Its the Legend Of Sleepy Hollow Hayride. They have several rides during Oct and maybe the 1st few days of Nov.
Basically it starts out in "town square" aka the area around The Pioneer Hall/HoopDee Doo. Theres a driver and a story teller dressed in vintage looking costumes, they evidently tell the tell then you go down the winding trail thats very dark where theres effects. During this the "headless horsemen" appears.
I think its around $7 for adults.
I didn't actually go on the ride but I am a major Ft. W camper been there since it opened when i was a kid. I know last time we were driving around in our golf cart on Halloween night and the headless horsemen was behind us riding back to the barn... you knows it fake but creepy! lol
Theres lot of activity in Ft. W during Halloween. MANY campers majorly decorate and some kids go trick or treating again many campers have 'treats'.
At the FREE camp fire they have costume contest, pumpkin carving contests and candy on certain nights. You do have to buy or supply a pumpkin.
If you call info for Ft. Wilderness ask them to connect you to the bike barn (open 9-5) and they can give you exact dates/prices/times.
