Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Grateful that the Governor of MD is thinking of lifting the stay at home ban soon. Although we will all still have to be careful for the forseeable future, at least it's another step towards normalcy!
It was a good press conference, I think you could hear a hint of hope? or something in his voice. It was good to hear something positive, simple as it was.

Right now we have free Showtime so I recorded a film called Sword of Trust. It had Mark Maron in it and we like him so that's why I recorded even though I had never heard of it. It was BONKERS. Not life changing or anything but a fun little flick that filled the time nicely.

First Responders had a special treat in MA today.

It made me smile. 😊 DH actually saw it Live from his work.

Is this the one for Western MA? I was hoping that we might be able to catch even just a small glimpse of it, being that we're on the Massachusetts border (it only takes 8 minutes to get from our house in CT to downtown Springfield). They were scheduled to fly over Baystate and Mercy around 12:35-12:40. We often see military planes flying over our house, so we thought "maybe," but no such luck. We really need to go back to the Air Museum at the airport when it reopens - and maybe take Josh to an air show!

Question of the day: 5/6 What's the last movie you watched?

I love movies. I don't always have the attention span to watch but I think we will watch something this evening.
Hands down my husband's favorite is Back to the Future 1 and 2. Of course, I love Steele Magnolias and Fried Green Tomatoes
but I also like a good John Wayne movie or a musical. Last movie Matt watched was IT Pt2 (I don't do scary movies) and I watched Guarding Tess the other day.

Josh and I watched The Goonies this afternoon! He LOVED it! I wasn't sure if he was really ready for it age-wise, but then, this is the kid who has already seen Harry Potter, Star Wars, some of Indiana Jones...

He also really likes all of the Back to the Future movies. There's a new(-ish?) set of kids' books called Pop Classics, which are sanitized versions of 80s movies. We bought the Back to the Future one for Josh and he started bugging us about the movie, so we recorded all 3 on the DVR and let him watch them. Not too bad...there were some things that I worried about but he never reacted to them.

Over the weekend, we (again) watched The Lego Ninjago Movie and The Lego Batman Movie. Reminds me so much of sitting in our room at the Legoland Florida Hotel and watching them on their "Lego Movies On Demand" channel.

Yucky cold dreary damp day here.

I had gotten out the Little Tykes Doll House of my DD's to have ready for DGD. The "mattresses" on the bed were sponge backed that had disintegrated so I am using an old bath towel to make new ones.

Dinner was hot dogs and beans, and fresh fruit salad.

I watched Governor Hogan also. (Surprising number of Marylanders here.) It is so much easier for me to listen to him than our President. (Trying not to get political.)

Question of the day: 5/6 What's the last movie you watched?
Not counting Hallmark Movies, DH and I watched one we got from the library, The Leisure Seeker. DH likes movies more than I do. We don't have the same taste, but he falls asleep.

Gratitudes;
*Called an older lady from church today. We know each other from a book group and I had lent her books. She is widowed and only drives to church and the store, so going nowhere now. I talked to her for 20+ minutes. It was nice. I found out she turns 94 next week. WOW! She is out of books so I may drive there, across state lines, and lend her more. I enjoyed talking to her.
*While I talked to her, I walked loops in the house so at least got a few steps in.
*I don't think I mentioned this. I have been participating in an online scavenger hunt for Southern Shores Realty that we use for vacation rentals. They post a list of three things related to there area and the player posts photos. Once a week they chose a winner. I won this week. Waiting to see the "swag bag" I won.

Yes that was the same one! They did a big circle from the Cape to Boston to Springfield and back to Westfield, I believe. So do you think you saw them?

Last movie was My Cousin Vinnie last weekend. It’s in my top 5 movies so if it’s on I have to watch it, lol. We also watched The Natural recently, and DD and I watched Free Willy too. DD has been watching the Back to the Future movies, too. With all the talk of Star Wars I was thinking of re-watching some of the more recent ones again soon.

Good Evening everyone and I remember Free Willy, Pea and Me! That sounds good right now, something that takes place in water. I'll gladly switch 90 with anyone's cooler weather, btw :D I haven't watched a movie other than part of a Hallmark one in forever.

Gratitude Today:

Talking with my friend Shirley who is elderly and in Assisted Living. She's keeping her spirits up. I told her to be on the lookout for a word search book I had sent her on Monday.

Nice email from Associate Pastor at my church who is dear to me.

One step forward finally toward new a/c's. Workers are coming tomorrow to measure wall space to be sure they will hold a/c's we found on Home Depot. Continued prayers please that the owner will offer something toward this huge cost.

Hands down my husband's favorite is Back to the Future 1 and 2. Of course, I love Steele Magnolias...

I like the Back to the Future movies too, but Steele Magnolias is definitely one of my favorites!

Question of the day: 5/6 What's the last movie you watched?

I watched one earlier today called "The Note" that I had DVR'd from the Hallmark channel. It was OK, but not something I would watch over and over.

I love movies. I don't always have the attention span to watch
Me too. Often my first question is “ how long is the movie?”

Since we’re home and have Netflix and Disney+ , we’re going to watch movies we should’ve seen already. We watched Black Panther the other night.

Right now, Armageddon is on the tv. LOL We were watching DVR tv shows and when we turned off the DVR, it was on the channel with Armageddon on it.

Before that, I think the last movie was a couple days ago, and it was Avengers: End Game. We had been watching the movies in the order the movies/tv shows were aligned, so started with Captain America and then Captain Marvel; going to end with the last Spiderman in a few days.

What movies I watch depends on my mood. I'm not big on westerns, or certain movies that were made from books (I am proud to say I have never seen a Twilight movie or read more than 10 pages of one of the books). Sometimes I want to watch stuff get blown up, or car chases, and sometimes I want funny, or tender, or romantic, or drama.

I made oven fried chicken tonight, using Zataran's New Orleans hot & spicy fry mix, and Mexican street corn. (both per DH's request) Pineapple Dole Whip for dessert. Now, I'll be up for a little while with heartburn (Alka Seltzer heartburn chews to the rescue), but it was sooo good. I used a little of the corn sauce (easy to make) with the chicken and it worked great together.

DH has decided that he needs another new hobby, so he is taking up bass guitar. Since he can't use the golf clubs, fly tying kit to fly fish, shoot airsoft guns, or play D&D in a real person environment (only online groups). /sigh

Hello everyone, mind if I join midway? Too bad, lol, here I am anyway 😍
i need a friendly group, amd I glanced at a thread or 2 and omg 🙀

I can’t really watch many Movies, I have the attention span of a gnat. But, I have been watching re-runs of 90210 nonstop. Lol.

My husband is still on oxygen in the hospital, but we did get a face time in. and he Is doing much better, I’m sooo relieved,

Spring continues to be beautiful here.
I drove my hubs in for his infusion. He's there for most of the day, so I zipped home and got some things done. Then I picked him up, and we headed home for dinner.

Last movie I watched was The Hundred-foot Journey.
I enjoyed it. A bonus, it has a very nice soundtrack.

The weekend before I watched Searching For Bobby Fischer again. That movie touches me. It's an interesting story. I love how it explores why kindness and decency matters.

Gratitudes-
The blessing of knowing my husband is in good hands at the center. The nurses and staff there are wonderful.

My grandkids. Conversations and FaceTime with them are so fun.

Knitting. It's peaceful and relaxing.

Thank you very much! ❤️ Prayers are appreciated more than you know.
Yes, it was wonderful, i just felt badly, he looked very weak, and that’s to be expected. I just want/need him healthy and back home.

Thank you again. 💕
