Hello again.

I've seen this briefly addressed before on different threads, but I'm looking for some solid information. We've decided to stay at a deluxe hotel just to have the express pass during our stay. Through all the threads I've read here, this seems like the best bet especially since we'll be staying late October.

The only thing that concerns me is the idea that we may miss some of the queues. Are there attractions where we'd possibly miss the queue by taking the express pass entrance? In which attractions does this apply if so? This is a huge part of the attraction and we really don't want to miss anything if we can plan ahead.

We haven't been to UO since the early 90s which is way before they even added IOA. I hope to return soon after this visit, but of course we want to make the most of our time.

Any feedback would be great!

There are a few queues that are worth doing. Forbidden Journey and Gringotts, of course, but they don't have the express pass anyway. They do have single riders, though, so if you use that make sure you do the regular queue at least once. You can do a castle tour at Forbidden Journey (just ask the attendant at the front) but Gringotts doesn't have a special tour.

Mummy has a neat queue as well, but personally I wouldn't stand in the regular line unless it was only about a 10 minute wait.

Thanks Damo. I just realized I used the wrong form of 'queue'. And it sounds like we don't have to worry about missing many queues anyway so this is great news. So is Mummy the only attraction with EP in which we shouldn't take the EP line so that we won't miss the great queue?

I agree with Damo. If any of the lines are very short you can always do the regular queue to check it out.

i guess i'm different.
there are some rides where i will hit early in the morning once the park is opened to do the regular lines.
you miss some of the story and background of the ride when using express lines only.

i always hit mummy, hulk, dr doom, spiderman regular line once, then do repeats with express.

some that do dr doom don't understand the ride if they only use the srl or express.
the ride makes sense when doing the regular line.

Those were my thoughts exactly. So is every express pass line setup to practically miss the story/background? I would think that these lines (walkways) are physically shortened for easier access. Is this correct?

i also do the ET regular line as there is more to see walking in that line.
and i like the smells in that building.

like the other rides i mentioned above, i do hit the regular line one time on my visits and then use the express lines or srl.

if you know the story line, you can still catch on if you go express for the ride.

some people only want the thrill of the ride, the action you get on it and not info or background that ties the story together once on that ride.

ET ep line does not detract to the story but the regular line adds to the story.
same with MIB lines.

One that will matter is Spiderman. I do enjoy the queue to that one. Someone mentioned Forbidden Journey and Gringotts but those rides are not options for the express pass so you will see them :)

the single rider line for FJ does have you miss some of the regular line sites.

I don't think I've ever done the entire queue for Spiderman, ET or Doom.

I think we've done Doom full queue in the dim and distant pass..........but not for years......ET we do occasionally and Spider-Man regular queue we did once in 07. No need to do it again.

I can't even remember Doom regular queue...........
