I appreciate everyones opinion too... BUT at least with the Q button everyone who wanted to take the quest could get on to do it..now unless we are lucky enough to get in? just a bummer?

I agree it was nice, easy and convienant. I am not sure of the thoughts vmk has on why they would or would not do it. We were all sorry to see no quests offered last month.I appreciate everyones opinion too... Oh, for Pete's Sake, which room has Donald Duck in the window!?![]()

My guess is that they host has to submit the quest far enough ahead it can be put on the Q - Fin is pretty reliable from what I can tell so I doubt she missed a deadline. That said, my best guess is she wanted to offer a variety of prizes with a few spacial items in it and that can't be done on the Q from what I can tell.
If they stopped doing it all together I would have a different thought but they have clearly given the option to the host to use Q since it says it may be there on the calander. It must be up to them individually on this event.
While that's true, for those that have dozens of bat bags left over from last year and don't care about 1 time use magic, that quest was not worth doing.keep in mind there was a Q button quest yesterday, i think they're just trying to switch it up..keep it interesting and try out new things.![]()
Sometimes I just don't understand the Hosts or VMK, whomever is deciding the prizes and how you win them. I mean they could have done the Q button quest and give everyone a chance at some of these items, but no only 200 people will win.
Well, because the bat bag is this month's host prize. Just like some months a pin is.Why don't they just take the host rooms and set up certain teleporters to win different prizes during the week instead of 1 item all month? With that room they have had up all week with 12 teleporters you could have 1 give out bat bags, 1 give out halloween bags, 1 give out pumpkins, and 8 others give out the old Halloween and mansion pins, and have 1 lead to a no win room. Instead we get bat bags all month and than have to be extremely lucky to get into the once a week host trading event.
How can you compete for best guest room with all bat bags in your room? VMK sometimes seems to me to be simple minded in my opinion. Almost like they don't want newer people to have anything at all. I think my description of a host room would make alot more people happy than the current set up where 200 people will be happy and the rest can just be angry.
I think it's really important to realize that the hosts that we see (Fin, Hula, and Lily) do not make all the decisions about prizes and how they will be distributed. They are hosts. They are the "front line" for the players. I may be very wrong, but if what I have been told is correct, they are not in the position to decide, Hmmm, let's give a candy cauldron to everyone on Sunday.Come on VMK and Hosts, cough up some different prizes for everyone and not the same prize all month.
Just a note to vmk that the quit quest button gets me all the time it is in a very bad spot - How about a pop up that says - " Are you sure you want to quit?"
Love the kiosk. Two words: Candy Cauldron
Well, because the bat bag is this month's host prize. Just like some months a pin is.
And pin trading is a completely different event, 1 that requires 100% focus from the host.
Last year, some more senior players explained something to me about VMK that I did not see at the time when I was feeling exactly as you are now. If part of what you enjoy in VMK is the stuff, VMK is very much about having a plan for 6 months from now. 6 months from now, ppl will trade a decent amount for a bat bag. Today, ppl will trade a decent amount for the host pin from April.
As a player, you need to plan into the future and think, "Where do I want to be in ___ months?" And then create a plan to get there.

It's only the 7th. You have lots of time to get Halloween goodies. Although, also realize you may not get them all. I went the entire month of October without ever getting my little virtual hands on a Candy Cauldron last year, despite LOTS of effort to win one. Was it frustrating to see a friend get lucky enough to win 4 while I got none? Sure! Although, it's frustrating to see friends fly off to Hawaii during the summer when you have to stay home and work. Sometimes, we can't all win everything. It makes the win that much more special when you DO get that lucky win though.
With all sincerity and trying to be helpful: Your plan for this Halloween, if you want to aquire rare stuff in vmk should be to think, "What do I need to get now that I can trade for stuff 6 months from now?" It's a game that builds upon itself. Probably the 2nd best advice any VMK player ever game me.

P.S. The best advice? Buy weekend pins in quantity. (You 2 know who you are - best advice EVER! Thanks for that... you were soooo right!) Again, part of the 6 month plan.
