Have a great day!
Hey there, it has been a long while but jumped on this thread and your post caught my eye. The whole family went out to a local pumpkin patch last weekend. We saw one pumpkin tip the scales at over 2,000 lbs. I wish I had snapped a pick

Hug Spaceman and good to see a post from you, my friend. A Pumpkin patch sounds fun. Years ago, I have a very vague memory of taking preschoolers (I was a director and teacher) to a pumpkin patch once. You and your family have pictures of your outing in your heart and can still take some at home.

Lynn, I love the angel image, thank you my friend for sharing.

Wannabee, welcome back. Indeed, we pray Tina is well.

Dear Bobbi, i am so grateful you and Tom are enjoying such a good vacation.

Dad and I went ahead and got this Humidifier from Amazon last night. It came early this morning. We have not yet tried it because it needs purified water which God willing, we will get delivered tomorrow afternoon. We chose this particular humidifier (after finding a place to plug it in) because of its size and portability. Dear PollyannaMom and dear Bobbi, we may try non plug in options at another time near our couch. I thank all of you so much for your kind suggestions. We wanted to get on quickly because my nose bled a little again yesterday but thankfully not as badly as on Wednesday. A warm washcloth really makes such a difference and is so much better than my further irritating my nose and prolonging the bleeding with Kleenex! Dad is very dry too and has said depending how we like this humidifier, we may order a second humidifier that he can put by his bed. I will let you know how we like it later tomorrow or Tuesday. Have a good night, dear friends with love always.

Just caught up. Been a busy week!

Lynn, glad you’re feeling better! What’s your best guess at what made you sick? We went out to a favorite Chinese restaurant recently and we all thought it tasted a bit off. 🤢 Glad you’re past it. And glad Luke checked in.

Mona are you having trouble getting in and out of the tub again? The wipes can leave a residue. I hope the humidifier works for you.

Snowysmom glad your root canal is over and seems to have gone well.

Easyas, so sorry to hear about your doggie. Is this your older Great Dane?

Bobbi, enjoyed seeing your pictures and hearing about your travels.

Judique sounds like your place is coming along nicely.

Footballmouse, so nice for you to be such a big part of Mia’s life! She’ll no doubt cherish all you do together some day! That stinks about the medical group leaving. We’ve had it happen, too. 🫤

Hope all friends here are doing well!

The kids’ birthday was this weekend, it was a beautiful day. DS came over for breakfast (and to do laundry!) but then had to go to work. We brought him a brownie sundae at work that evening but they’d already gotten him a cake which was nice. We’re having their actual party tonight (Monday) as that’s when everyone was off and could be here. Making a beef stew and a Mac and Cheese, with a charcuterie board. The kids love fruit, so putting a lot of that on there. And we got a nice chocolate cake with white frosting to have with Brigham’s Vanilla Ice Cream. 🥰

Last week DD and I attended a class, then she took me out for Korean BBQ. I’d never had that but it’s the type of place where they serve thinly sliced meat and you cook it yourself on a fire right at your table! It was delicious and we had fun.

We’re in the process of hiring a cleaner and a painter for the apt. And will order the cabinets this week.

Did a lot of work outside including mulching the leaves and cutting down the hosta. We have a lot of basil still, I think I’ll dry it, too. (Thanks, Lynn!!) My out back geranium is also blooming now (while it was pretty dead for most of August and September!). I had trouble even with some Mums I bought, had to buy another. And another pumpkin, they all got eaten!

We happened to catch a beautiful local sunrise one morning last week when we had to run to the store super early. We watched it for a few, it felt very serene and peaceful. (Reminded me of the ones at Vero Beach last winter.)

I hope everyone has a very nice week! 🐥

Beautiful picture dear Pea and always great to see you post. I am PMing you. Happy Birthdays. I'm glad the celebrations got to be extended, how fun. Thank you always for your kind words and prayers. I will definitely post how the humidifier works once we get the distilled water and try it out. We do like the small size.

Dad is very happy the Dodgers will be in the World Series⚾That will be exciting. I enjoyed online worship earlier, too.

Sweet dreams everyone with love always.

Lynn I love the Angel picture. So comforting!

Pea Nice to hear from you. Happy Birthday to your DD and DS. Beautiful sunrise picture.

Flyingdumbo127 I hope the humidifier helps.

Good morning. Warmer this morning at 50 with temps heading into the 70s. I have to go into the office later this morning for a lunch for a new employee. I also have to go in Thursday and I am not happy about that. But hopefully next week works out to working from the condo all week. The soccer games were good yesterday as well as breakfast with Kenny and the kids.

Have a good day.

We went to the Harry Potter Exhibition in Boston yesterday! It was neat seeing the props and costumes, and there were some fun interactive elements as well.

(My phone doesn't want to load pics right now, but I will try to come back later and do it from the computer.)

Thank you both dear Snowysmom and dear PollyannaMom. I will absolutely share how we like the humidifer. As an FYI Target and Walmart have the same one. Dad and I normally would have bought it that way because both sites offer Square Trade's protection plan for jusr $3 for I believe 2 years. We got it from Amazon because it literally came overnight as opposed to a few days. Depending how we like it, we may purchase a second humidifer from either Target or Walmart. I just wanted all of lovely you to know about the protection plan option. Dad and I have always been very pleased with Square Trade's service.

Wishing you dear Judique and all of my Quacker family a joyful Monday with love.

Good Monday Morning.

Not feeling too good today, working from home. I started with a runny nose and a horrible headache Saturday night. Yesterday, I didn't move off the couch, felt terrible. Had a rough night last night and I'm headed to the doctor in a little bit.

Lynxstch - glad your step-son stopped over for a visit. That picture was wild with the angel image.

Dumbo - glad the Dodgers made it to the World Series, I did not want an all New York series.

That's about it. I'm guessing I also have a fever b/c I'm sweating like crazy. Hopefully work isn't busy for me today. Have a great day!

Good morning. Going to be 78 today, nice Fall day. I may do yard work today.

@footballmouse I hope you feel better, take care of yourself.

@Pea-n-Me At first I thought it was the Chinese, but now people are telling me there's some kind of bug going around with almost the same symptoms I had. I'm still not going near that particular Chinese place again in either case. As you said about yours, something just tasted 'off' to me.
I didn't do much yesterday except for catch up on tv shows. The tivo is empty again and ready for another week. I've already weeded out a few shows that I'm not going to watch anymore. One episode was enough for me to know it's not something I'm going to enjoy.
I ordered an outdoor cat shelter (house), to assemble and put on the deck. I can't get the outside cats to use the cat door in the new shed and go in. I've tried putting food outside it, and then tried putting it inside, but they won't go in. I've put a couple of them through it, but they come back out and won't go back in. I hope this will give this them shelter if they don't want to go in the boxes under the front porch. It should be here tomorrow or Wed. Prices are crazy, and you really have to look around before buying. The one I wanted was twice the price on the actual company's website and on Amazon than I got it for on Chewy. Amazon started out cheaper, but they wanted $80 to ship it, no thank you.

Off to start my day. Have a good one

Footballmouse I hope you feel better soon.

Good morning. It was in the 80s here yesterday. Too warm for me. Today it is supposed to be around 80. Then at the end of the week the temps are back in the 50s during the day with Thurs and Fri in the low 60s. I was in the office yesterday for the lunch for the new employee. I did not do the 5 am ride but waited until 9:30. Thursday I go in again but at 5 am. Going in early works better for my schedule but I did not want to do it twice in one week. Not much else yesterday. Today I may walk at the lake after work.

Have a good day.

Good Morning.

I made it to work today. Don't want to be here but we have a big meeting that I'm in charge of getting food catered for so I figured I better be here.

Didn't do anything yesterday. I went to the doctor. She said my symptoms all point to the new COVID strand. Thankfully my test came back negative along with the strep and pneumonia test she did. I guess I just have a bad cold. My glands are still swollen and I'm on the verge of losing my voice. Rough couple of nights sleeping, hopefully tonight will be better. I can't use my cpap machine because I can't breathe out of my nose so I'm sure that's playing a big part of me not sleeping.

I'm going to walk over to the cafe across the hall and get a smoothie for breakfast. I just don't feel like eating.

That's about it, have a great day.

Good morning. Heading for 2 more days of 80 degree temps and then falling back down to more fall like temps (62). Supposed to get down to freezing Sunday night. I did all the yard work yesterday, hopefully for the last time. I started mowing at the beginning of April here, and finished in Oct. That's a lot of grass cutting, lol. Any leaves that fall can sit there until Spring. I was so tired when I came in, but seeing how nice the yard looks made me feel like I did something.

I made a small chicken 'cobbler' for dinner and have enough for tonight so I won't have to do anything but reheat it. Watched some tv, and went to bed before midnight

I have a ton of trash to take down, since I cleaned out the shed and behind the shed, so I need to get myself moving

@footballmouse Sorry to hear you have Covid, I hope you feel better soon

Have a nice day
