We had an apartment with the fridge flush with the stove and a wall on the other side. The door opened toward the stove and I hated that. If you can, work it out so that you can stand at the stove and open the fridge.
I don't know if it would have cost less in electricity to have the fridge elsewhere because we never moved it. I would *think* that the fridge would have to run more often while the oven was hot, but who knows?
