I`m going to ring in the next few days for my ADRs, I`m staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for 2 weeks starting 4th of September.
My question is what do I need when I phone up.
I booked through Thomas Cook in their shop, and I have my invoice.
Do I need some sort of reference number?

One more question while I`m here, for booking Cindys you have to give them a credit card number, will Visa Electron do?

When we booked we just needed our Uk reservation number and its a six digit number(this might be the same as your invoice from your TA). They then asked for the first named passenger and your home address. They will then confirm which resort you are staying at and your check in dates. Don't panic if they say they can't find you at first it took about ten mins for the girl I spoke to.

Have a pen and paper handy to take down all the reservation numbers along with the list of places you want to go. I made sure that I was relativly flexible on times and managed to get all six of the reservations at around the times I wanted give or take at the most 1/2 hour.

Have a back up if you can't get your first choice although certain ones are very hard to get hold of.

Remember you can only go up to 10 days from your checkin date and any longer you will have to call back.

Not sure about your other question sorry.

Good luck and make sure that you are on the phone when they open so if you can 12pm uk time I have got straight through after a brief promo message. :cheer2:

One little bit of advice that springs to my mind is when you call up to make them & you request a table at (insert restaurant name here) for 7pm they have been known to come back & say we don't have any availabilty, make sure you ask them what times they have got they usually come back with we can do a table for 7.05pm.

Good luck, I hope you get what you want. I will be calling for mine next week. :yay:

I am travelling on the same day! :cool1:

My question (from someone who has never made ADR's) is this;

I am staying off-site and therefore do not have a reference number! What do I do about making ADR's?

If you are staying off site you do not need to give a reference. This is only for onsite guests that wish to make 10 days worth of ADR's at the 90 day mark - it is so the CM can ensure that they are on site guests.

OP - if you are wanting CRT then I would be inclined to call Disney Dining a few days early and let them search for your hotel reservation and get the US reservation number (12 digits) from them. Then at the 90 day mark, you can just give this straight away and you won't be waiting whilst they try to find you on the system - this means you should have a better chance of getting CRT.

Also, Visa Electron should be ok - just say it is a Visa and give the number etc - it will only confuse them if you mention Electron. As long as it has the Visa symbol it will be processed as a Visa card - doesn't matter if it is debit or credit card.

I made my ADRs about half an hour ago, and I was going to ask about using a Visa Electron to hold CRT but my mum let me use her credit card so I'm afraid I don't know the answer now!
In terms of a reference number, I just gave my Disney UK number, my full name, telephone number and the hotel I was staying in. She didn't say anything about the 12 digit one.
I managed to get all of the reservations I wanted on the days I wanted, but I had to be a bit flexible with my times I got CRT and Le Cellier at about 5.30pm which is much earlier than I wanted. But I love Le Cellier, and I adore the castle so it's worth it!

Thanks for the advice. I take it I will have to phone every day, seeing as I am staying off site? Is there a different number to phone from the UK? Also, what time UK do you recommend calling?

Sorry for all the questions. Can you tell Im a newbie? I've only ever been as a kid with parents...so first time planning!

If you ring 08448 617878 first then when it asks you to type in the number you want to ring type in 001 407 939 3463 (WDW-DINE number) This will only cost 1p/min which can save a lot of money as some CMs tend to take hours booking all your meals!

I rang at about 5pm yesterday and had a 4 minute wait. I still managed to get Cinderella's Royal Table, Le Cellier and a Fantasmic dining package at Hollywood and Vine - all of those are quite popular, and some people say you have to ring dead on 12pm to get them (CRT breakfast at least).

You can ring 90 days before the day you want when staying offsite, so it's up to you. You could leave it until 90 days before the last day you want and book them all in one day, or ring up every day, it depends which meals you want really as some are more popular than others. Although that said, some people cancel/alter their ADRs before their trip anyway so if there's something you can't get, try again a few days/weeks later!

Hope that helps, and have an awesome trip! :thumbsup2

Thank you all for the advice, just made the call and got everything I wanted.
Have to phone again for the last 4 days :goodvibes:goodvibes
Special thanks to Howellsy for that number.
Can`t wait Cindys here we come
