Question about taxes

Hi. I work two part time jobs (one is a seasonal ice cream place). I just got my tax things that they send out that say how much money you made this year. How much money do you need to make in minimum wage to be able to get money back from taxes?

I'm not being ludicrous. If you earned $1 and your employer took out $.10 for federal income taxes, you can file and get a refund of that $.10. Note that most employers won't hold taxes out until your paycheck reaches a certain minimum amount.

Go to the IRS website and click on Individuals in the upper left corner and then scroll down to the "Do You Need to File a Federal Income Tax Return?" link, click on it and go through the questions to find out if you HAVE to file an income tax return but even if you don't HAVE to file an income tax return, you might want to to get any withheld income tax back.

You'll also want to look into whether you can file FORM 1040EZ or not. If your job was your only source of income, you PROBABLY can. And don't forget about your state income tax as well.
