PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

Sheesh! I gotta say I’m pretty disappointed with the points chart. I was really hoping Disney would do the right thing, and not go crazy with the theme park view points…but they went crazy with the theme park view points!

938 points for a 2 bedroom theme park view over the Christmas and Easter weeks!?!?! This is insane. Consider a VGF lake view 2 bedroom over the same week is 759 for 7 nights!

Anyone buying into PVB with the idea of staying theme park view during the more popular travel times, you are gonna need some seriously deep pockets.
Imagine what the "renters" will charge 😱 😰🤯

Will it be super popular with renters? I know a lot of people love to stay at the poly, but with those point charts the rental price will be pretty steep as well, compared to other resorts with lower point charts.
The studios will be. Our introduction to dvc was by renting a poly lake view. Almost 200 points rented. It cost 3456 and was less than the art of animation family suite for the same days

We have BLT and love it. But we love poly so will be buying. Probably like 150 points. Same UY so we can coordinate using both contracts for extended family visits. Hey, if you want cheapest points go to Saratoga. Poly is premium location.

I want to see the incentives first, be leaning heavily toward a 150 point Poly purchase myself. I've waffled back and forth on this a lot, but if the incentives are halfway decent, I'm most of the way to sold. Already have Poly resale points, but we'd like to have some access to whatever new resorts come next, and the FOMO of a "blue card" is real for my husband. This may be our last chance to buy unrestricted direct points, and that matters a lot to me. I can't stand the resale restrictions, and would not consider a direct purchase at a resort that has them.

I want to have my cake and eat it too! I am always looking for premium locations AND good prices! SAP+ > SAP lol

SAP+ is where it's at. I have been avoiding SSR points just in case 7 month booking gets more difficult in the future

Some issues I have:
Points Chart - Worse than VGF (which I had assumed to be the case)
Lock off Units meaning if I want a 2 BR, no guarantee
Don’t personally have a big love of the Poly - much prefer VGF for the grandeur and BLT for the proximity…

But… might consider adding on anyways! We shall see!

I’m not surprised at all that the point charts fell at the high end. But also there’s still some seasons that don’t look as bad. Early May, for example, a 1BR is 250-306-342 depending on view. Riv is 248-305, granted Riv standard is a possible Epcot fireworks room vs a PIT parking lot. VGF is 268!!-317.

BLT and CCV look like bargains next to those, mind you.

The season we are in with points at this point (plenty of points, trips slowing down, love 1BRs, cruising more, etc.) it is hard to justify any decent size purchase of points to do anything with Poly towers. Much less than 100 points doesn’t get me much, even banking and borrowing.

Just very heavily price in comparison to the tower rooms
Gotcha - they always have been points heavy and they haven’t been changed with the new points chart.

Yup - this is why our most recent resale was BLT. Low cost over duration of contract and we would happily stay at BLT (but can’t say the same for SSR or CCV) That said I’m super glad the bungalows didn’t go down with the new point charts - the bungalows are why we bought the BLT SAP + points.
