PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

This is interesting. Is it just wishful thinking or is there more to make you think a tower could be in the works?
There’s just been rumors as noted above that that parking lot is going to become additional lodging. I haven’t been keeping up with WDWMagic like I used to but that was a thing at one point fairly recently among the people who know things.
 

Well, it is Disney. If they ever did such a conversion they’d probably call it Deluxe by fiat, and match the OKW points chart but with smaller rooms. 😅
Ha! But the increased dining options over OKW MIGHT make it worthy of the Deluxe title.

How fast is it selling? VGF sold fast, but others not so much.
Incentives: We got a killer deal on BLT a while back.
What it actually looks like and the "vibe". We are going to Flower and Garden in May and will drop in for a visit.

All depends on the incentives. I think it is dependent on that for us.

Definitely, unless the incentives are terrible which I doubt.
 
I'm definitely waiting until it actually opens before even considering it with those point charts. I want to know what people think about crowding etc after opening day. Worst case scenario, even if the initial offer is the best they ever have for it, resale will drop back down below direct pricing once it opens and it's not restricted so it's a good resale buy. Plus we already have member benefits.

I am likely out (for now). The small amount of 1 bedroom villas, and projected minimal number of standard view 1 bedrooms, are my biggest hang ups. I can already get a studio quite easily at the 7 month mark, but the thought of walking a 1 bedroom at the 11 month mark is not appealing to me.

I am also very concerned about transportation difficulties and would like to see how that pans out.

If incentives are really strong (which I am not expecting), I might reconsider, but for now, happy to stay paused. And if we do decide to buy in, I would really need to think about direct vs resale, too.

ETA - I already have my DVC-Y status as I bought in at Riviera, so my answer would probably be different if I wasn't already a direct owner.

Maybe. We have a contract written with the current incentives at riviera. Our guide is sending us polynesian tower details when its released tomorrow and we may re-write the contract if the polynesian tower incentives are compelling enough.

Yes, the stars have aligned for me… exchange rates with the UK are at a recent high, and I just happened to get a half year dividend which is almost the exact amount needed for 150 points! So I’m definitely buying tomorrow.
I am opting for a fixed week as I do envisage standard view will be tough to get.
My guide called earlier just to clarify a few details for the contract, so I’m hoping to have that to sign as soon as they open for business tomorrow (he still wouldn’t give me any clue on incentives… although I’m sure they know what they are already). I think we're pretty set on just waiting for the right (PVB) resale contract to pop up around the holidays/new year. At this stage we'd be way more likely to buy RIV direct, but even the last 2 incentive cycles didn't push us to that point so it'd have to be an "out of this world" deal to make the switch over to Poly direct.

Yes, my family is preparing to do so. We are resale owners looking for a path to Direct membership and this seems to be the best case scenario for us.

We want to be “future proof” and the fact that they seem to be breaking ground on Reflections right now is all the more reason to get the Blue card now.

Hoping to see good incentives but our decision is likely already made.

No. But they can convince me with “I can’t pass this” incentives. Not worried about it because I know it won’t happen.

I need to print this and walk around with it tomorrow morning plus what @Tatebeck said.

I have enough points and DVC-Y status. I can’t stress about not getting a 1BR at 11 months for Feb or Spring break.
 
Don’t know how many Poly points I’ll buy or even IF I’ll buy. I used to be all in but I first need to understand how many of each room type in each category. I’m not convinced Poly is a good place to pursue larger villas so I might stick with what I own there for studios…. And, of course, it very much depends on the incentives! I also don’t see any reason to rush into it.
