Rental Car on Disney Property?

How do you rent a car on Disney property mid week? We will only need it for a couple days to go to Universal for 2 days. I was thinking this was way less expensive than renting for the whole week. Is there any other inexpensive way to get to Universal?

Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental (which are the same company) are at the Car Care Center near the Magic Kingdom parking lot exit. They'll pick you up and drop you off within WDW. Call 407-824-3470 to make arrangements.

Hertz is right outside WDW, and they'll also pick you up and drop you off within WDW. I assume that the other major car rental companies do the same thing, but I've never looked into it.

Regardless of which company you use, be sure you check into the operating hours of the car rental location and shuttle service.

Alamo/National is the official agency of WDW. Besides the Car Care Center, they also have a desk in the lobby of the Dolphin. It's easily reached by Friendship boat from Epcot and MGM. They are open until 4pm.

I want to point out to you that a weekly rental, that includes saturday, of a economy car could be around the same rate as a 2 or 3 day rental and you'd have it for your use the whole trip. The saturday night requirement often give you access to codes or specials with really good rates. Just something to think about.
