MDR meals to-go?

OP, I’m glad you are going to be able to enjoy this time with your family. Disney really does go above and beyond when there are concerns-especially health concerns.

Talk to your head waiter about your issue and go to guest services or it may be the main ding room on your ship-when you board to change your dining time, if it has not been resolved before you board.

Again, talk to your head waiter and waiter that are assigned to you on your first night in the dining room or before if you can they may be able to look them up for you.

We were concierge in a one bedroom an our in-room dining was not simply dropped off like standard room service. When we dined in our cabin, we had an attendant with us the entire time. He set the table and waited outside. When it was time for dessert, he left to retrieve it, and after it was plated, we gave him his gratuity and let him know that our room attendant would take care of the remaining setup.

We had two room attendants, and there was usually one available somewhere on Deck 12. We were in cabin 12000 on the Dream, which had a very large balcony— not private, but very nice.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise and I like I said, DCL will be helpful.

I was on a Disney Cruise with my family and my son was napping during dinner time. My wife was just going to call in some room service while I went with my daughter and mother in law to dinner. The waitstaff asked about my wife and I said she was in the room with my napping son. The wait staff gave me 3 choices

1. They could send the dinner to our stateroom with my wife

2. My wife could pass on the dinner sent to her room and my wife could get room service

3. I could walk the dinner to my wife (I chose this option)

Our room was 1 floor below or above the restaurant (Animators Palate) so the wait staff handed me a plate with a metal covering on it. I walked it over to my wife and she was SOOO happy. It was NOT a big deal at all.

On my last cruise, I was also on the wait list for 1st dinner and it came through eventually. I did not get a notification or anything. I looked at the DCL website and it was changed to 1st dinner. Since you have a medical reason, I would contact Disney directly and inform them of your situation. I would not want burgers/tacos/pizza every meal neither.

Again, that was a one time thing. Not a "we need this every night" thing
