Hi,
We just decided to plan a trip around Thanksgiving this year. I've read about the Thanksgiving day crowds but how is it the friday before till the Wednesday before? We would be going the 17th thru the 24 or 25th. We've only been in May, June and July. I actually think this past June was the most crowed ever. We went June 8th thru 16th. May was decent both times and July 6 th thru 15 was really great. Hot but great. So compared to those times, what do you think about Thanksgiving week.
Thanks,
Jennifer

i have never been that week but i have heard it is pretty busy..we are going november 26-december 3....we should start a whos going thread....seems like soo far away but it will be here before we know it...

We visited WDW for Thanksgiving 2005, we arrived the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and the weekend crowds were just that, weekend busy. Monday and until mid day Tuesday it wasn't too bad. But, from Tuesday afternoon till we left on Saturday, it was very BUSY.

We liked seeing all the Christmas decor, but we have decided that we would NOT go back THanksgiving week again.

I plan on going that week too . Seems like so far away but I am sure it will go by fast. I am curious what is the date of thanksgiving next year? I am canadian so ours is in OCt

Hi,
Thanksgiving is Nov. 23 this year. I think we will go. I just need to call and make the ressies. Where will ya'll be staying?

We'll be there 11/19-11/23 at CSR, then going to USO from 11/23-11/25 then going on the DCL from 11/25-12/2 and 1-night at the Nick Hotel for the kids after the cruise.

We're going mostly for the cruise and may decide to skip WDW all together or only do 2 days since were going in May. Were only going to Universal because we have free tickets.

Mama,
That sounds like such a fun trip. Lucky you! You get to go in May too. That is my favorite month so far that we have gone. There is no way to talk my DH into two trips and the one is iffy now. I need to just call and get the details. :goodvibes

My friend Denise went one full week before THanksgiving and she found almost the entire trip to be crowded. We went from Thanksgiving day and the week after. From about Sunday on, it was dead. We went to MK on Tuesday, and it was DEAD.. I mean.. DEAD. I dont know if the rain in the morning kept people away. We had tickets for MVMCP that night, and it too, was dead. Ive been to 3 other Christmas parties, and this was by far the least crowded. It was great. If you want to go around Thanksgiving and want to avoid the crowds as best as possible, go from Thanksgiving weekend and the week AFTER Thanksgiving.

Another Thanksgiver here. We will be there from the 17th to the 29th. Staying at the AKL.

Cheers: :cool1:

ANother possible turkey weeker here.....I can't decide...I'm not a big fan of taking my kids out of school ( we will have a 7th grader & middle school has proved to be much more challenging for her)...anyway...We could go the week of Thanksgiving like the 18-24th....as my kids are off school the whole week of Thanksgiving..the pro's: not missing any school, being able to attend MVMCP. The cons: crowds, and I believe it's blacked out & a non-value week which means more $$. We could easily go over fall break in early October like we did this year & save money, have lower crowds, get to go to MNSSHP, BUT we really want to see WDW at the Christmas party!!! So what to do? I don't know haven't decided yet....another free dining promo might make up my mond thought! lol

I am also planning a trip during Thanksgiving week, but I haven't decided where to stay. And I am interested in going to the MVMCP...does anyone know when the tickets go on sale?
