Hi everyone! This is my first post here, and I'm glad I found the forums. I've learned alot. :)

I just made reservations for our meals (we have the DDP), and we weren't able to get the dinner and a show offered for Fantasmic on the night we were planning on going to MGM. I'm wondering if we should change around our plans and see if there's an availability for another night. Any advice? Rght now the only place we could get in was Mama Melrose, and that's at 3:50. There will be 2 children, so I'm wondering if they'll like the food at MM?? I was really hoping to be able to get the dinner and a show so we didn't have to wait in line. :(

Also, we were wanting to go to Donald's breakfast, but found out it was closed. We had heard it was going to be at Tusker House, but the person I talked to couldn't confirm that.

Food isn't bad at MM, did that twice and last year did Hollywood & Vine which was not the best. Went last year in Sept, and the crowds were lite could have had a CS and walked in the regular enterance. In fact we are going to do that this year cause we did not make ADR's for the Fantasmic Show. But this show is not to be missed ADR or not:) .

When are you going? That would make a difference for wanting the dining fantasmic package. If you are going at a busy time, you will want to dining package for sure (especially with children)...Without the package, you may have to wait in line for a long time to get in (during the busy times)...

I have a 6 year old (she'll be 7 by December when we go) and we're doing Mama Melrose. Actually she LOVED Fantasmic so much last time we watched it 3 times in a 6 day vacation so I've booked us at Mama Melrose one night and at Hollywood and Vine another one...:rotfl:

We'll be going Nov 16-22. The 16th we're going to MVMCP, and couldn't get in at the Liberty Tree, so I think I'll call and ask about the 17th since we'll be back at the MK for Spectromagic that night.

I could check and see if they have something available on the 18th. That days is kind of up for grabs, and is the day our friends will be arriving. They might be up for an early dinner and an "easy" night.

Unless you are going to try to do Fantasmic on a weekend and/or an MGM extra magic evening hours night, I wouldn't be too concerned about the Fantasmic package. You still need to "wait" a bit, even with the back door entrance and special seating to Fantasmic.

As far as the Donald breakfast- they aren't booking yet for it at its Tusker House location. I'd just keep watching these boards for when they open the reservations for it and call then. You may luck out and be some of the first guests in the new restaurant and have an easy time getting ADRs for it. My suggestion would be to plan to NOT have it (make another ADR) and then if you are able to get into it, cancel the extra meal.

:)

We went to the 10:30 fantasmic without the dinner package on June 13th and we were in line for over an hour. You really do need to get in line pretty early to get in the center section, the stadium fills up quickly once you get moving. I agree with beroh2253 that you can't miss it either way:woohoo:
