question on dining plan

We leave Thursday. I purchased the dining plan. I am having doubts now because my daughter isn't a big eater. Is it too late to remove the dining plan? I already checked in online?

You could probably drop the DP, but it probably won't be the economical thing to do, now with a fee involved.

Just call reservations and see what they will say.

Not sure how many are travelling with you, but you can share your meals with others. If you share a meal together than you may be able to save a credit on the plan. You might be able to enjoy a 2 credit place if you share meals from your left over credits. You can always cancel one reservation and make another if there is a seating time for you.

I believe you can add the dining plan up to 10 days prior to check-in, so I would imagine that would also apply to removing it. You could still remove it I'm sure, but as PP said, there would be penalties involved.

I thought you couldn't make any changes. Maybe with penalties they will let you, though.

Even though your dd isn't a big eater, she still needs to eat, and you will still need to get meals for her.

You can adjust the dining plans up to 3 days (72 hours) prior to your check-in. After the 45 day mark, there can be a change fee (~$50 I believe), but it's typically waived for upgrades, though downgrades are usually charged it. Inside of about 10-14 days, this fee is typically charged for any changes and may even increase.

So, it's still possible to remove or downgrade the plans at this point (up until Monday), but do expect a change fee to be incurred. The refund of the money spent on the dining plan may also take some time to be processed.
