Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Happy Sunday everyone. My niece was picked up this afternoon and I am EXHAUSTED. :faint: She has a lot of energy and doesn't require a lot of sleep, completely opposite of my DD....I don't want to say she was a lazy kid but she kinda was, she LOVED to sleep. Even the dogs seem a little exhausted since she left, they had soo much fun with her here.
While we were watching a movie last night...she was laying on me, he was laying on her. :lovestruc

Lazy day today, DH has been watching some Marvel movies, while I play on my phone on the couch next to him. We were planning on going to lunch after my niece left but decided to just stay home after all.

My mom still in the hospital and we don't have any idea when she'll be home. She's getting so discouraged, hopefully we'll hear something today or tomorrow.

Hope everyone that got their second dose is feeling better. DH, my dad and I are all scheduled for April 1st and April 2nd for our first doses. DH and I are eligible because we're overweight, DD said the first time something good has come out of being fat. DD can make an appointment now also because of a pre existing condition but she wants to wait a little while.

Clever idea, Rockstar Sparkle :) Can I use that at church (when the pandemic is over)? There were pre plague many people I recognized but whose names I forgot! For example, there was one woman that always sat in the same pew not too far in front of me. She knew my name but I admit to having no clue of hers. I always felt badly asking someone's name who either clearly knew mine or who I felt I should remember. Although, maybe a plague positive is that some folks will look different or that it will have been such a long time that double checking on a name would be okay :D Not quite a QOTD but how do all of you deal with a forgotten name situation?

Such an adorable puppy picture, AuntieMe#. Many prayers for your Mom continuing and that all goes well with your vaccines as well. Hugs, my friend.

Good evening hug to all in fact :)

@tazdev3225, Hope your knee is better soon!

Slept in this morning until almost nine. I have had minor symptoms with my second vaccine shot. Just being sleepy and cranky yesterday for the most part. I got up just fine but I've taken it easy. Helped hold up some lumber while DH attached it to poles. He is enclosing a concrete area that was poured last year.

We took a 10 mile bike ride today. It has been so nice out.

I just come out and say "remind me of your name". When I was working and I'd be out shopping, a family member would come up and say Mom is doing so well and I would say" I have lots of people, and you look familiar, remind me who mom is."

Good morning DIS family! Frosty 21 now , heading for 65 again. Most of this week will be Springlike weather, with maybe some rain thrown in. Once again, hubby wakes me at 3 am. He's sitting on the side of the bed, talking to the cat? Seriously? And he wonders why I am tired and cranky in the morning. I got up at 3:20,,he gets up at 4, so he throws off my whole morning, and he throws the cats off too.

I am planning on getting my tomato seeds started, then I want to just sit outside for awhile and enjoy the nice weather. Before the grass starts growing even more, before the garden needs tilling and before the other 100 Spring/summer "must do's" need to be done.

Have a good morning everyone,,enjoy the nice weather!!Rd99b4942614dfb69fc90eff5ef6ad93a.jpg

Ugggh! - I so get the "throwing off your routine" thing. I count on my quiet time in the mornings to kind of "set" my day.

Especially with cats, too - feed them early once, and all of sudden they think that's the new breakfast time. :cat:

Good day all -
I'm sure I missed a lot, didn't check in this weekend really, so sorry if I missed something.
Got so much done this weekend, lots of yard work done and some additional clearing of a piece of woods we wanted to clear out on a hillside next to the pond. Bush hogged a bit as well. Burnt two big piles of branches and whatnot Saturday and then yesterday afternoon. Eldest re graded the driveway in some areas and I think he's going to take the dump truck Saturday morning and get some more gravel for the driveway. I also got most of everything weeded, with the thought that I'll probably mulch this weekend. Not planning on doing a lot this weekend in case we don't feel well from our second shot on Friday afternoon, but I'll have the mulch there in case I do feel okay. Plus this weekend I need to bush hog the quail habitat for the year.

Have a good day everyone -

Good morning.

After reading what @lynxstch and @easyas123 get accomplished, I feel like a real slacker.

Grocery shopping and changing the sheets today then maybe a hike before watching Maryland women at 4 and the men at 8:45. Plan to cook out for dinner.

I just got a pop-up for McAfee expiring. I sent the link to Webmaster Corey, and to you Lynxstch to be sure I did it right.

Good Morning Dis Family,

Prayers all of you get some good rest tonight and have some R&R today!

I started to watch Chasing Waterfalls last night and will finish today. I admit to having made use of fast forwarding but the waterfall scenery sure is pretty! I will report back later once I've seen it all.

:) to the name asking suggestions, thanks friends. I also really think that one day when church is normal again people just ought to wear name tags with their first name only them! Pre plague, Elders wore these very small and narrow pins with their first and last names on it. Deacons wore clip on name badges also small lettering of first and last name. IMO, only someone's first name is needed!

🐥Have a good Monday!

before watching Maryland women at 4 and the men at 8:45.

Man - does that bring back memories! My folks were for several years very big MD basketball fans, always caught the games on TV. Not at all sure where the interest came from. None of us went to MD and the tallest person in my immediate family was 5'6" - so you KNOW we weren't playing basketball! ::yes::

My morning has gone by fast! I hope the rest of this week does the same!

I think @easy123 has me beat..but for a 66 year old, I do get a lot accomplished. Hubby told me he was 'proud of me' this morning, because I do things I don't like to do, or have to find out how to do, since he can't do them anymore.

Its 60 and so beautiful outside. I decided to do a few outdoor things, I can plant the tomatoes in the cellar when it's not so nice during the day. I am going to put up my new clothesline, take the plastic off the front of the woodshed doors..it's warm enough now for the cats to come and go without having it on there.

I had to LOL at myself this morning. Last week , when I thought the IRS sent us $6 for the stimulus (we got the whole amount 2 days later). I didn't look close enough to see that it was SS who deposited $2 and $4. Got a letter today, that they figured our amounts wrong..I get a whopping $1 a month more and hubby gets $2..lol.

@easyas123, I was never a huge sports fan but both of my kids went to the University of Maryland. And they were both in marching band for football and pep band for basketball. After DD's freshman year, we had season tickets for football. Couldn't afford all the men's basketball games but went to a few. Went to way more women's games enough to know who the players were and they ended up winning the national championship in 2006. Both kids went to some bowl games with football and DS went to some March Madness games with the men one year. Made me more want the teams to win when it meant my kids got to travel.

Shopping done and put away. Even stopped at Tractor Supply for bird seed. Maybe a hike now.

Good for Dr. Wimberly. I was lucky to just get up and watch the service. I have not missed any though. She is one styling church goer. It is going to be so weird to go in person for Carter's baptism. I will have to get dressed more nicely.
