for coming out of lurkdom to post. :thumbsup2

Awesome job Carrie!!! Nice updates. I felt like I was back at work! I work about 5 minutes from Rollins and have frequent lunches at Urban Flats! You could have come to visit my office and taken gorgeous pics of my desk... :rotfl: glad you were able to get out from the "Disneyfied" Orlando and go into the heart of Otown, although they did show you the nicer places. Next time you're in town, you'll have to go downtown. And um.. there are some "older" parts of town. Okay, not really but kinda sorta. Okay, I'm going to shut up now.

Keep typing Carrie!!! :surfweb:

:rotfl: Yeah, I hear downtown can be kinda scary in places, or at least it's just not someplace you really need to go. But then, Downtown LA is kinda like that still too! And I would love to see the older parts of Otown. Those are always my favorite.

Great update, Carrie. Beautiful pics.
The Maitland Art Center, is absolutely gorgeous!!

It would be a lovely place for a vow renewal.... ;)

Those pictures of Patrick are cra-mazing! (Crazy & Amazing). Loved 'em! And all the cheese goodness, followed by cake & icecream, made this update a BIG challenge for me!

Don't worry - the next day has so much upchuck in it, you won't want to eat for days! :cutie:

The pictures of the museum and gardens are gorgeous. I'm glad to see that you can have fun outside of WDW.

Who knew, right? :cutie: Well, I guess Twiu knew, and the Roots, and DizneyDumbNut, and...

Speaking of cake, for my baby shower, my BFF got me a peanut butter & chocolate cake. Oh. My. Gawd. I'm *still* craving that stupid thing.

Well, you're just gonna have to have another baby! :lmao:

I don't want to step all over Carrie's report (which I seem to be doing anyway) but I will say..chocolate cake with PB mousse..is great for breakfast...

:rolleyes1 I agree!

Those look Heavenly! I wish I wasn't in MA! (Hmmm. . . darn it all. . . now I need cake. . . I wonder where can I stop on my way home from work to find some kind of decent cake!)

Let's see... how 'bout this place: http://sweetcupcakes.com/gallery.php :)

Ok totally on baord for this one! It took me a while to read it this mornign but it rocks! Your sense of humor is fabulous Carrie! I saw a special on the travel channel with Samantha Brown where she went to Winter park. She visited a shoe store where they give you a pedicure with your purchase

Whoa! I guess I need to go back to Winter Park then. And maybe this time the ice cream place will be open. :goodvibes

:lmao: I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you have a wedding pic WITH the Kodak Picture Spot. Your sense of humor is awesome!!

:goodvibes Thanks! It was just too good a photo op to pass up!

Have you thought about writing a novel (I know you did the passporter!)? You really are an awesome writer. I'm a voracious reader, and I truly enjoy your writing as much or more than most books I have read. It's really well done. Can't wait to read more!

That is really sweet of you to say! I think I must be more of a nonfiction writer, because it seems like, in order to be popular, novels have to be angsty and weird and have terrible things happen to the characters (oh wait - maybe that's only if you want your novel turned into a movie... :rotfl: ). But maybe.... if there were a market for fiction about people who visit Disney World all the time... :cutie:

If Oscars were in writing. Pulitzer, perhaps?

Yes, please! :rotfl:

:cutie: Aw, thanks! I'm sure the Destination Weddings folks will be laughing all the way to the bank! :lmao: Wait, what am I saying? My dad was a magazine art director my entire childhood - there's no money in publishing....

I think the safari-themed nursery idea is a great one. And I think it would work just as well for a little girl's room - who says it has to be all princessy? Maybe she'll grow up to be a top zoologist! :goodvibes

Lettuce? On Pizza?? Oh the HORROR!! :scared1:

that's as bad as fruit in cake and ice cream???

actually..the Ritz in Naples (Fl not Italy) has a pizza with a pear, gorgonzola and lettuce topping..holy macaroni! That is good!

My B&N was out of the Destination Wedding issue last week..i somehow left mine somewhere (disney?? when I was trying to get an autograph) and they were all out!

Alright. I'm giving in and subscribing. (and it's TOTALLY not because I just figured out how to subscribe to a thread...trust me I just LOVE scrolling through pages and pages of stuff I've already read) Heh. ;)

I just have one thing to say. I always swore that I would never get married in Disney World (even though I love it with all my heart). But reading your wedding report made me wish we were doing THAT instead of the simple little winery wedding we have planned for this October. I had no idea a WDW Wedding could be so beautiful!

Thanks for sharing all your trips. I'm hooked!

I loved seeing all the beauty around O-town. Never knew there were so many gorgeous places to go.
I am jealous of the Roots......they take the most beautiful pictures eva & they live in Celebration where I want to live. :thumbsup2
Gratititous shot of my puppy Bella (a not so miniature miniature pinscher) doing one of her weird behaviors since you asked & all. :goodvibes

omg! for a second I thought that was my dog!! We both have MinPins!!

sorry for the hijack Carrie!

I loved seeing your shots from around town. My cousin lives in Winter Park, so I recognized a few sites, although I haven't seen the Hooker house before, maybe I need to check it out on my next trip ;)

Now, as far as Publix I've never had their cake before, but I can say they have really yummy fried chicken! So, if you're in the market for a heart attack try that next time you visit Orlando :rotfl:

Not to be nit-picky, but as an Orlando resident I do have to point out that there is a downtown to Orlando and there are historic sites and other interesting historic neighborhoods. I love Disney, but your tour of the non-Disney Orlando was just the tip of the iceberg! Next time, let me introduce you to more. The City wasn't unpacked in 1971, give us more credit than that! ;)

well, I had to push DS off the computer so I could catch up on the TR. I love it all.

I would say hurry hurry but then I love it so much I'll be sad when it's over.

I want to live on Celebration when I retire.

Hooker Hall.........One of my best friends is from Hooker, GA. :lmao:

Andrea......I'm from outside Chattanooga so another neighbor so to speak. I love the safari them with the Roots pics as the anchor. When will you find out prince or princess? or should I say are you going to find out at the u/s?

Sorry to hijack the thread Carrie

*Gulp* Carrie, did you say the next update is full of...um...upchuck? Really?! Please tell me you are kidding! If not, I will postpone checking this thread again until long after ANY food has been digested!

Howdy, neighbor! :wave2: I love Chattanooga. I haven't been there in forever, though. I heard there was a great children's museum there, and I'm hoping to take DD soon.

We have our gender determination u/s on March 12, and we will definitely find out what we're having. I'm too much of a planner to have a surprise!

I'm so glad to see some fellow Tennessean DISers!!:dancer:

Orlando has some beautiful locations! Makes me want to move there. I am dying to move to Celebration. I hate NJ. Blah.

:rotfl: You said it, sister!

My B&N was out of the Destination Wedding issue last week..i somehow left mine somewhere (disney?? when I was trying to get an autograph) and they were all out!

Well I have an extra one or four lying around - would you like me to send you one? ;)

Is it too late to cancel? :lmao: I kid... I kid... But you know, I'm always pushing Disney vow renewals - why let already being married stop you from having a fabulous Disney wedding? :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

I love Bella's weird behavior - it's cute! :cutie:

omg! for a second I thought that was my dog!! We both have MinPins!!

Post away - maybe you two can entertain my readers while I work on the next installment... :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: BWaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha! I will definitely keep Publix in mind next time I'm in the market for a heart attack!

Shoot - I knew I'd prolly offend somebody with my wisecracks... :guilty: I would love to see more of what real Orlando has to offer, so watch out - I may take you up on that offer next time we're in town! :)

 Understood. (princess: princess: princess:)

No problem! Hijacking keeps it going while I'm typing up the next installment! :thumbsup2

I am not kidding. :crazy2: I'm still trying to figure out a delicate way to recount the day....

Celebration is really cute - I'd totally want to live there if I lived in O-town! Well, OK, actually, I'd want to live at the Beach Club... or maybe Bay Lake Tower! :cutie:

Behind the Scenes Footage:

Look!! They do have clients pictures laying around..there is the back of one!!

Publix is very naughty!!! They fry chicken everyday at 5pm..just when you want to run in for a gallon of milk..the most fabulous smell comes from the deli!! curse them and their cakes!!
