QS in a Moderate

If I stay in a moderate resort will Disney allow me to take advantage of the QS Dining Plan or will I be required to have the regular dining? We just prefer to have the QS but with the free dining it states that you would need a value resort to get the QS. Seems like they would come out ahead on the deal so I don't know why it would be a problem. We have done the regular dining in the past and really felt like we were on a schedule because of all the reservations. Thanks Guys!!

It has been reported that they will not let you downgrade. I, too, don't understand this.

Here is a better way to do it - if you have a room only code for a moderate book that and then add your tickets and then you can add ANY Dining plan you want!!! It actually works out to be cheaper anyway!!!
