"Quit Stepping on my Foot!" ~An April 2010 TR~ *NEW! 6/18 Last update!*

Hey, we were at DHS on the 8th too! We are probably somewhere in that picture of the hat with the crowd. :rotfl:

That's so cool we were there at the same time
Who knows, maybe we ran into each other at some point?
LOL, the crowds were big tht day

We love TSM!! Ahh...too bad it had such a long wait time...that and RNRC.:sad2: Oh well...like you said it gives you a great excuse to go back!:thumbsup2

I'm so glad you liked One Man's Dream. We have been wanting to see that but for some reason we always run out of time. Hopefully next trip!!:)

I definatly want to ride TSM again, it's a fun ride!

It was cute and really interesting, hopefully ya'll will get to do it next time

Great TR! I have had fun catching up!

Thanks!

IMG_6002.jpg

^I had tons of fun hanging out with my old friends

I love those pics :thumbsup2

Never done One Mans Dream before, I'm definatly going to have to do it next time!!

First off, You are so pretty!
What a fun night at DTD/POLY! You inspired me plan a night at the Poly this summer. We prob. won't stay there; just hang out and ride the monorail. I can't believe your brother wanted to stay back and watch baseball! Especially, Yankees! I mean, if it was a Red Six game then...:upsidedow

Aww, thanks Barbara! :goodvibes
Awesome, I'll definatly be looking forward to seeing how your night at the Poly goes this summer!
Haha, my brother is REALLY into his baseball. I'm sure if it was a Boston game, he'd be much more willing to have gone to DTD with us

Great Update, I liked that One man's dream attraction when I was there a few years ago, we skipped it this time, My DH was not feeling too good on our DHS day so we only did a few things.

That said I knew a lot of the info you learn there but from a few books I had read, (I actually did a term paper on him when I was in nursing school) but it was cool to see in person some of the things spoken about in the books.

Thanks(: I doubt we'll do it this summer though, my brothers wouldn't be into looking at that stuff and watching the movie. Oh well!

That's cool you wrote a paper on him, last year I wrote an essay on the history of WDW, but I've always wanted to write an essay on Walt!

I've read a book or two about him, but I agree, I liked seeing the things in person(:

April 8th
Day 4
HWS & POP

After One Man's Dream, we decided it was time for some lunch.
My aunt suggested Catalina Eddies. My mom and I have never eaten there before, se we decided to give it a go!
IMG_6003.jpg

We all planned orginally to get a sandwhich (forgot the exact name...) but it came with swiss cheese (my mom doesnt like swiss) and they wouldn't take it off for her, so she ended up getting a burger.

IMG_6004.jpg

The sandwhich was good... except for the parsly on it... it was gross tasting. I tried to get it all off my sandwich, but it wouldn't all come off, so that was a downer):

It was pretty crowded, but I found a table for us in the shade while my mom and aunt were waiting in line.

There was a lady there who tried to take a few of my chairs. We originally had four, and only needed three, so when she came up and asked me if I had any extra chairs, I told her she could take one. Well, she picked one up and then started to pick up another. I'm like "Sorry, but I need that one." and she said "Are you sure?..." "Yes, I'm sure." She gave me a look, took one of the chairs and left.

So, while I was waiting for the rest of the time, I put my feet up on the other two chairs(:

After lunch, it was time for some shopping!
The first store we went into had a lot of cute stuff! I ended up getting a bag that I LOVE
IMG_6006.jpg

(It's got black polka dots, and in some places, instead of polka dots, it's mickey heads! I think it was $25? And they had it in brown with pink mickey heads, but I liked the black and white better.

My aunt got a realllllly cute t-shirt and my mom got the WDW backpack

We checked out a few more stores, including the Villan's store, but were dissapointed with it. They didn't have much villan stuff, it was mainly those Vinylmantions (is that how you spell it?).

We decided after shopping it was time to go, so off we went to the bus stop.
While we were waiting in line for the bus, my aunt noticed these flowers behind us

IMG_6008.jpg

My aunt and mom really liked them, and told me to take pics of them, because they wanted to know what kind of tree they were. We decided we could try to look for them at EPCOT later, because of the whole flower and garden festival, they might have a sign on what its called or something.

Anyone know what they're called? If you do, you win the title of "Most Awesomest Flower Namer" ;)

Up Next: "We're Soain' - Flyin' " "No... not for another fifty minutes."

Your bag is too cute!
I ate at CE once before, but we had to sit in the sun because all the tables with umbrellas/coverings were taken):

Your bag is so cute!!:goodvibes
We've never tried Catalina Eddies before. ..it's just outdoor seating right?

Oh and that's very strange that the lady wanted to take your other chair even after you told her you needed it. :confused3

I like that bag! I'm getting some sort of bag when I'm there-there's just so many choices!!

You know, I've never heard of nor noticed that CS place in DHS. How was your mom's burger? I don't like swiss either so that would be a deal breaker for me too.

Crazy about the would-be chair stealer. Some folks are just hard headed!

Sounds like a fun girls only morning at DHS! I love your bag.

It was! I was happy to get to spend some time with out all the boys(:
Thanks

love the bag
ive never eaten at catalin eddies before, ive heard its pretty good though

Thanks!
Yeah, it was alright

Thanks(:
Yes, it's outdoor seating. Which is probably the main reason I've never eaten there before then. My dad liked to eat inside(:

I know, and there was actually a table a few feet away, in the sun, where nobody was sitting at, that had a few chairs... and yet she wanted mine :confused3

It is a hard choice to make, because there are SO many different bags! If I could, I'd have so many bags from WDW, there are so many cute ones(:

I've never heard of it either, until my aunt brought it up. We normally eat at ABC Com. because it's indoors. My mom liked her burger, much more then she would have liked the sandwhich

Some people... :headache:

Hey Sara!! Sorry I've been MIA!! Love your updates though!!

I like how your cousins had Phineas & Ferb shirts on AK day. Haha. I LOVE THAT SHOW!!

And I still think you are crazy for not liking ToT! The little seat belts just add to the experience! I love it. We have a similiar ride at a local theme park here. And by similiar, I mean it drops you. Only once though and only down. For that one drop, they have these HUGE shoulder pad seat belts that are just massive. Ridiculous. I like the puny seatbelts.

Can't wait for more!!

Hey Kimmy

I LOVE Phineas and Ferb too! And I'm glad that my cousins have those shirts, they're too cute(:

Haha, I think it's weird, I can handle rollercoasters with huge drops, but not ToT... Maybe if they had better seatbelts... I think you're crazy for liking the tiny seatbelts
We have a ride somewhat like ToT at some theme park by us, and it basically drops you a couple times, and you have these massive pads all around you and seat belts all over the place

April 8th
Day 4
EPCOT

After we got back from HWS, we took a short break, before deciding it was time to go to EPCOT! And we were all out the door, shortly after. All of us, except DB12 and my dad that is. They were staying back, and watching the Yankees game.

I had to take a pic of DB11's awesome Mickey shirt he had gotten from DTD the day before...

IMG_6010.jpg

So, we left without them! Their loss.

We got on the bus, with one mission in mind... to ride Soarin'! A ride that I LOVE! And, a ride that my aunt, uncle, and cousins haven't ridden. So it was a must do, and we decided that no matter how long the wait, we were going to ride it!

IMG_6011.jpg

We walked right over to Soarin'
IMG_6012.jpg

IMG_6014.jpg

A few seconds later, we were walking up to the line, and saw the wait time...
....................
Which was....................................
......................
.....................
Aren't you dieing to know?
................
...................
.....................
...........................
.................
90 MINUTES!

And... we hopped right in

The CM gave us that card/lanyard thing, to see how long the wait is, so that gave us some entertainment, holding it throughout the wait.

About 30 minutes later, we were walking up to the area where play those interactive games.

We played one game on the first screen for five minutes, waited five minutes, played one game on the second screen for five minutes, waited five minutes, played one game on the third screen for five minutes, waited five minutes, and so on with the other screens.
I'd say we spent a good forty minutes playing/waiting those games.

After about... an hour and twenty minutes, we were passed the screens, and by the guy who tells you which direction to go. Once we got by him, we waited another half hour, before we were put into our row.

We had decided that since my cousins might get afraid, we shouldn't sit in the first row, where you're all the way up. But, we didn't think it would matter, because the chances of us getting first row were slim. Guess what? We were supposed to be in the first row! Lucky, right? But, we asked the CM if we could go in the second row, which really isn't as bad as the third.

We watched the video, before heading off and into our chairs.
Our seating order:
*End of row* UD, DC6, AR, DC4, Me, DB11, Mom, people...

I held my breath before we took off, I really didn't want my cousins freaking out... My aunt and I also reminded my cousins, "There's no crying if your don't like it, just close your eyes"

And off we went! Soarin' through the hills, past the beaches, over the golf course, through the orange grove *my favorite*, above the cities and all the traffic, over DL, and into the fireworks!

Wow, if you've never ridden this ride, YOU MUST! I've ridden it a few times, and each time it gets better! It's so breath-taking! You REALLY feel like you're there. You're feet are dangling (I think it feels cooler if you take your shoes off...) below you, a soft breeze if blowing in your face, the smell of oranges is in the air, you can hear the city noises, and watch the magical fireworks! *After that wonderful explanation, I bet I know where you're wanting to be right now!*

Let me just say, to me, it was well worth the wait!

But, did my aunt, uncle, and especially, cousins like it?

Everyone's opionion, along with the kids thumbs up (out of 5)
Me: So magical! Definatly worth the wait!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
DB11: Awesome! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Mom: Well worth the wait
Aunt: LOVED it! So glad we waited for it! (5 thumbs up)
Uncle: It was pretty cool, I'm glad we waited (4 thumbs up)
DC6: It was sooo beast *yes, I taught him to use the word "beast" instead of "awesome", because, if you couldn't tell by my username, "beast" is my word lol) :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
DC4: BEAST!!!! I wanna ride it again! Right now :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Neither cousin were scared, they both did an AMAZING job, and ended up loving the ride!

Yay(:

Where did we find ourselves next?

Up Next: Why is it FREEZING in here?
