We are planning to fly down to Orlando on January 4th which I can book now. Planning to get the points using our JB credit card and using reward points to use towards return flights. Around when should I expect they will open up schedule? After I make our initial purchase how soon can I access the reward points?

Thanks!

There is a poster on flyertalk that keeps a list going of the JetBlue release dates. Here is a link to that thread so you can see when the dates have been released in the past. It is the second post in the thread. Guessing it looks like the dates may be released in June.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking when you say: After I make our initial purchase how soon can I access the reward points?

I have an American Express Jet Blue card and it usually takes two billing cycles for the points to post. You have to pay the bill for the current month to get the points to post for the next month. If you are asking about the points you earn from the flight itself - you won't get those until you fly. If you mean something completely different let me know and I'll try to help.

Thanks for the link, that's helpful.

I meant what you first described. I want to use my JetBlue CC to pay for our one way flights down. Then I was hoping to use the points accrued from that towards our return flights back (which looks like might be sometime in June I could buy those).
