Hi All, I have been over ruled by the younger members of our group and there has been a majority decision to eat at the Rainforest cafe on our first night

!! So does anybody know can you make a reservation, as on the DLP food guide it says this is not possible.

I would like to think our first night we could just arrive and be seated with a reservation , rather than having to wait about for ages in a queue if we are tired and hungry. Our journey from Shetland will involve over 36 hours of travel and we will only reach DLRP at about 5 pm.

So, anybody know if reservations are possible?

Thanks
Kaye

unfortunately, you can't reserve the rainforest cafe.

Oh what a pest! We never usually eat here as it doesn't accept the vouchers and we always buy the vouchers....but the two youngest boys of our group have set their hearts on eating here, so we reckon we could just double up the vouchers and get an extra special meal somewhere else....or plan B I will buy vouchers for one or two rooms only which will give us enough vouchers to cover the remaining night and BBWWS.

Any idea how long you normally have to wait...could one of us go ahead and queue for everybody? :confused3

Kaye

PS Thanks for the quick response :goodvibes

Is this for the October trip in your ticker? If so, the resort will probably be pretty quiet. I went in November a few years ago and we were seated immediately.

As long as you go before the parks close you shouldn't have to wait long.

Yep, agree with this - if its not high season you shouldn't have to wait long at all before park closing time at any of the restaurants in The Village.

Wow, what service you have answered not just this question but also my next [i.e. how busy mid October?] . I have phoned Disney and as long as I buy complete sets of vouchers I am alright so I am going to buy two full sets for two rooms [24 in total] which will cover the remaining meals and it looks like we will just turn up and hope for the best at the Rainforest cafe :thumbsup2

Will it really be quite quiet? That is such good news :goodvibes we normally go early spring to avoid any crowds and it has been worrying me that it might be busy?

Thanks again

Kaye

Whoops forgot to add...if we go after the parks close then could one of us go ahead to queue or do you all need to go [there will be 16 of us]?

It should be quiet, especially on weekdays. The last week of October tends to get a bit busier because schools are on holiday, but it's nothing like the summer season and most rides should have small queues.

I should imagine 1 person could go ahead and get the table but I've never tried it myself.

One thing to bear in mind is that you seem to be a large party, so you might need to wait a bit for a table to seat you all.

It would probably be better if there is a fast walker in your party to go ahead and warn them that you need a table for x amount of people as its totally different to saying I need a table for 2 or 4 people.:)
