Very glad to hear Mr. L is doing well, Lynn! I am also sorry about the wedding. totally agree with both you and Snowysmom, how much better it was to call it off now than after the fact. Who knows? Maybe down the road, if it is God's Will, they'll get back together.

Dad took this picture of Evergreen a little while ago. Look at how God continues to grow him healthy and green!

Have a good evening, friends.

Good evening.

Today was lovely weatherwise. We did get to Lancaster and the kids had fun. We did hit the Outlets and I managed to get 2 pairs of sneakers for me and then I got 2 pairs for LJ. They were buy one get one 50% off. I figured I am in a position to help out once in awhile so I did. He will be able to wear the one pair immediately and can grow into the second pair. We went to the Disney Outlet and everything was 25% off and I got an extra 10% with my Disney Visa. I got a mug since I needed an extra one, having broken one recently, and I got a pair of Mickey lounge pants. My sleeping attire is the lounge pants and a long sleeve T-Shirt. I like to be comfy and like cotton or lightweight material. I also found a cat angel ornament that reminded me of Jack at Kitchen Kettle Village. Overall it was a very productive day and I managed to get my granddaughters friend home in time for Passover.

Tomorrow will be very busy getting ready for Easter and LJ's Baptism. I hope the weather holds up as we have the Easter Egg Hunt out in the cemetery at church. 700 eggs are difficult to hide indoors.

I thought I would share a few pics. My grandson Anthony's class did a Living Stations of the Cross the other day. I wasn't sure what that entailed but I was very moved by it. The kids were very solemn, at least at the one I attended. He said they were a little more giggly at the evening one. Anthony was Pontius Pilate. He is the one pointing and then a group picture of his class8 (2).jpg12 (2).jpg

My granddaughter Ella took up Volleyball this year. I wasn't happy with the coaching, but she loved the experience for the most part and is going to Volleyball Camp this summer. The icing on the cake is her team won the championship This kept me busy last weekend because the playoffs were an all day thing. A picture of Ella serving, not the best as I decided to just use the phone

And some pics of the house renovation. The first picture gives you an idea of what I changed from color wise

And this is the after. This is the dining room I went with the light gray I used in the kitchen and one wall is a couple shades darker but not overwhelming. My mother made the table runner for me last year. It is an Easter theme with puppies. The reverse is Butterflies so I will get Spring with it also.

Living room. I have the blanket and towels on the couch to prevent damage from the cats and dog

The ceiling fan and recessed light were added with the renovation

I can't get my husband to give up that ugly TV table. And some decorations. I loved the messages on these plaques1 (2).jpg8 (2).jpg

I find the new colors make the house seem so much larger and calmer, and I love the new carpeting.

Hope you all have a good evening.

@PollyannaMom Love the ducklings!

@TazDev Like all the pictures you posted. Your house looks nice.

@flyingdumbo127 Nice evergreen. Those are lovely trees.

I am going out to get flowers for my DDILs. Then off to the house to see if I can finish or at least get close to finishing up the packing. I am finding I can't stay there too long so it may need to be finished up next weekend.

For everyone who celebrate Easter, I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Have a good Saturday.

Happy Easter Weekend to all! Bright sunshine and 60 degrees now, going to 70's. Tomorrow temps drop down to 51, Monday 42, by Wednesday back to 60's. Just called Outdoor Power again..they still have no estimated date for the riding mowers. He said they are making them as fast as they can, but with the issue getting supplies, it's taking a lot longer. He said they are running out of mowers of all kinds, quickly, and mowing season just started! So I may be without it till Summertime. I am going to mow again today, cause Monday is cold and supposed to rain and if I wait till Wed/Thurs, it will be so tall I will have to mow 2x. Stripped and remade the bed, put laundry in , going out to weedwack while waiting for the lawn to dry out from the dew. Thinking Chinese for dinner, the place that's been closed for a year, finally reopened

Have a great Saturday (and weekend) to all of my fellow Quackers!!

Busy day today getting ready for tomorrow. Not a big crowd, but want to get some cleaning done anyway. Going to tackle windows in my sunroom and dusting, etc. I can tell we have rain coming because my hip has been sore since yesterday. I can always predict storms that way, lol. Also have to run out to buy some carrots for dinner and some last minute baskets, gift cards and lottery tickets. Hopefully I don’t forget anything. Already bought the ingredients for the pig cake. Who else is making that besides Lynn and me? 😁

I visited my elderly friend yesterday and brought her some fun and pretty things for Easter. If you‘re so inclined, could you keep her in your prayers, she is having some health issues and I worry about her. Still a beautiful lady and we had a lot of laughs. Will bring her a dinner tomorrow.

DS and DH got the boat out for a first of the season run this week. I was at work when they sent me some pictures from out on the water. 😅 Boat was running great so they were happy. That will keep them busy this summer.

Have a good day, everyone! 🐣

Good ☀️☀️ morning. 🐣

So far I have made and cleaned up breakfast, set the table, and pretty much everything else is ready except making a pie and hiding the eggs. I am procrastinating on the pie and waiting on the eggs because I am afraid of ants getting into the candy in the plastic eggs.

Enjoy your day. Be back later.

Edited to add a picture of my table.

Good morning. It stayed at 62 degrees all night, will go to 72, but they say rain possible after noon time, imagine that, lol. Grass is already growing back up, but I refuse to mow it till next week. Just did it 3 days ago. I am going to stop at the Outdoor Power place tomorrow after Mr L's appt and see if they have any other 42" riding mowers. I am not sure what other brands they carry other than Cub Cadet. I know for sure that they don't carry John Deere, but they must have something else. I don't mind waiting a little longer for the Cub Cadet one, but I don't want to be waiting till the middle of summer either

I already changed out and cleaned the litter boxes and litter mats, Swept the kitchen, wrote out my menu for Easter, and did dishes. Have a load of laundry going. Just waiting a bit and then going out to mow inside the garden, weedwack inside the fence, and move the brush pile to the middle of the garden so I can burn it. Going to have the 2 grandsons move the old coffee table and potato bin cabinet to the burn pile, can't lift them by myself. After I burn, I can start tilling the garden.

Lovely pictures @Breezy_Carol!

Have a great day all

In the spring there is a lot of competition for certain brands and models. Some models are specific to certain retailers.

Good luck! Hope you find one that serves you well. I have to go ride mine today.

Hope you all have a good evening.

Some day I will take pictures of my blanketed couch, love seat and chairs! Towels on the chairs and throws and blankets everywhere!

At least they can be thrown in the wash to try to get rid of some cat hair.

Enjoy your renovations! Always feels good to get new paint, carpet/flooring and furniture.

I really only trust Cub Cadet,,my last 2 push mowers have been that brand and I have never had any issue with either. In fact, just finished mowing (for the second time this week) the whole lawn now. 68 and sunny. The riding one would be nice, but I can wait till they get them..the exercise surely doesn't hurt me any, lol!

Good morning friends...we spent the evening at our friends house(like always....lol) so we got to see and hold the baby. :lovestruc She's getting soo chubby. She's almost doubled her birth weight and she's the same weight our DD was when she was born.

Tomorrow will be a quiet day here, just the three of us and my dad. Last year, it was just DD, myself and my dad since DH was out of town for work and my mom was still in the hospital. I've decided to make a small half ham for DH but also turkey Salisbury steak that I've made before. It's soo good. I'll make it with some mashed potatoes, roasted veggies and some rolls. I'll also have some deviled eggs, and got some cheese spread, salami and crackers. Not sure what I'm doing for dessert yet, maybe just a cake.

Next week, it's looking like I may be going out of town with DH for work. I'm looking forward to it.

Hope you all have a great day and nice Easter.

Remember when I told you about my weird neighbor next door..the one that mowed my lawn, but then kept asking to borrow money? This story is from today--
. This morning Mr L was sitting at the table fixing his breakfast. He says why is Kevin walking down through our yard wearing nothing but black boxers? I look out the front door and see him going down the steps on the bank, across the street, down the gravel driveway across the street. I see him take a left behind the building.. No shirt, no shoes, nothing. We just figured that he was making a drug deal. I went about my business. A little while ago, My L says, now what is he doing in our yard again. I said what is he doing? He said smelling the flowers on a bush? I thought what the heck. I look out the kitchen window and see that a man in a sheriff's uniform is just standing there trying to see movement over their fence. I quietly went out and asked what was going on. He came to the corner of the house by the lilac bush and talked very quietly. Asked if I knew Kevin and I said unfortunately yes. He asked when the last time I saw him. I told him this morning and went into detail, description. What he was and wasn't wearing and where I saw him go. Seems he has 2 arrest warrants out for him. They went to the front door, and his father warned Kevin and he ran. I said drugs? Sheriff said one is drug related and the other is a warrant for not showing up in court I guess. The cop said his parents keep helping him evade us. Gave me the non police number and asked me to call if I saw him again. I looked to see where the police car was, and it's parked down behind a pickup truck down behind the yellow bldg. Cop thanked me for 'my help' and said please keep an eye out and call us. Now I am more than creeped out, knowing he's got warrants for arrest and that his parents are helping him evade cops????? Yikes!!!

Ooh, are you sharing the recipe for that, Auntie? ☺️

Well we got a lot done and I just sat for my second cup of coffee. Sun is peeking out. Tore apart the sunroom, cleaned windows, dusted and washed floors. Poor Toto got stepped on as he was underfoot, so we put him out on the deck and he just watched us, worried he might be missing out on something. Dusted and cleaned kitchen and living room, just need to wash kitchen floor while I have the mop out. (Old style mop reminds me of Mom!) DD wiped down all the cabinets for me, they needed to be done. Will do the bathrooms tomorrow.

Off to shower and head out. I can’t remember if I shared this picture. If so, it’s worth another run! Just realized I never put him out!! Off to find him!

:hug:AuntieMe3, so glad you got to hold the precious baby!

PLEASE stay safe, Lynn! Scary :(

Adorable picture, Pea :)

Favor to those of you who are techy. Dad drew a needed illustration for a story someone wrote for the book. I scanned it and it's saved as a PDF. When I copy/paste the image into the text, there's a foot almost of blank space underneath it. How do I crop out that extra space? Or does it need to somehow be converted to JPEG to do that? Thank you!

Darkish out there already, the sun really never did come out too much today. That's okay. I was thinking earlier how extra blessed we are to know of tomorrow. Over 2,000 years ago those humans living didn't. I can't even imagine the darkness of that Friday night and Saturday. Wow. Puts the Miracle of tomorrow in extra perspective and humble JOY.

❤️to all.

Happy Easter! And joyous Passover, Ramadan and any other holidays people might be celebrating this season!

Why am I up? Well, after running around all day I dozed off on the sofa in the evening for a short time, and then I couldn’t fall asleep tonight! :lmao: After watching the pouring rain reflected in the street lights outside for a while (really pretty), I decided to get a jump on things. I went downstairs and cooked the hard boiled eggs for deviled eggs. Then I thought I might as well peel the carrots and cut the ends off the string beans. Well I got through the carrots and put all the shavings down the garbage disposal with running hot water. It’s loud but I figured a quick spin and it won’t really wake anyone up. Well wouldn’t you know, the whole drain clogged and the sink started filling up! :scared: Omg, DH is going to be like, wth! (He hates plumbing!) So I went and grabbed the plunger and there I am at 2am plunging the darned sink over and over! :faint: Thankfully it worked, and I finally got a beautiful swirling, clear drain. So glad a pipe didn’t burst or something, that was what I was worried about! But all’s well that ends well, and the carrots and the beans are all ready and in pans with water on the stove. So DH will just have to do the scalloped potatoes, the meat (easy), and the cake in the morning. (I will probably be sleeping, lol.) Oh, and I forgot the onion soup mix for the dip so someone is going to have to run out for that - probably DD.

Looking forward to a nice day! And wishing you all a beautiful day, too.:daisy:While I was working I was thinking of all of our loved ones who have passed and who I miss (like, I was using FIL’s knife, and my cousin who I’ll see today’s Mom and Dad, who I was close with and who was my Godfather, and my grandmother whose kitchen things I have, and Mom, of course, and others from when our kids were little, and when I myself was little, friends from then, etc.), and it was sort of nice to have that quiet time to just think about them all. Traditions evolve but we are blessed to have loved ones around us still even when some of the others are gone. I felt them with me in spirit, for sure. Maybe I was meant to have that time alone, to enjoy the peace it brought me, despite a little bit of chaos (as usual!).
