Good Saturday morning to everyone!
Thought I would stop by while my sausage links are baking in the oven. I'm making a new to me recipe called Breakfast Muffins. Consists mainly of hash browns, sausage links, eggs and cheese plus a couple other ingredients.
I did notice a lot of branches seem to have been eaten off. I know there are no bugs, so it has to be the birds.
What about tomato worms? They can clear the leaves/branches on a tomato plant in no time and when they are small they are hard to find.
Today is my 42nd anniversary
Happy Anniversary!
Last night I watched the three part series on Netflix about Arnold Schwarzenneger. I enjoyed it. Has anyone else seen it?
James and I watched it when I was there. I found it very interesting! I've always liked him.
Monday is my wedding anniversary and I am sad. We would have been married 47 years.
Hugs to you Snowy. I have a friend whose anniversary is today, they would have been married 45 years. Her husband died of Covid. I pray that your weekend and anniversary day is filled with tons of good memories to help you through this time.
QOTD: What's everyone reading lately?
I'm currently reading It's That Time of Year by Roisin Meany. She is a new to me author, I'm enjoying this book!
I recently read a very interesting book called The Oregon Trail: A New American Journey by Rinker Buck. It's about a man and his brother who actually rode the Oregon Trail in a wagon pulled by mules in 2011. It's a book that I would definitely recommend reading.
Carol and I had lunch the other day at a Sushi place where the sushi comes around on a conveyor belt and you pick up the plate that you want (the plates are each covered by a lid so it's very sanitary). I'm not much of a sushi eater, it all has to be cooked. It was interesting to see all the different kinds you could get. They charge by the plate, we had 10 between us. I probably wouldn't go back unless I had a friend that wanted to try it.
Carol should be with the kids today since this is her weekend but her ex and his wife took them to Maui instead. He waited until Monday to let her know where in the Hawaiian Islands they would be and the flights were so expensive at that point she couldn't afford to go. Needless to say when she informed him of that fact he turned the whole situation around on her like it was all her fault she couldn't go. She's okay, her attorneys are aware and it all just adds to their case against him when the time comes.
James told me yesterday that he gets to come home in two weeks. He is so ready and can't wait to get Mack.
Well, my muffins are done, it's time to check them out. Ya'll have a good day!
