Really Disney.....you're changing the popcorn too!

I love Disney popcorn.....and know loads of others do too.....why change what isn't broke!

1) Gee.
2) Tough answer.
3) MONEY !
4) You pay them Big Bucks and become a sponsor.
5) Then, you are everywhere.

NOTE: Examples:
. . . WDW pays nothing (zip, nada) for the Coke drinks, so Coke is the Official Drink
. . . before bankruptcy, Kodak paid for ALL the guides pamphlets and maps, hence, the Official Film

This must be why there are Orville Redenbacher ads comparing their product to Pops Secret in magazines now. Pop Secret is replacing Orville Redenbacher at Disney parks.

I'm wondering how many people are in love with WDW popcorn solely because they're not used to fresh, traditionally made popcorn? Most of the movie theaters I go to don't pop their own any more. Microwave popcorn, even though it contains oils or fats, has never been the same. Even Jiffy Pop stove-top was never quite the same.

I'd love to get a real theater popcorn cart for our rec room, but I have a feeling I'll have to settle for a stove top popper. But it should still be better than the microwave.

I hate microwave popcorn. I have a hot air popper that is probably going on 15 years old, and I love it. I can add real butter if I want, or use olive oil (in a mister) ...or anything else I want. But of all the popcorn kernels I have tried there are two that I would go without popcorn rather than eat again....Pop Secret and Kernel Seasons. One of the movie theaters here in town uses Kernel Seasons....and I drive about 15 minutes further away to go to a theater that uses Orville. Oh well, guess I'll save some money not having popcorn at Disney.....more money for France's Ice Cream! LOL
