So I was successful at reserving build a Droid and build a light saber for my boys as well as a reservation for Sci Fi... If we are successful at getting a boarding pass for ROR I am assuming you can not select your time so what if it interferes with any of these reservations?

In my experience, CMs are very understanding about conflicting ADRs/other “extras” reservations and BGs. I’ve been told by CMs to go to the ADR and then come back to RotR after and just explain that I’m late for my BG because of a reservation.

Edited to add: This may have changed in recent months - I agree with the recommendation from @mrsap to visit a GET CM right after you get your BG if you foresee a conflict.

My first practice today.... I did like I was instructed and was able to select the riders, did not read anything, did not select anyone, hit Join as fast as I can and it brought me to a screen where only I was but it said no park pass.... Now my question is would I have been successful if I did have a park pass? My party was not automatically selected like I thought they would be so how does that work if they are not selected when I hit join as fast as I can? We they automatically be selected when they do have a park pass? The completely crazy thing about this is that was my only chance.... Within 6:01 it was completely booked..... That is just insane

That was a success! When you practice and no one in your party has valid ticket media or a DHS park pass for the day, the default is to select only you (the logged in user). When your actual day comes and there are people in your list (including you) with valid ticket media and a DHS park pass for the day, the default will be to select all of you who meet those criteria.

Unfortunately, you cannot select your time. Once your BG number is called, you have an hour to get back to the ride. If an issue arises and you miss your BG due to your Droid or Savi’s, you can always visit a GET CM (under the blue tent) and see if there’s any way they can assist you. I would think they’d be understanding. Good luck and have a great time!!

Yes, that means you would have gotten it! On the day you actually have a reservation, it will automatically select everyone on your list that has a reservation for the park that day.

People practice from home each day to gain muscle memory for the day they have a park reservations.

There are a couple things that are different when practicing but it’s still beneficial to do it.

1. When practicing without a park reservation, only you will be selected. This is okay. Just keep clicking join as quickly as possible.

2. When practicing you will not be issued a BG pass but rather when successful see a screen that says something like, ‘Not so fast’ or something else that I can’t remember right now. If you see either of these messages you would have been successful.

If you see a red message that says all BGs are full, this would be considered an unsuccessful practice and you would not have got a BG that time.

I believe I would have been successful then because it brought me to the screen where I was the only one but said I did not have a park pass.... These boards are amazing!!!! All the years I have been planning trips people on here actually know more that the cast members lol!!! How in the world would you ever get a boarding pass without you guys!!!

The change you need to make is fo not stop to select guests. Don’t even check who is selected, just join, join, join.

The day you have a park reservation they will automatically be selected but even then do not stop to check.

If you hesitate or check you will not be successful. Most days BGs are full by 7:00:03!!! The BGs fill in 2-3 seconds!!

If on the day you have park tickets and are successful getting a BG and after the fact discover that not all people in your party were issued BG passes, go to the Guest Experience Team at the blue umbrellas in the park snd they should be able to add the extra guests who were not selected but this doesn’t happen very often.

That screen where you came to and only you were checked..... HIT THAT JOIN BUTTON THE BOTTOM IMMEDIATELY! It doesn’t matter who is checked, HIT IT!

After hitting that button, if you get a “Not so fast” message, you were successful.

I didn’t hit that button in my first test attempt. The screen confused me. I backed out, did it again, and got the “boarding groups full” red message.

This morning, the day of my actual reservation, everyone was check but I barely saw it because I smashed that bottom join button so fast my head spinning, haha!

Yesterday I had a successful practice but today I failed. I was switching between apps on my phone to view time.gov in Safari and then switched to MDE at 6:59:55 and counted the next few seconds myself. I was too early, had to back out to press the Join button again and by that time it was full. Lesson learned - have time.gov on another phone.

My understanding is that if you have them in your MDE and have park reservations in common, they will be automatically selected. You can also add on via guest services once your boarding group is reserved. Adding individually will always be too slow for securing a group.

BG 8 should be in the first hour of BGs. If they start calling at 8:40, you’ll have until 9:40 to get in line.

No need to select people. You will get the same number of passes as you have park reservations.
Everyone in your MDE who has a reservations will get a boarding group.
Slam those buttons 1,2, 3......don't read anything.
They are gone in 2 to 3 seconds every day.
I know the locations of the buttons and what color they are. Its muscle memory at this point.

We were at DHS on Friday 3/19. We were up and outside at Pop ready to get our boarding group and couldn't get it. They were full within 3 seconds lol. We did try again at 1pm and it was much easier. We sat at a table outside of the Starbucks on Sunset Blvd. It was fun hearing everyone cheering. We got boarding group 102 and we were called around 3pm, which was GREAT! No breakdowns! When we went in September we were BG 13 and weren't called until 1:30 and BG 54 and we weren't called until 4pm! It broke down a lot that week.

Actually having my family not plan on it is what I am doing... If we get it then that will be icing on the cake.... But here arises another question.... If successful you are not able to pick a time correct? You are just given a boarding number... The boys have building a Droid and building a light saber scheduled plus we have a reservation for Sci Fi... What happens if our boarding time interfere?

I would always suggest asking at the RotR queue entrance, even if you are late. I have often missed my time due to ADRs and they have easily accommodated me. Honestly, I think as long as you have a BG, they are very flexible about time. The only time I had to choose was at the very end of the day. My BG was called as my ADR came up, and there wasn't time to do both. They told me I would have to choose. (I chose Sci Fi as I had never been there and had rode RotR multiple times that trip. Still, it was sad to have been called but I could not ride.)
