Finally somewhat recovered from three long shifts this past weekend. Had some nice patients. Also had one on our unit not so nice to me when trying to help.

Helps me more appreciate the nice ones, for sure. Commute was very cold! And the unit was cold, too, we had to bang on the pipes to get them to turn up the heat a bit, lol. Hands were like ice and I had to wear my jacket. DD showed me a funny ticktok nurse video that I could totally relate to and made me laugh thinking of it. (It was of a nurse at home trying to sleep after a shift with eye cover on and still hearing all the beeps and alarms and call lights and pumps - it really happens, they get in your head! Which is probably sort of satisfying for patients to know since they keep them awake in hospital too!)
Yesterday I was exhausted but forced myself to get some things done around the house - straightened up (boys were home alone over weekend, did mostly ok but, you know!), vacuumed, cleaned two of three bathrooms, sorted and started laundry, grocery shopped, put groceries away, helped with dinner (marinated London broil with oven baked potatoes and asparagus with Irish bread) and later dozed off as I was sorting through some mail and bills (had them next to me on sofa while watching news).
I never got my extra BP meds approved from last weeks request, still waiting to hear and took my last dose Friday. Called again today and hoping to hear something by the end of the day but its not looking good.
Oh no! Is it possible to get your doctor’s office to send the prescription to a national pharmacy like CVS? Or could you visit the ER to have a BP check and get a new script from them? A pain, I know. I hope you can find a solution!
binge watched the new Tyler Henry show on Netflix. If you've never heard of him, he's a medium who used to have a show with celebrities on E network. If you believe in that type of thing, he's really good. This new show was a mix of meeting with regular people from his wait list and a back story of his family. Super emotional... loved it.
I will try to watch this, for sure!

Thanks for the head’s up!
It is so nice the week, I'm sure flowers will start to pop up soon. I bough some wave petunias from a local nursery last week. I pick them up next week. Every spring they do a $1 sale for 3" pots of those flowers so that's a good deal. I'm also going to try some sun impatients this year. My sister has been buying them for a couple of years and said they are so easy to take care of, that's what I need.
I wish I did, but I don’t have much of a green thumb. Grew up in the city and didn’t really do much planting or things like that. DH is more the gardener. But I do get hanging New Guinea impatiens every year that are mine, and that I take care of. They are amazing. If they stay in direct heat, by the end of the day they droop pretty significantly, but move them to shade and water them and they come right back! (Better to keep them in indirect light but that’s not possible for me.) We also do impatiens in our window boxes and yard. They like a little water every day (but not too much or they get “woody”). I love geraniums, too, and do two big planters for front and back. Never had great luck with petunias.
We are aiming to do some yard work this year along with some other projects like building a new pool deck and painting the house. Probably lofty goals, but we’re talking about it anyway. Our deck got messed up in a storm and it needs to be replaced this year (we lived with it last year). I’m happy it’s almost time for flowers again! We do have a big garden, it’s DD’s and DH’s they do it together, but I am allowed to make suggestions, lol. I also want to remember to hang a wall planter I picked up two years ago to put herbs in, we forgot it last year. I found it somewhere (probably a thrift shop or yard sale, I forget) and spray painted it and it’s adorable. I did order that little set I think I mentioned here before for my screen porch and it arrived, so I’m anxious to get that set up, too. Lots to do!
Have some errands to run when DH gets home so better get moving. Have a good evening, everyone!
