Today I have a PT person coming, Tom and I will go to lunch at The Blue Pig, simply because we just love to see their beautiful decorations. Well, I really enjoy their Lobster Roll, but today it’s about the decorations! We also have a gift card, so a free lunch!

We have chiropractor and a SVdP meeting tonight.

It’s cold but sunny.

Good morning. It is 33 here with temps heading to 44. It is going to rain alot of the day. I hope you go to Home Sense and look for some gifts. I figure it is safe to go to nongrocery stores today. And on Friday I will go to the grocery store as people will be gift shopping. I also have to go to the registry to take the lien holder off my title. I guess they do not automatically send out the title when a car is paid off like they used to in Mass. So I will go to my favorite registry near where I used to live and then do a couple errands in the area. I am hoping this is the last chore I have to do regarding registry issues. Today I am going to make cake pops. I did get a cake pop maker on Amazon so I shall see how it goes. Tomorrow will be pie baking. Hopefully I can fit in work between pies.

@Snowysmom, friends sent me cake pops as a get well gift, I never had them before, and enjoyed them. Have fun making your batch, I hope they turn out great!

It’s above 50° here, so fish can have a little snack. The pond has been shut down for the winter. We have air bubbles still going, and the round thing is a de-icer, something that will prevent the whole surface from freezing If and when we get significant below freezing temperatures.



Today’s a friend’s birthday, and Tom will be grilling for us all tonight. Glad it mild today, we do expect colder temperatures later this week!

Good morning. We alternate between sun and clouds and it's windy, but the temp is already 54 going to 55.
I didn't sleep well last night, went to bed at 2, but wasn't feeling great. it was 6:30 before I finally fell asleep and woke up at 8.

I already took some paperwork to the medical center for prescription assistance and brought the trash down to the street.
I'm going to lay down and catch a couple more hours if I can.

Watched part of a Hallmark movie this morning and did some Christmas cards, then went out to breakfast with DS and DH. - The food was great, but we probably should have put it off until tomorrow. (They were both stressed over tight schedules, and I think tomorrow would have been easier.) Planning to go see Wicked later this afternoon.

Good morning. Chilly here at 32 with temps heading into the upper 40s. I got up early today since I couldn't sleep and made the apple pie. It is baking in the oven now. Later today I will be making the chocolate cream pie. The cake pops were a disaster. I used the wrong kind of cake mix as it was too spongy and light. There are recipes in the booklet that came with the maker and I will use those next time I try. It will not be soon. My kitchen was a disaster too! I may go to a local bakery today to see if they have cake pops. It is not the kind of bakery that sells pies for the holidays so I am hoping it is not busy. If it is, I may make the grandkids chocolate chip cookies. I know how to make those.

Yesterday I made the cranberry sauce, today I will make the stuffing, so that it’s ready for the crock pot tomorrow. I really only enjoy pie crusts the day it’s made, so, first thing on Thanksgiving, I make apple pie!

We will have a Polish food brunch when the Recruits get here, around 10. DH is allowed to stop at Wawa to let them pick out favorite treats, snacks they would like to have. This year we were told they could stop at a store for things like that. In the past, Tom would get lists from them, and he would go get them. For security reasons, the Recruits must stay with us, and not be in public places like football games, but this year, stores are allowed.

Happy Wednesday! I do have my Medicare wellness check today.

I made a chocolate bundt cake Friday.

I was going to make a chocolate bundt cake this evening for the holiday, but the bakery gave me a chocolate pie this morning! So I'll shelve making the cake for another time.

I'm heading to the market for a few things so I don't hit too many crowds. I'll be staying away from stores until next week.

I was at the grocery store at 7 this morning getting my fresh veggies and last minute items I forgot. Gotta have the husband stop for some beer later and that is it.

My nephew is currently in the Coast Guard - thanks for giving these fellas a nice home for spending the holiday at!

Well, here I am at the office and it feels weird! I have taken off the day before Thanksgiving for years & years. Not sure why I didn't - I think it was because I wasn't sure which one of us was going to be at the main office (we have three offices and my brothers and I are spread between them but on any given day one or all of us is at any one of them) so I figured I'd better come in since I hadn't closed the office. Not saying I won't cut folks loose early we'll see how the day goes.

Looks like we are up to 14 people and 4 dogs for Thanksgiving. The 4 dogs will cause a bit of pandemonium at times but I think we have a plan. We have two dogs, our grand dog is coming over and my niece is dog sitting a teeny tiny pocketbook pup that I can't wait to see.

Welp, I'm going to try to accomplish something here. Have a wonderful & safe holiday everyone.

Good morning. Sunny and 55 today, then temps go down.

I feel a lot better this morning. I went to bed at 11:30 last night and didn't wake up until 9 this morning. I think I needed the sleep.
I'm going to dust and vacuum this morning, and then make my stuffing (small batch) for tomorrow. I like it better the next day. My turkey breast is thawed, and I'm trying it in the crockpot with a recipe I found on FB. I think tonight I will just make a salad and have some shrimp and cocktail sauce with it. I'll make my pie tonight so it can chill well for tomorrow.

I think I told you in the past about the couple next door with the 2 little boys. How she let the 8 year old go and live in NY with his bio dad, and go to school there. I couldn't do that, but to each their own.
Anyhow, I was on the deck at supper time feeding the cats and I hear "Miss Lynn, Miss Lynn", I thought it was Cash, the youngest one. So I yell over "Hi Cash". Then I hear, "It's me Harlem, I'm home." Both boys came running over and Harlem gave me the biggest hug. His looks have changed so much since he left in January. He was tallish and skinny, now he's gained weight and his face is chunky. My guess is mom is going to slim him down fast, lol. He liked NY, but hated school there. He's registered for school here and will only be going to see his dad in the summers from now on. They are such sweet boys and it really made my day. I watched them playing in the yard, and it was easy to see how much Cash missed his brother.

Busy days! Yesterday I made the dressing and gravy. I cleaned the bathroom, set up the tables, went last minute shopping and swept the floors for the umpteenth time
Today I made two loaves of banana bread, a pumpkin pie and a jello fluff. Then I swept the floor again, the older I get the messier I am when cooking.
Dd and family should be here in about an hour, let the chaos ensue. With three little girls Lettie 6, Margot 4 and Eloise 2 there always seems to be someone crying or screaming. Don’t get me wrong, I love it!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Working nightshift so I thought I'd pop on real quick this morning.

Mitchell and I will be having our Mexican Thanksgiving this year . He decided not to go to his girlfriend's family for dinner so him and I are headed to our local Mexican restaurant. We did this once before when he was younger and we always laugh about how we ended up there.

I made a cherry pie yesterday morning . My plan was to take it to work last night but things were moved around and I already offered it to Mitchell before I found out that I actually had to come in.

Evan and Bailey had another miscarriage over the weekend . I took her to the hospital yesterday afternoon for a D&C. Evan has the flu so he hasn't moved off the couch for a couple of days.

Stopping at Meijer when I get off work this morning. They have their buy one pair get one for .01 shoe sale. I usually get new slippers for whoever needs them. Nobody needs them this year except for me so I'll look around and see what I can find probably for Mia. Her gymshoes are getting a little tight.
