Karen, you have a beautiful family. I found my way over here from the Oct 2011 thread and I have really enjoyed reading your PTR.

My family will be staying onsite (taking advantage of the DDP) but that pool where you will be staying looks luxurious. I would love the peace and quiet of staying in a house. I'm sure you guys will love it.

Congrats to you for deciding to run the 5K and how awesome that your son will be joining you. I won't be there at the time of the run, but I think a run through Disney would be enough motivation to get me to run a 5K

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to it. It's been really cool exercising 3x a week together, it's our special thing we do just us, together...well, when I'm not hacking up a lung! I almost went to run today, but decided I'm not quite well enough and I'm hoping for Wednesday!

DISNEY DAY!!! Today we did Cool Club!

Hope had a TON of stuff to decorate with for this, I printed out some Cool Club pics.

That was the first shot I took and I noticed something on the table, looks Hope snuck something in there...

A Disney Gift Card!!! FOR ME?!?!?!? WOOT! It was my Bday/
Anniversary gift! You know you have a true friend when they know EXACTLY what to get you!

Hope had all the fixin's and the directions for the girls to make their own soda concoctions!

The girls had a really good time making it! This was a really fun idea.

Kya was the brave one and tried a bunch of stuff before Savannah. She told me she didn't like any of the stuff they mixed up, but she didn't mind, we got them frozen cokes as well, so the mixing and trying stuff was just for fun!

Hope & I got to enjoy the afternoon while the girls played downstairs and ventured out into the snow briefly (I think they sat in my car for a while???) SNOW. that's right, it's been gorgeous here and now this. I'm not worried though, 60s by Wednesday and 70s by Thursday are predicted, so this is just a little blip in spring!

Next Disney Day is going to be a MESS of fun! But you'll have to wait to find out what it is!

BTW Hope, on the way home, Savannah said she wants us to do DD every week and I told her maybe this summer...uh...I don't know if we can come up with enough ideas (or AFFORD and of these ideas!)

Second... Let me just say that this Club Cool Disney Day is a super great idea! My 5 year old9Who is sitting on my lap) says that we need to do this!!!

I agree with him, you should do it! Lots of fun for kids to mix stuff and make their own flavors! I forgot all the flavors Hope had out, but she had vanilla, peppermint, rootbeer, and some apple juice. Not sure if there were others!

Ok, so for the sake of fun...ok, and to give me some ideas, I thought I would have a little contest. I'm unsure of what the prize should be, you could give me ideas on that too!

I thought I would make a contest out of our Disney Days! Whoever guesses it, wins! (remember, I'm not sure what you win, but just bragging rights is worth it, right?)

So, since I'm really just picking your brain and hoping to steal your ideas, post what you think our next Disney Day theme is, AND one thing you would do for that theme (what food would you eat, what would you decorate with, what kind of craft, etc.) Not all of those, just one...well, you can put all of them if you like!

I will be nice and give you a hint...it's a RIDE. See, that REALLY narrows it down, right???

Just love the Club Cool Disney day so fun and very sweet about your secret gift card gift...

so for your contest...maybe a broken elevator shaft...nah that's too dangerous...how about a Space Mt day... you know sit in the dark and have some spacey music in the background...Ok this isn't very helpful

but some other FUN disney ideas themed around rides could include Aladdin's Magic Carpets...watch the movie, have moroccan themed music and loom a rug or maybe just color some on paper

Oh, I've got an idea!!!.... I know how you guys like doing the "Dumbo Dash" so that could be one of your days.....

The movie Dumbo, of course, will be on....Activities could include a "dash" --- utilizing the outdoors (you are welcome, Hope) and could possibly incorporate packing peanuts somehow...., and a craft activity such as making Dumbo ears or stringing the packing peanuts...... etc.
Snacks will be drinks and PEANUTS!!!
