Wow @flyingdumbo127, what an annoying thing to have happen! I'm glad it was only property and not people, but still :sad2:

@Snowysmom, definitely go and check the basement today! Hopefully it really was solved once the landscaping was done, but with last night's storm, you'll definitely be able to tell.

@lynxstch, excellent on the zucchini!!

Good morningish!

FlyingDumbo - wow, what an ordeal yesterday morning that you had to deal with, and a costly one.

Snowysmom - glad it rained yesterday so that you have a chance to check on the basement and get more proof if you need it.

Didn't do anything much after work yesterday, just my chiropractor appointment then ran to Meijer and returned one of the pair of shorts I bought the night before.

Working from home today and getting ready to clock out in about 5 minutes. Going out to clean the my little pool out and fill it up for me & Mia to play in later today. Supposed to hit the high 80's later today so we're hitting the pool.

We were supposed to get bad storms yesterday, absolutely nothing at my house. I was hoping the flowers would get a good watering.

That's about it, need to finish up a few work things. Have a great day!

Just to say... I do sometimes come and read posts here - I don't have the time to keep up properly - but it warms my heart the way you support and encourage each other. And I wish you all the absolute best. ❤️

On the other side my idiot neighbor is once again trying to move the front property marker and put more fencing up, along side his already on the line stockade one. I saw him marking it last night and went out and had a few choice words. I showed him where the property marker is, he says no it's not. I said oh yes it is and I can prove it. Last time they started being pain in the butts with the fence. I went out and took pics and a video of where it was. I then videotaped their son moving it the next day. I went out and put it back again. So far it's still there, but now his 'fence line' with the rope is almost 3 feet over past the marker. We're letting him do what he wants, and as soon as he's done, we're having the county come and survey it, and he's going to have to move everything back where it legally belongs. It will be more work and more $$ for him to do it, and I don't care. If he wants to be like that, so can I.

@Pea-n-Me I hope you paid through Paypal with your bad ebay purchase. They will see that the seller refunds you, even if they have blocked you.

Have a nice afternoon-

Sometimes, people behave in inexplicable ways, don't they?! What a pain. I hope you get this sorted quickly and easily. Also, I do like all the images with quotes you add to your posts. :thumbsup2

Good Morning:grouphug:Everyone with extra love, I absolutely appreciate all of your kindness always and regarding yesterday! We are so blessed to have been unaware of the crime of course and that is what matters--us being okay. It definitely was terrible to discover that's for sure. The new tire and everything else we had planned to get done anyway, is indeed going to be VERY expensive. Carlos, last night, estimated the cost to be over $500 but under $600. Of course, when all is said and done, that can change. Obviously, what needs to be done, needs to be done. The poor car even though it looks terrible (beyond filthy from being parked outside) is young at heart! It'll be 7 years old next week. Mileage is very limited on it. Dad's car is 4 years old. Don't know what I was (or lol wasn't) thinking when I said it was 3. I just wish I did have a secure and covered parking space for it to keep it cleaner and safer. Extra reason I do pray we can one day move!

As I type this, we have yet to still hear from the police or today from Carlos. We weren't expecting Carlos to call until later. I'll definitely share that my car is back! We're also going to bring it to a car wash to at least get it cleaner than it is. I hope Y will still allow me to park in her space this afternoon-Sunday morning. We shall see.

It will be a blessing indeed to get to wish Sue a Happy 100th birthday on her birthday! We'll go to Yum Yum Donuts first and then over briefly to Sue's before my dentist appointment. Dad will either drop off everything at church with Glenda while I'm at the dentist or we will do so after my appointment. I was pleased to have been able to get to get her the waist pack :)

I have, of course, read all of your shares both from yesterday and today. I'll catch up with replying more regularly hopefully later/tomorrow. Know always each of you truly and sincerely are in my prayers and heart.

Have a great Friday. I will come back later :)

I took a road trip to the condo after the big thunderstorm around noon with pouring rain. The basement walls and floor were dry. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised. I hope the water just had to do with the land grading. I will go back Monday as we are expecting rain off and on all weekend. including thunderstorms with heavy rain. It may be that the rain has to be going on for a while. They are probably getting tired of seeing me.

Have a good evening.

Re: the bolded - GOOD! That's how you get things done:rolleyes:, by letting them know you are paying attention.
I'm glad you found the walls and floor to be dry as they should be, now you can get back to looking forward to your new place.

:thanks:Well said, Easyas!:cheer2:

Snowysmom:grouphug:great update! I'm so glad.

My :car:is safely home. It's parked though on the street. Not the same spot as it was on Wednesday night! Those few spaces are the only ones, signs indicate will be impacted tomorrow. Easier to not need Y's space until we truly do. It was, of course, most kind of her to have given her consent to my using her space for a couple of days.

No surprise and we are so thankful that it's done, the total car bill was close to $600:scared1:Prayers definitely appreciated extra that the car stay safe. The tire part was, "cheap," at $200 or so. It was the brake+ other maintenance that we were going to have done this summer anyway that skyrocketed the cost even more drastically.

Car wash that we went to pre pandemic is long out of business due to Covid. We did try to take the car to a drive thru car wash that we thought was closer than it was. Never did go back (busy street) when we did. We just wanted to come 🏠

We never did hear back from the police. Dad called a little while ago and learned the Officer that wrote the notice will be there Sunday morning. We will call then. :thanks:all so much again for all of your extra love and prayers. My Quacker family sure is dear to me.

Keep cool and have a great rest of the day, everyone!

Good morning. Had downpours on and off all afternoon yesterday. Chance again today. Very foggy outside, hard to even see across the street. Temps in the 90's again. Going to take a quick run through the garden before it gets hot, then change the sheets and clean the bathrooms before doing the kitchen floor.

Nothing new here
Have a great day

The storm passed and it got sunny for a while, then clouded over a bit. I've been sitting on the porch with one of the cats, alternately reading and playing on my phone.

QOTD: What's everyone reading lately?

My answer: a novel called "The Handbook For Lightning Strike Survivors" - by Michelle Young-Stone.

I found a series of books Shellseeker Beach by Hope Holloway. I read Sanibel Dreams on the cruise and am working on Sanibel Treasures. I don't read as much as I used to but find when I am on vacation I will read.

Jeff texted that he now has the stomach bug. As Mom, I of course told him how to take care of himself. I know Aimee is there and Jeff knows what to do but I can't stop being Mom. Kenny and kids went to the Museum of Science and will go to a splash pad nearby. I am not mentally feeling great so decided to pass today. Monday is my wedding anniversary and I am sad. We would have been married 47 years. These kind of days are really tough. I may go do some exploring around the area in a bit. Maybe I will find some place to look at or investigate.

Good Saturday morning to everyone!

Thought I would stop by while my sausage links are baking in the oven. I'm making a new to me recipe called Breakfast Muffins. Consists mainly of hash browns, sausage links, eggs and cheese plus a couple other ingredients.

I did notice a lot of branches seem to have been eaten off. I know there are no bugs, so it has to be the birds.
What about tomato worms? They can clear the leaves/branches on a tomato plant in no time and when they are small they are hard to find.
Today is my 42nd anniversary
Happy Anniversary!
Last night I watched the three part series on Netflix about Arnold Schwarzenneger. I enjoyed it. Has anyone else seen it?
James and I watched it when I was there. I found it very interesting! I've always liked him.

Monday is my wedding anniversary and I am sad. We would have been married 47 years.
Hugs to you Snowy. I have a friend whose anniversary is today, they would have been married 45 years. Her husband died of Covid. I pray that your weekend and anniversary day is filled with tons of good memories to help you through this time.
QOTD: What's everyone reading lately?
I'm currently reading It's That Time of Year by Roisin Meany. She is a new to me author, I'm enjoying this book!

I recently read a very interesting book called The Oregon Trail: A New American Journey by Rinker Buck. It's about a man and his brother who actually rode the Oregon Trail in a wagon pulled by mules in 2011. It's a book that I would definitely recommend reading.

Carol and I had lunch the other day at a Sushi place where the sushi comes around on a conveyor belt and you pick up the plate that you want (the plates are each covered by a lid so it's very sanitary). I'm not much of a sushi eater, it all has to be cooked. It was interesting to see all the different kinds you could get. They charge by the plate, we had 10 between us. I probably wouldn't go back unless I had a friend that wanted to try it.

Carol should be with the kids today since this is her weekend but her ex and his wife took them to Maui instead. He waited until Monday to let her know where in the Hawaiian Islands they would be and the flights were so expensive at that point she couldn't afford to go. Needless to say when she informed him of that fact he turned the whole situation around on her like it was all her fault she couldn't go. She's okay, her attorneys are aware and it all just adds to their case against him when the time comes.

James told me yesterday that he gets to come home in two weeks. He is so ready and can't wait to get Mack.

Well, my muffins are done, it's time to check them out. Ya'll have a good day!

Good Morning Everyone :)

Thanks to God, I slept really well last night and feel much more refreshed today🌅It's definitely an extra blessing today to know my car is taken care of! Dad, thank God, is staying home today so it'll be a quiet Saturday here. We are expecting some packages. Looking forward to online worship, of course, tomorrow.

Please stay 🏡and safe all of you in stormy weather! Watch a Hallmark movie and enjoy some hot 🍫

:grouphug:with extra ❤️Dear Snowysmom! I also pray you find some joy in good memories.

Lynn, I love your pooh:message!

PollyannaMom, I always enjoy hearing about what 📚that you're, (and other members of our Quacker family are), reading! Thanks for sharing :)

Kirby, so good to see you:hug:Praise extra indeed to God and continuing 🙏for James.

Have a great Saturday, All. I will check back in later.

I "liked" your post for the other stuff, but I'm so sorry everyone is being treated this way. It must be awful!

I "liked," your post earlier, for the same reason, of course, Kirby! You know that. You and your whole family truly are extra in my prayers for sure!

I hope all of you are having a quiet and good Saturday, we are :)

Good morning, all 🌤️

Quiet here, as I'm the only one up early. I just watched a movie: "Why Can't My Life Be a Rom-Com?" - predictable, but cute.

It looks like it's going to rain again sometime this morning. No particular plans, though, so will just try to stay in and avoid it.

Happy Sunday!
