Aw Happy Birthday dear Toto! God Bless you and your buddy Grady, too. Thank you dear Pea. I could not agree more and pray to pass that on to others to take care! Losing mobility over a few years of sudden limited movement after always being very active is sure what happened to me.

This early morning I was just extra stiff which wasn't fun. I did my best to move and walk more. I will continue to do so. By the Grace of God go I. He is forever with me and of course long has this. I truly pray to keep a thankful and appreciative outlook in all. I sure am. Of course as a human it is hard at times but that is ok because I know the challenge is a blessing. I will get there.

I definitely thank God for all of dear you.

Good Morning. Lynn Glad you enjoyed the movie.. It is a rainy dreary day to day with temps in the 40s. So far I have changed the bed, washed the sheets, cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen sink. I have to go do some errands. I had dinner with Kenny and GF last night. Other than that not much going on.

On my way for a hair trim in an hour. Woke up at 3am and made an appointment online.

My hair isn't too longish as the last time they got a little scissor happy and I could have probably skimmed by, but it always feels better when it's just trimmed.

Then back to packing my stuff for Hilton Head and then Boardwalk and the new cabins at fort wilderness. Booked two nights to check them out. They look nice! I've stayed in the old ones but it's been a while. I was going to rent a cart but didn't get around to it yet. I may try for my inbetween day when I get there.

Good morning. They say rain, but the sun is out so who knows. I don't think even the weathermen know half the time. Temps going to be near 50.

I already did all the chores that needed to be done, I think I'm going to go down in the cellar and see what I feel like putting out for Christmas decorations. It won't be much, I'm even debating whether I want to bother with the tree. I'm sure I'll talk myself into it, but since next Sunday is Dec 1'st I have to decide pretty soon.

Still rainy here today. I guess the weather just comes in streaks lately.

I did some stuff on the computer this morning, and now I'm a cat bed so I've been watching a re-run of a Christmas movie and playing games on my phone. (I do Nerdle, Wordle, Connections, and Ampersandi.)

DH is out running errands and DS is upstairs - playing video games, I think. I took out steaks to thaw for dinner, but not sure what I'll do with the afternoon.

Good evening everyone, a few days ago we had our first measurable snowfall of the year, about 3 inches. It all melted by afternoon. Too early for that nonsense.
Today I cleaned and cleaned. Deep cleaning so hopefully there will just be the basics before Christmas. I am hosting Thanksgiving, and will have overnight guests so I needed to clean all the unused rooms.
I want to go see Wicked and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever but I want to wait a bit so it is not crowded, I hate crowded theaters.
It is getting close to the anniversary of Kris’s passing. I miss him more each day. I hope the holiday preparations can keep me busy and distracted. Our DD is struggling this year after the loss of her baby, prayers are appreciated.

I was just looking at the Humane Society’s site, I can’t make up my mind on getting another dog. I miss having a dog but am kind of liking not having the work.

Extra prayers with love all-around dear Dazed. Have you considered an older dog as opposed to a puppy? Dad, and I, God willing should we ever be able to move one day to a bigger apartment with private outdoor space would most likely adopt an older dog because neither of us has the energy a baby puppy would need. An older doggy friend also wouldn't need as much outside time as a young pup but the two of you would still be a loving support to one another. Perhaps you could visit a shelter and see what dogs are available and possibly even volunteer. Just a suggestion.

Dazedx3 Thinking of you and your familty. I find keeping busy helps. I do understand missing Kris more as I miss my Chris more too. I do find I am talking about him more with the kids and grandkids. The grandkids are at the point of talking about Grandpa and Papa and telling me how he was their favorite Papa. The holidays are hard and I don't decorate alot, just my mantel and a wreath. I understand too about not really wanting to get another dog. But flyingdumbo has a good point that if you find you want one an older adult dog would be a good choice. Wishing you a nice Thanksgiving with family and peace.

Good morning. It will be in the 40s here today. I saw Jeff and family yesterday. I played Sorry with the kids. The loved sending Nana back to start so I had to get out of the starting area over and over again. I will see everyone at Thanksgiving. Today will be shopping and walking as well as some housework and getting some trip stuff ready to go.

I expect crowds when we go to Wicked this week, but I saw a matinee showing of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever about a week ago, and there were only about eight people.

Good morning. We alternate between clouds and sun, it's windy and the temp will be 51. Then temps will start going up again.

I can't seem to wake up this morning, I'm still yawning. Not planning on doing much of anything but a run to Walmart. I ordered Summer and family a new tv for Christmas online late last night because theirs died Friday night. I'm going to pick it up and drop it off at their house. She's got an electrician coming this morning to see if he can find out what keeps blowing the same circuit breaker over and over. She's got extension cords running all over the place right now and that's not safe. It's also a fire hazard. She has to drive to the border of WV/KY on Tuesday to bring her husband home for Thanksgiving.

Good morning. It is 32 here now with temps heading to near 50. It is going to get colder this week, in the low 40s. Yesterday I did walk at the lake and it was cold and windy. I was glad to have my hat and gloves. I hope to go back today as it is supposed to rain tomorrow. I also want to try to make cake pops tomorrow for the kids for Thanksgiving. I ordered a cake pop maker on Amazon. They love cake pops. Yesterday I did alot around the condo, tried on some clothes and need to hem one pair of jeans, got my suitcase and carry on out for the trip. Other than that it was quiet. I made a chicken fajita sheet pan meal for dinner which was good. I have leftovers for tonight. I have been finding alot of good recipes on Eating well. Every day I get an email with new recipes. I am trying to cook more meals from scratch and it has been helping. Today I am going to make some healthy blueberry muffins.

Dad and I agreed last night that by the grace of God, over the last few days I'm walking better. I may be slow at times but stronger and sturdier. I remember that our podiatrist did tell me to expect some soreness as I moved more. Vivian agreed. Sometimes my legs do feel a little sorer but I know that is a healing thing. Every step no matter how small is indeed one closer to a full recovery. I am so blessed indeed. Have a great day everyone. I will try to check back in later.

Good Monday Morning!

Temps are pretty nice the past couple of days. Might get some rain later today . I was planning to turning the heat on last week but it didn't come on. I changed the filter, no luck, Jacob came over and messed around with the thermostat and decided that it was broke . Ordered a new one and it should come today. Hopefully that was the problem. Won't need it turned on this week, not going to get too cold. I probably wouldn't have tried turning it on last week but Carly would sit on the couch shivering.

Worked nightshift this past weekend. Saturday night we all sat around remembering past coworkers that we've worked with and funny stories on things that happened over the years . We have one more night with our charge nurse before she moves on to her new job. People aren't waiting until we get an official closing date, if they find a new job then they're leaving. I'm hoping we can make it to the first of the year.

Mitchell finally gave me his Xmas list, just one bigger item, so once that is ordered, I will be done Xmas shopping. Can't believe I'm done before Thanksgiving, usually I wouldn't start until Black Friday.

I made a chocolate bundt cake Friday. I was planning to make it for our family Xmas party in a couple of weeks so I wanted to test out this new recipe. Coworkers gave it good reviews. I left off the crushed pecans in the icing, I think I'll add it the next time I make it. @lynxstch - thanks for the recipe, I think I'm going to make that also.

Good sunny Monday. 32 now but going to be upper 50's later. Will start dropping on Thursday and our weekend temps will be in the low 30's.

I got the tv yesterday and dropped it off at Summer's house. They were more than surprised. The electrician was there when I got there. He says it's the worst wiring job he's ever seen and has no idea why anyone would have wired a big house like that. He was there for 2 hours, and will be back tomorrow with a helper to work on it some more. Lily's having trouble with her car, she's had it at the garage 3x and it still hasn't fixed the problem. Last time they charged her $300 to replace the thermostat and water pump. The car is still overheating and the engine light is still on. So she takes Summer's Lincoln to work. Comes home and says the car is smoking. Summer just had the oil changed a couple of weeks ago. She checked the fluids. The transmission fluid was very low, the oil was almost at the E line and something else I can't remember was low. Nothing is leaking, there are no spots in the driveway, so back to the garage it goes. Then she went to start the truck and the battery was dead. I told her to get a new one a month ago when she started having trouble with it. Then her husband calls and says she has to go and pick him up today instead of tomorrow. It's just one thing after the other.

I did next to nothing yesterday, I was tired all day. I fell asleep twice watching tv and yawned constantly. I was in bed by 1 am and didn't change position once all night until I woke at 7 this morning.

I'm heading to the market for a few things so I don't hit too many crowds. I'll be staying away from stores until next week. I don't need anything, won't be doing any Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopping either. The only time I'm venturing out is tomorrow morning to see Wicked again. Kids will be out of school starting Wednesday and I don't want to be sitting with a theater full of kids, lol
