Awesome update! Loved the tour photos. Interesting to see that there is a world outside the golden gates of paradise.

I know... I totally would never set foot outside those golden gates if it weren't for the Roots. I don't even want to go to Universal!
Carrie, great report as always. I really enjoy reading your posts but mostly I'm a lurker!
You should ask Nathan & Jensey is they have ever taken pictures in Casadega. It is northeast of Orlando about 40 minutes away. I can't imagine the beautiful pictures they would have of it!
Thanks for sharing your vacation with us. I can't wait to read more!
Oooh! I'll have to ask them about Casadega! DH and I always find ourselves saying "Oh, the Roots would take a great picture of this" or "Too bad the Roots aren't here to get a shot of that"...
And thanks for coming out of lurkdom to post.
Awesome job Carrie!!! Nice updates. I felt like I was back at work! I work about 5 minutes from Rollins and have frequent lunches at Urban Flats! You could have come to visit my office and taken gorgeous pics of my desk...

glad you were able to get out from the "Disneyfied" Orlando and go into the heart of Otown, although they did show you the nicer places. Next time you're in town, you'll have to go downtown. And um.. there are some "older" parts of town. Okay, not really but kinda sorta. Okay, I'm going to shut up now.
Keep typing Carrie!!!

Yeah, I hear downtown can be kinda scary in places, or at least it's just not someplace you really need to go. But then, Downtown LA is kinda like that still too! And I would love to see the older parts of Otown. Those are always my favorite.
Great update, Carrie. Beautiful pics.
The Maitland Art Center, is absolutely gorgeous!!
It would be a lovely place for a vow renewal....
Those pictures of Patrick are cra-mazing! (Crazy & Amazing). Loved 'em! And all the cheese goodness, followed by cake & icecream, made this update a BIG challenge for me!
Don't worry - the next day has so much upchuck in it, you won't want to eat for days!
The pictures of the museum and gardens are gorgeous. I'm glad to see that you can have fun outside of WDW.
Who knew, right?

Well, I guess Twiu knew, and the Roots, and DizneyDumbNut, and...
Speaking of cake, for my baby shower, my BFF got me a peanut butter & chocolate cake. Oh. My. Gawd. I'm *still* craving that stupid thing.
Well, you're just gonna have to have another baby!
I don't want to step all over Carrie's report (which I seem to be doing anyway) but I will say..chocolate cake with PB mousse..is great for breakfast...

I agree!
Those look Heavenly! I wish I wasn't in MA! (Hmmm. . . darn it all. . . now I need cake. . . I wonder where can I stop on my way home from work to find some kind of decent cake!)
Let's see... how 'bout this place:

Ok totally on baord for this one! It took me a while to read it this mornign but it rocks! Your sense of humor is fabulous Carrie! I saw a special on the travel channel with Samantha Brown where she went to Winter park. She visited a shoe store where they give you a pedicure with your purchase
Whoa! I guess I need to go back to Winter Park then. And maybe this time the ice cream place will be open.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you have a wedding pic WITH the Kodak Picture Spot. Your sense of humor is awesome!!

Thanks! It was just too good a photo op to pass up!
Have you thought about writing a novel (I know you did the passporter!)? You really are an awesome writer. I'm a voracious reader, and I truly enjoy your writing as much or more than most books I have read. It's really well done. Can't wait to read more!
That is really sweet of you to say! I think I must be more of a nonfiction writer, because it seems like, in order to be popular, novels have to be angsty and weird and have terrible things happen to the characters (oh wait - maybe that's only if you want your novel turned into a movie...

). But maybe.... if there were a market for fiction about people who visit Disney World all the time...
