recommend your planner??

The only negative things I've read on here really is to do with the BEO's being SUPER late

I wouldn't say BEO's are super late. They tend to (based on my own experience and what I've read here) arrive 4 weeks post planning session. So "late" depends on when one's planning session. We had ours at 8 months out and our BEO arrive about 1 month later.

Bill was our sales person; he was very nice. When we went for our site visit/planning session, he was on vacation and Diane showed us the Whitehall. She was very nice as well. As for planners, we have Celeste who is fantastic! Her assistant is Linda. They are both very prompt. Rose is our floral person. We want a wedding that is minimal on decor but top of the line for food/beverage: both Celeste and Rose have been very helpful in respecting our desires and designing/suggesting things that are in tune with what we want.

Circling back to your comment on the BEO's, like everything in life, you need to plan ahead. If someone plans their wedding with very short notice, then the BEO might arrive too "late" to make any changes. But with enough time, anything can be planned or changed.

what negative comments have you heard from Rosie from floral? I'd love to know because I'm actually about to set up an appointment with her and I'd love to be prepared for whatever comes my way!
I think the only thing I read about Rosie was that she can take a while to respond by email. Also it's possible some of the things I saw in the past were people mixing up Rose and Rosie hehe.

yep I think people mix them up a lot. Rose (Rose Dizon) is a wishes floral planner. I had her and she is so great- creative, responsive and just an all around cool girl. Rosie I beliveve works with escape brides?

Anyway I had Diane Bowen as my planner and she was awesome. Kristy was my SM and she was also so great. I did however have another planner first who I did not care for (I have not heard her mentioned for a while). We had a bit of drama and our SM switched us.

I did not have a great Disney wedding experience, but Rosie from floral was the one person I was thrilled with! She also helped my DH (then my DF), who is floral-challenged, pick out something special and wonderful for me.

She is a star in my book!:thumbsup2

My wedding planner is Ken Weaver and he has been wonderful. I have not met him in person yet, but he's been very easy to speak with over the phone. The great thing is he was the wedding planner for the Food Network Disney wedding so I was able to put a face with the name. His assistant Linda is amazing and a blast to talk to. Lauren Kidd from floral has been awsome to work with and responds to my e-mails in a timely manner. I would have lost my mind without all 3 of them.
BEOs do take a while to put together because planners have to get prices from catering and other vendors to give you the best accuracy possible. Ours took 7 weeks to come in because we asked for a custom cake, a smaller mariachi group and custom menus.

I have Maxine and she has been wonderful. I had Jennifer O'Leary first before I switched my date and she was very responsive and nice but I never met her in person.

I received my BEO in 4 days (including a weekend) because our wedding is so close (we just had our planning session a week ago). If your planning session is 6 months before your wedding then there isn't as much of a need to rush it. My floral budget isn't in yet though. It also depends on how much you decide at your planning session, that helps move things around.

We had Diane Bowen when we were planning our wishes wedding, and Tanis for the Escape wedding we ended up having this spring. Tanis was outstanding. Diane was a little hard to get a hold of, but other than that was a good planner. It was easier to work with her after the planning session. I clicked more with Tanis I think, but overall I didn't really have any complaints. I also worked with Laura and Rosie and found them both to be helpful.

We had Bill as our sales guy, who was extremely helpful and understanding with all of my questions. We ended up having Marion Stewart, who was the best to work with. As other people have posted before, you tend to have more communication with Linda Rhodes, her assistant. Linda was very prompt and helpful with returning emails, answering questions, etc. Every detail was attended to and I have to say our wedding would not have been the same without them involved in our wedding. Marion (or Linda..not sure who) even had Mickey & Minnie match our wedding colors- it was the one thing that I was unaware you could request. They also had Paul assigned to us for our MK photo shoot. Our perfect day can be attributed to their hard work- I definitely recommend having Marion as your planner. On a side note, Linda is the assistant for several planners, so even if you don't get Marion, you still can luck out and get her!

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but I currently have Marion as my Planner, and I just received an email from Linda Rhodes that she is transitioning to another department in Disney and will no longer be working with DFTW. :sad1: I am at least glad I had her for this long, as she really was super prompt and very kind...

OMG, I checked this thread (I'm reliving my wedding from 9 years ago) and I had Ken Weaver then!! He was awesome! I was a little reluctant at first (hey, he's a guy and has the same name of an ex-boyfriend!) but he was sooooooo great. I've kept in touch with him each and every Christmas since we were married in 1999. wow, I'm so glad he's still there! You will totally love him!! Good luck!:thumbsup2

Hi Everyone

I had Kritie Davis as my sales person as she is just the sweetest person ever. So lovely and always so happy to help. I was dissapointed to hear she would not be seeing the wedding through with me but i did not need to be as i now have Diane Bowen who is just wonderful. Totaly on the ball and very patient. I have had to change my BEO more times than i dare mention!!!

Diane is so organised and i feel totaly at ease with her which is amazing as i am a little bit of a control freak :rolleyes1
