Just dropped in to say Happy Thanksgiving! I may not be here now but really appreciate all the support during the pandemic.

Hope you are all well and enjoy time with family. Jack and I are going out for dinner today and will have 14 here tomorrow for our traditional Lamesgiving.

Monday the two of us leave with our son, DIL, and 2 year 9 month old Martin for his first trip to WDW. I am excited to see the Candlelight Processional.

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all

Another busy week here. The deck and backyard are coming along. The new storm door is on and Jim and I both swear it has made a difference on the inside temp. This door actually stays shut and was installed correctly.

My grandson Ben has pneumonia and we are all getting a little worried. He has been running 102-103 temps for a week now even after being on antibiotics. The doctors switched to a stronger one yesterday but if the fevers don't break today they want him in the ER tomorrow. Thankfully my daughter being a nurse means he has great home care. Tuesday my SIL had him for the day. When my daughter asked how is fever was going, my SIL being a man said he feels hot. What are the NUMBERS???. He never used a thermometer just gave him Tylenol when he felt hot.

I'm heading to my mom's today for dinner. I offered to make sweet potatoes. I made them last year and everyone liked them but I forget what I did. I think Michael gave me the recipe so I will be calling him once I cook them. My dinner will be on Sunday and I have Jay and family plus Jim's best friend coming that day. I don't even really like turkey but of course I have to make the whole dinner. Jim stays home on Thanksgiving to watch football. I will bring him some home tonight but my Sunday Thanksgiving has been our routine since the kids were little.

The other Holiday routine I am not as fond of anymore - Black Friday Shopping. It is tradition with my daughter so of course we have to go out shopping. I only need a couple of small things so hopefully I will be done after this.

Good morning. Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. The weather was cold and rainy here but inside it was nice and warm. It was good to be with the kids and grandkids. Charlotte likes to be with Nana and talking with me. She is my mini me. Sam grabs my hand and pulls me over to toys to play with him. The older 4 play video games. It is nice to be around them. I love to see Jeff and Kenny getting along well as it makes me think of the family together. The food was good. I even found the smoked turkey to be OK. Desserts were great and I ate too much but it is only once a year.

I would like to ask for prayers for DIL's father. He has been fighting an aggressive cancer for a few months now. He has been having complications from chemo and ended up in the hospital yesterday. Prayers would be much appreciated. I know far too many people with cancer now and people who have passed from cancer. It is a terrible thing.

I am off to the registry this morning. Hope everyone else is shopping so it is not crowded. No Black Friday shopping for me. I only went out once to get Kenny a phone when he was in college. Then I will hit the supermarket.

Cancer is indeed a most terrible thing dear Snowysmom. It's permanent obliteration is one of my deepest prayers. Prayers of course for your DIL's father.

Carol, it is always lovely to see you. Have a wonderful time at WDW. I would love to view the Candlelight Processional with you. God re willing one day we can have our Quacker meet. I definitely have not forgotten about that.

Good morning everyone. I would appreciate extra prayers for both dad and I. As I move more and in a balanced way, my legs are real stiff and sore from increased use. I know this is a very positive just not fun. Thanks, friends.

Dad will be doing a small laundry load at the laundromat followed by Ralphs. Any other shopping will be done online.

Happy Black Friday!

I remember standing in lines at 5 am for the stores to open. Or splitting up between various stores. When the kids were older and Evan was driving, I sent them to Walmart on Black Friday for a laptop (I was at Target for a TV). It was hectic but kinda fun. Now my shopping is done, on0line shopping makes it very easy. I work at Kohls today from 6 pm-midnight. Wish me luck!

Mitchell and I ended up at Cracker Barrel last night for dinner. I stopped at Evan's to see how they were doing. They had Thanksgiving lunch with Bailey's parents and they decided they were all going to Disney in February. I'm jealous that I can't go and see Mia with the characters, especially Minnie, she's all about Minnie Mouse.

Good chilly morning. It's sunny, but windy, and there are snow flurries flying around. Temp is 36 and only going to 37.
My Thanksgiving was very quiet. Even though I'm not a fan of white meat turkey, the turkey breast crockpot recipe from FB turned out very well. I ate too much, but like Snowysmom says, it's only once a year. I watched 3 Christmas movies on Netflix, put up some of the Christmas decorations and stayed in my pjs all day. I may do the same today. The only Black Friday shopping I'm going to do is Bath and Body Works online. B3g3 and an extra $10 off of 40. I need some more Wallflower refills.

@footballmouse I'm sure they will take lots of video's and pics of Mia at Disney World, even though it would be better if you could be there to see it in person.

I need to put that second cat house together, so I can put the tree up tomorrow, so I need to get myself moving

Good morning. 27 degrees here in MA with temps only heading to the upper 30s. Dress warmly! I have a hairdresser appt today. My trip to the registry yesterday was interesting. I did not need to go at all. But, I was told by my lien holder, the CS dept at the registry when I talked with the title dept there, and my ins company that I needed to go to take the lien holder off the title. Nope! Since I had the actual title and the lien holder signed off on the lien on the actual title that is all I need. That and the letter from the lien holder stating that I was paid off is what I need to keep for when I want to sell the car. I talked with a supervisor who was so much more in the know than anyone. She was really wondering why I was there! I thanked them for the info and while I could be upset I drove 40 minutes for nothing, I am happy to have correct info and I feel better knowing that. Again, I met very helpful kind people at this particular registry which is near where I used to live. I got some clothes ready for my trip and packed a bit. I kept busy most of the day as I needed to be distracted.

Sure. I didn't write down the recipe as I followed the video and it was pretty straightforward. The only thing that wasn't clear was the amount of spices she used. I used a few shakes of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of sage, and a few pinches of Bells seasoning.
