Questions re:BWV 2br in early Dec

I am hoping to plan a 5 or 6 day trip to BWV in 1st week of Dec, Sun-Thurs, with DH, our 4 kids, and my mom. The 7 month mark is quickly approaching and I was hoping to get a little advice since this will be our first stay at BWV (we have stayed at BWI once, in a deluxe room with boardwalk view). This will be only our second time staying on points (first time was in March and we used our developer points for a few of our nights at CR) so I do not yet have much experience with DVC booking.

So here are my questions:

Any ideas as to how difficult it is at 7-month to get a 2br/standard view for that time of year? Might preferred view be easier to get?

What exactly are the standard views like? Because I really enjoyed the boardwalk view when we stayed at BWI but of course I was thinking of going for the fewer points.

If I could get a 2br with a luna park pool view (the kids would like that) would that be standard or preferred? how specific can I be with view requests when I make my ressie?

Lastly, should I call or book online?

Preferred view -Pool/Grden will be the easiest to get. Standard views will be tough - there are probably already waitlists for some or all of the days you hope to reserve.

Very nice, IMHO. I think they are the best bargain on site. Some of those rooms have a view of the higher level fireworks from IllumiNations from the balcony. They overlook the hotel entrance and the driveway leading up to it. Lots of nice landscaping between the villas and the blacktop areas.

It would be a Preferred view - Pool/Garden. Just list your requests in the order of preference. If you want a Luna Park view, just ask the CM to put that on your ressie. Chances are good that you will get it.

Lastly, should I call or book online?

Definitely call! In fact, if I were making the reservation, I'd call day by day as soon as MS opens - 9 am Eastern.

You're welcome. I just know you will fall in love with the BWV. It's my home and I don't want to stay anywhere else when I'm at WDW - especailly in early December!
