Rachel & Chauncey-SBP/Morocco 12/08/09 Updated 6/10 TR IS DONE!!!!

Oohhh- love the dress! Especially the bottom!! You look fantastic in it!

Thanks again everyone for all your kind words!

Nothing really major to update right now, my veil did come in but I haven't had a chance to take pics yet. We're kinda at a slow point in the planning while we're waiting to hear back from some people. To help keep me busy I've been playing with some of our engagement pics in Photoshop:

I did ask Kathleen about having a photographer at our desert party and she came back with a quote of $350 which includes the photographer for the hour, prints and posting of the pics on the web. Has anyone had a photog at their DP? I'm on the fence on whether it would be worth it since I know their photogs will know how to best use the dim lighting and the fireworks, but at the same time I'm pretty sure his mom and/or my mom could do just as well. Plus we aren't wanting any prints of our pics, we're just going to order the CD and print our own. :confused3

Also, I have my phone appointment with Rosie on Tuesday which is exciting. Anything I should know before I talk to her?

That's it for now! :wizard:

I really like the little touches you did on your engagement photos... really cool! :thumbsup2 I love the black nd white one with the colts sign in color. (even though i'm a hardcore pats fan!:rotfl:)

Hey Rachel! I love your photoshop pics!! The one of you 2 in your jerseys (the 1st one) is my fave! So cute!

Ohhh a Pats fan eh? Well we can't all be perfect can we :rotfl: Just kidding, what would football be without some friendly rivalries right? :thumbsup2

Thanks! I think that one is my favorite as well.

Yeah more updates! I caught my DF's cold so I've been trying to take it easy, luckily I have the power of the internet at my disposal. :surfweb:

I've ordered some of my BM's gifts, taking advantage of some great deals. I've ordered this cuff which will be personalized with each girl's name:

cuff.jpg

This mini-photo holder in blue, which will also be personalized with each girl's first initial:

photoframe.jpg

And then I bought their jewelry which I think will add just enough of that Disney touch without being over the top:

jewelryset.jpg

And then I just off the phone a while ago with Rosie from Disney's Event Group! She was so nice and easy to talk to. We talked about our floral and photography. I'm planning on doing my own bouquet (I was leaning toward silk ivory roses with the peacock feathers, but now I might do just all feathers  ) and Rosie said since I'm doing my own bouquet that I could substitute the bouquet that comes with the package for the BM bouquets. I'm not sure what we'll do for them yet since I don't know what dresses they've picked, but we'll probably do all ivory roses. Then my DF's bout will be an ivory rose with a peacock feather, and the two groomsmen will just be ivory rose bouts.

We're also doing the solid ivory chair covers with alternating between royal blue and teal satin sashes:

Other than the chair covers we aren't doing any other decor at SBP except for petals on the aisle. I love the way SBP looks as it is with the rustic wood and the water in the background.

We're also all set as far as photography. We have Amy listed as our top choice for our photographer for both the EPCOT session and the wedding itself, although Rosie said it's still to early to really try and guarantee her but she is at the top of our list. Rosie said that DPS is really trying to get more into a mix of traditional and artsy photography which makes me really happy. From what I've seen of Amy's work, I think she'll do a fantastic job. We're going to forgo getting the proof book and the online photo listing and just purchasing the high-res disk with all our pictures so we can print our own.

I think that's it for now. DF and I are going to his parent's this weekend for Easter and we're going to go over plans for the at-home reception so I'll probably have more when we get back!

I'm getting married! :woohoo:

holy sick day!!! I'm sorry that you caught your DF's cold, but man oh man you are productive while sick! I am a lump on the couch when I am sick, but I'm a huge baby when sick lol!

SBP will look amazing as you are having it set up, the blues are great and the peacock feathers in (or as) your bouquet will look so cool!

Also, great BM gifts! The braclet is very pretty and very re-wearable (is that a word??). And the mickey jewlery is perfect, very tasteful and playful :) And the photo albums will be great for putting pics of the wedding in afterwards too:goodvibes

I'm usually a lump too, luckily I've only got the head cold and not the added sinus infection that DF had as well.

It was funny cause Rosie had asked about what I wanted as far as my bouquet and while I was explaining to her how I wanted to do my own with the feathers the idea of a total feather bouquet popped in my head! Good thing is that I've already bought the supplies so I'll have to experiment some more. I think it would be a great contrast next to my ivory dress and give it that dramatic Hollywood vibe I'm going for.

I'm excited for my BM gifts, the bracelets we're like $7 a piece and the frames were like $4, both with free personalization! I hope they like the jewelry as well, I think it add just enough whimsey and that Disney touch. I'm wearing Mickey earrings as well but I haven't found a necklace I like yet. Must keep searching the net :surfweb:

Sorry for the lack of updates, something's wrong with my internet connection so my wireless is iffy at the moment

Anyways, I had a busy weekend! Chauncey and I went to his parent's house for Easter weekend which was great to visit since they live to far away (3 hours one way  ) Since we're having the at-home reception up there, his mom has been a great help since I'm not familiar with the area. We got to visit the church where the reception will be held. It has this big room which is shaped like an octagon which is pretty cool. And then another multi-purpose room that'll be used for my bridal shower in August. It's a good thing we're waiting a bit after the wedding to hold the reception, cause we also worked on the guest list and it's already at over 200 people! Granted a good 10-20% won't show up but still, it's gonna be a party!

We also had some time to work on designing some stuff for the wedding. I put together the wedding programs:

ProgramBlurred.jpg

And then Chauncey designed the save-the-dates for the reception:

We also got the addendum for our contract to add the desert party to our BEO so I'll be sending that back to Kathleen with our signatures some time this week. And we have our plane tickets! A friend of my mom's bought our tickets as a wedding present so that's one less thing we have to worry about purchasing.

That's it for now!

Time for more updates.

We got the addendum off to Kathleen so now we're set for the desert party.
As soon as it gets signed we can work on the menu. Right now we're just waiting to finalize the guest list and I've been a busy bee ordering stuff off the internet (and then waiting oh so impatiently for it to arrive :rotfl:).

The bridesmaid gifts came in the mail a couple of weeks ago:

Along with my veil:

And then we ordered this tie for all the guys:
Herringbone-RoyalTie.jpg

And then DF is going to order these cufflinks for the GM gifts:

I've also hit up Goodwill and found these for our toasting flutes (99 cents a piece!):

And these for potential containers for the candy buffet for the at-home reception:

That's about it for now. One of my bridesmaids is visiting next week and then my other BM will up up to visit at the end of May. This will be one of the few times I'll get to see either of them before the wedding and I can't wait to see either of them.

Now we're waiting for Disney to release the park hours for December so we can plan what parks we'll be in and also do some tours. I've been trying to find out how far ahead you can book tours, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Can anyone help me out there?

Man I love getting stuff in the mail. The ties already arrived and they're perfect! I'll have to get a picture of them later as my camera isn't at hand. Also when I was out running errands I went to Payless looking for potential wedding shoes. I thought I was going to go with ballet flats in silver, but I found the cutest peep-toe shoes and they're from their dyeable range, so they're going to look like this:

They should arrive in about 2 weeks so I'll pose with them on when they come in!

I love the shoes rachel! very very pretty! :goodvibes

The braclets came out great for the BMs and i LOVE the cuff links!:thumbsup2

The birdcage veil is going to look awesome with your dress too... very classy!

I hadn't realized how long it had been since I updated! Not much has been going on but I'll update what I can.

My shoes came in and they are super cute (and comfy)!

Also the crystal stems I ordered came in as well. The blue ones I'm gonna use in my bouquet, and the clear ones are gonna go in the bridesmaid bouquets and the groomsmen bouts.

Also, we had won a free engagement session back in January and we were finally able to use it once mother nature decided to warm up. We took photos on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art which is a large area with all kinds of flowers, sculptures, and other stuff. Our photographer, Mike Taylor, was easy to work with. He's got a small number of our photos up here:

http://www.miketaylorphotography.com/gallery/8015463_jcQRf#521387553_Jx6Br

I'm hoping he'll get more up soon, but for now these will have to do.

I'd emailed Rev. Jack to ensure he got our ceremony, and he was so funny because he emailed me back via is cell phone which he thought was so cool to be able to do! I'm also in the process of finalizing our floral with Rosie and hopefully we'll get to start working on our dessert party menu soon with Kathleen.

I think that's about it for now!

I was wondering where you went! Glad you're back! I LOVE your shoes! :cloud9: i'm doing the same thing. The crystals a pretty too they'll look so pretty in your bouquet with the peacock feathers next to them.:thumbsup2
