Good morning. Cold and windy again, sun just coming out. Temp is 25 and we'll hit a whopping 31 today. Few snow flurries flying around and it must have snowed a bit overnight because there's a few patches of snow on the driveway.

Yesterday I dusted and vacuumed, washed the kitchen and bathroom floors and cleaned the bathrooms. Then I got the tree out of the storage bag and set it up. Today I'll decorate it. I decided to use all of my Wizard of Oz Hallmark ornaments along with some iridescent balls and a couple of traditional ornaments that I've used every year since I was 18.
The electrician was supposed to go back to Summer's yesterday but I don't know if he did. He found an ungrounded wire in one of the lines and had to rewire a whole section. Apparently there's another ungrounded wire somewhere, but it's underground and goes to outside, so he's going to have to dig to find it. She has electric going to the house, but none going outside for now.

Have a nice day everyone.

Sounds pretty, and really fun with all the Wicked movie hype right now!

I hope everyone had a nice holiday. Was thinking of you all even if I never got the chance to stop by here. I was so exhausted I fell asleep on the sofa when we got home from the relatives’. DH and DD did, too, we were all beat.

Been super busy with work and our apt project, but it’s coming along. As of today, cabinets are all in, now we just need to get the countertops and handles on them. Color is beautiful (navy blue). Look really nice with the paint color DD chose (like a taupe). Floor guy is coming Tuesday for estimate, hopefully that goes smoothly and we can get going on those soon. Once all that’s done we’ll give it a good cleaning (again, mainly dust around now) and she can start moving her things in. :goodvibes Been a long time coming. And we agree that cleaning it out was the hardest part, although DH might take exception and say it was the cabinets. He’s just sore from all of it, they’re heavy and he’s twisting all around and lifting, drilling them in, laying on the floor, etc (as well as working an extra day per week to help with holiday fulfillment at work). Last night he, DS and I put the microwave in place and I was sore just from that! DD went away with her boyfriend for the weekend which I was glad about, but she’s been there for all of it otherwise, even put together some of the cabinets herself while DH was at work once she learned how. She’s super motivated! We decided to replace the entryway door and there’s a little we want to do in the bathroom, but we can do those as we go along, no rush. Oh, and we’re having someone come out for window treatments, I think she wants to go with nice shades that match the wall color, for simplicity. I will post some pics when done.

Hope everyone is well. Footballmouse, so sorry to hear about the miscarriage. 😢 I hope they are doing ok.

Flyingdumbo, your legs are going to feel sore until you get used to using them again. You know you can treat that with ibuprofen and maybe some muscle rubs, or your epsom salts, etc. Don’t let it stop you. Keep it going! Pain will lessen over time as you use your legs and feet more.

Feeling a little overwhelmed with the holidays but just going to keep it as simple as I can. I am working all of Christmas (Eve and Day) so not much of a holiday for me. Will miss DS bringing his girlfriend and her kids to the family gathering for the first time. 😖 (He worked a double on Thanksgiving.) Getting some shopping done online (and I also got everyone Disney gift cards. Shopping for kids again has been kinda fun.) Trying to find a time where everyone is off and around to celebrate with our immediate family is proving tough, too, but I’m sure we’ll find a day. (Not going past Christmas though, looking forward to peace and renewal on Dec 26 and beyond.)

This will be another busy week for me. I hope it’s a good one for all of you. 🐥

Good Morning everyone and may each of you walk closer to and with Jesus this holy Advent season.

Bobbi, thank you for sharing your various creches!

Thanks dear Pea.

Lynn please get some extra rest today.

PollyannaMom, how are the twins doing? Thinking about them with Christmas season starting. Thank you always for all the love you give them.

Sunday hugs to all.

Pea Good to hear from you. Sorry the holidays will be busy for you but I hope you find time to connect with family and celebrate.

Bobbiwoz What a lovely Creche.

Good morning. It is 26 here with temps only going into the 30s. It is kind of a funky weekend for me. I am missing Chris alot with the holidays and my birthday coming up. We always had such nice traditions and I truly miss going to pick out a tree with him. We would decorate the tree and he always wanted to put up all the ornaments to the point of barely seeing there was a tree. He decorated the mantel with nutcrackers, characters from Rudolph. I miss buying him just the right gift and making up a stocking for him. I also miss the stocking he would make for me with way too much candy. He would buy me so many gifts and so many books. We would watch Christmas Vacation and he liked Christmas Story. So many memories. I hope to think of good memories when I am at Disney next week. I did some lightning lane purchases today so I could easily ride the rides that Chris liked. I hope to go to Disney Springs and see the Christmas trees. I am staying with Jeff and family the night before I leave and Jeff is taking me to the airport very early in the morning. I just hope my flights get off on time both ways!

Now time to do some work, some housework, wrapping gifts, and walking at the lake. It is chilly but with a hat, gloves, and warm coat it is not bad.

Have a good Sunday.m

Good morning. Cloudy and 30, going to 36, but thankfully the winds are gone.

I decorated most of the tree yesterday, it's done except for the garland and I'm going to do that in a few minutes. I'll turn the lights on tonight..5 minutes after I put the last ornament on, the youngest cat had 2 of them off of it and I had to put them back on and twist the hangar around the branch so he can't pull them off. He's such a character. I haven't seen one of the outdoor cats since Friday. He's been living on the porch except to go to the bathroom, he sleeps in one of the boxes out there, but he's gone all of a sudden. I even took the side panel off the bottom of the porch and looked in both boxes under there to see if maybe he went in there and died, but they are both empty. I have no idea why he would disappear all of a sudden. He appeared out of nowhere a year ago and has been here since, never misses a meal. I hope he shows up soon.

I had Thanksgiving leftovers last night, but I'm ordering Chinese tonight. I've had enough turkey. I'm going to see Wicked again this afternoon and I'll pick it up on the way home.

@Pea-n-Me The apartment sounds like it's coming along nicely, I love the color of the cabinets. Can't wait to see the pics when it's finished.

Have a good day all

Hi Everybody!

At Disney right now but getting ready to leave Swan Reserve to go check in at Boardwalk. It's fairly chilly but at 61 degrees I'm thankful not to be enjoying somebody upthread's weather who posted 34 degrees!

I'll be dining at Il Mulino tonight with a board friend. We met in person at Hilton Head. It's nice for both of us to have company and she is in my age group.

Grands had a great time at Hilton Head. They swam every day, while I bundled up to keep warm. I signed them up for Mickey wreaths and my DD and I had to make them as it was a little difficult for their age. No one said that when I booked it, but DD loves crafts so all is good. (Haven't got any crafty in me.)

Off to enjoy my time here!

Loved this picture.

Cats do that. Disappear and sometimes come back after a few days. Someone else may have put out some turkey or other food that tempted him. I get attached to them all.

Judique Have fun at Disney. 61 degrees is much better than the 23 I have this morning!

Lynn I hope the kitty comes back. Like Judique said, he probably got tempted by something. Enjoy your Christmas decorations.

Good morning. It is 23 degrees here now with temps again only going into the 30s. I am keeping an eye on the weather for next week both in Boston and Orlando. It looks like temps in FL should be around 70 during the day and 50s at night. So far the Boston weather looks cold but nothing significant yet as far as bad weather goes. Yesterday I went to see Jeff and family. We played games. Jeff and I also planned our Legoland trip for July. There was a black Friday sale on passes for Legoland and the cost was less than 2 days admission and included free parking which is $35 a day! So we got the passes and booked a suite hotel nearby. He got a 2 bedroom suite, I got a studio suite, and I think Kenny got a one bedroom suite. My trips are all planned for 2025 and not a Disney trip in sight for 2025. I have a cruise, Legoland, and Sedona. I keep seeing if I could fit in a trip to WDW but not likely.

Off to work. Busy week! Have a good day.

Happy Monday!pluto:

It's cold!!!! Had to get my long winter coat out this morning.🥶

Got the tree decorated yesterday 🎄. Saturday I got the lights up outside. Needed my gloves for that, waited too long to put them up. Furnace is working again, so I finally have heat.🙂

I have my library craft night tonight. I don't really want to go but I probably should. Maybe I'll see how I feel when I get home from work. I have to clean the litter boxes and make dinner. I really need to stop getting take out so I'm going to make an effort to cook this week. After all this, I don't think I'm going to feel like going back out to make an ornament. My friend who I go with is the complete opposite. She doesn't work, so she has all day to get things done around her house and have dinner ready by 5:00.

That's about it for me this morning, have a great day!

Good frosty morning. 27 now going to a high of 33. barely above freezing. I have to heat the cats water up in the morning before I put it out for them. Still no sign of Smokey, the black cat. I guess he's gone. No one else around here will take in, or feed an outdoor cat. Maybe he went back to wherever he came from in the first place, I may never know

I finished decorating the tree yesterday, and no ornaments are on the floor this morning, so maybe I have them attached good enough. Watched a Hallmark christmas movie and did some writing after I got back from Wicked. Now that I know all the hidden things in it, I was watching carefully for them.

No idea what I'm going to get into today. Summer has to drive her husband back to meet his ride, so she's got another 6 hours worth of driving there and back. They need for the crew to get settled in one place so he can fly back and forth

Have a good day, stay warm if you're in the cold zones

Good chilly morning. It is 22 now with temps going into the mid 30s. We are expecting snow tomorrow night and Thursday. My area shows 3-4 inches of snow. Closer to Boston looks like more rain. I am supposed to go into the office that day but my boss told me to stay home if it is snowing or the least bit slippery. She will do the deposits. She has been very kind as far as this goes. We have worked together for over 17 years and she had my job before she got promoted. I am fortunate to work with a good team of people. I walked at the lake yesterday. I want to walk outside as long as I can. It was chilly but I dressed for it. There were so many ducks in the lake all swimming and quacking. Today I may go to the park in Kenny's town to walk.

Off to another busy day at work. Have a good day.

Happy Tuesday!

It's cold with no heat!!!! The guy is coming back tomorrow to try to fix it again. I threw a blanket over the dogs last night, I felt bad for them.

Went to my craft night at the library last night. We made cinnamon stick ornaments, it looks like a sled and smells really good.

Working at Kohls tonight so nothing exciting will be going on.

Have a great day!
