Rain? Do you still go?

We are going to WDW for only 1 day after our cruise and the weather says there is a 60% of showers. We've already bought tickets. What should we do? Do people go when it rains? We have a 19 month old and walking around all day wet does not sound like fun! Any suggestions?

Nothing stops us! Get a rain cover for your child's stroller - put on some ponchos and enjoy the rain

Seems there is always a 60% chance of rain in Florida!!! I would go and be prepared for rain...bring some ponchos, sport sandals or some type of shoe that can take the rain. Usually when it rains in Florida, it's not all that chilly. WE have had some of our best times in the rain at WDW!!! Go, enjoy...you won't melt. Besides there are a ton of people who think they will melt so they leave the parks!!!! Very nice and uncrowded for those that remain.

The adult poncho works great as a stroller cover!! DD (now 2) actually loved it when it rained. There are still a great many things to do while it rains also!!

We did the Land/Sea package a few years back during Presidents week. We expected the parks to be really crowded but the rain saved us!! It rained every day so we were able to get on most rides with no wait. We wore the rain ponchos and expected to get wet but it was also 70-75 degrees so it wasn't so bad...Plus knowing that we would be in the Bahamas in a few days made it bearable as well.

Go, enjoy, and wear your ponchos!!! As long as it's not a severe storm w/ lightening, we stay in the parks and enjoy how empty it is. When we were there last month, there were alot of days they forcasted rain anywhere from 20%-60%. They day it was 60% chance, it rained up until about 6am then was sunny!!! So it may rain "that day" but it may be in the wee hours or very late that night so you might miss it. Have fun!

Absolutely ! Just bring ponchos and go to a park ! It is still great fun, with the possibility of lower crowds.

It rained on us one day the last time we went. As long as it isn't also cold, it can be fun if you let it. We didn't even bother with ponchos...our 3yr old loved it. Course, you need to get them dried quickly once you leave and hit some ACed hotel.

Go! Rain doesn't hurt. Who knows- it could just be misty all day long, or there could be a 20-minute thunderstorm that you can ride out in a restaurant or a show.

Rainy days are the best because of people like you. They think eh, rain, who wants to deal with kids and the mess and the wetness. Minus being wet (which isn't all that bad if you buy rain panchos) it's a blast. It keeps most people away!!!

Of course it's fun. Don't be a baby! it's disney world, how bad could it be I could see if it were a hurricane or something. Besides, damp weather keeps a lot of the tourists away, so the crowds may be lighter. Not to mention it will be cooler. Have fun!

I say go, it always seems to rain at least one day when we are there! Just bring some ponchos if there is a chance or spring for the $7 Disney ponchos when you get stuck without one!!! The lines are always shorter on rainy days and you can ride splash mountain without being scared to get wet!!!

It is always a 60% chance of rain. I have never been there when it wasn't. Of all those days, there were only 1 or 2 where it actually rained for any length of time. Usually it is only for like an hour, then it's done for the day.

ITA, go and have a great time. It rained 4 of our 6 days in June, and I mean it really rained all day long. We had an amazing time!

Just go! On our last trip it rained EVERY DAY - almost all day and we had a blast! Low crowds, we never had to wait in line, we walked into CRT breakfast with no problem. My husband actually hopes it will rain on this trip!

I live in Oregon and it rains here almost everyday. Of course I go when it rains!
