I booked a reservation at Rainforest Cafe- Disney Springs, since my kids were disappointed when the one near us in the Northeast closed. I never found the food to be great but the atmosphere was amazing for the kids and they always enjoyed visiting the one that used to be near us once or twice a year. I figured this is a way for them to visit the restaurant again since it won't be returning to our area.

Can anyone give me some feedback on the Disney Springs one? Is it worth it? Should we be trying somewhere else even more amazing since we've been to a RC in the past? We have eaten at Raglan Road, but nowhere else in DS. My kids are 9 and under. Recommendations, please!

I've only been to the one in Disney Springs. (They closed the one near me). If it's something they miss, then do it. I imagine they're pretty much the same.

The only other restaurant recommendation in DS I can make for that age group would be T-Rex. I've never been but I think my 6 yr old dinosaur loving self would have loved it.

Have you thought of what I call Rainforests twin T-Rex? Even after she had outgrown Rainforest my now teen would ask to eat there.

When my kids were little, we dined there more than we would have cared to - just for the kids.

Nowadays, the kids request Wolfgang Puck Express. For some reason, they love it there. They claim it has the best chicken tenders and fries. We don't mind going since the food is always good and a QS on the DDP.

If your kids really want to go to the RFC, I'd go. We tend to dine wherever the kids pick to insure a peaceful meal.

We usually stay at PORS or POFQ and really like Disney Springs (boat ride away). We usually eat 5-6 meals there over our 2 week stays. We LOVE to use our quick service credits at Wolfgang Puck Express (rotiserrie chicken, salmon, pasta, pizza, salads, meatloaf ... all so good), but our trips always include at least one trip to T-Rex. Our teens still ask to eat there. We are Landry card holders, so we use our birthday rewards there (our summer trips cross over with my birthday month) for $25. We've eaten at the Rainforest outside Animal Kingdom and enjoyed it too. If you're looking for entertainment for your children, I think T-Rex and RC are good choices. FWIW we like the food there too.

It's pretty much the same as any other Rainforest Cafe. If your kids miss it and still want go, then do it. There are better options, food-wise, at Disney Springs these days, but sometimes an experience like that is about things other than the food.

I was just there 3 weeks ago. Yes, the atmosphere, but we had the best service of our whole trip at Rainforest. Not overly attentive, but interested in our happiness. It was a great experience. They have very wide variety of menu items, so easy to please just about anyone.
