Question on ME and getting luggage...

I'm flying down this week so most likely the new restrictions will still be in place and my question is this, I'm arriving early around 10am and my daughter isnt arriving until the next day so I was going to sit by the pool ect, but my question is this if i cant bring my suntan lotion in my carry on can I check it in a small suitcase with my suit and pick up just that piece of luggage, my other piece of luggage will be bigger and I dont want to have to mess with it on the bus or at the hotel.

So has anyone done that picked up only one piece of their luggage and left the others for ME and how did you do that? Use the yellow tags on the luggage that you want ME to deliver, did you get your luggage first then go in the ME check-in line or check-in and then get your luggage?

I would not put a tag on the bag you want your suntan lotion in. Then just head to baggage claim and pick it up. The rest with the tags will go to your resort.

As long as you DON'T put the ME tag on your small piece of luggage, it will be there for you to pick up at baggage claim. Anything tagged for ME will be culled beforehand. Your plan to have your "essentials" at baggage claim sounds perfect for you!
