PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

I definitely think it will remain reasonable, but off chance the increase is more than typical in comparison to others.
So I just finished up a wonderful Disney Alaskan cruise and have discovered that the Poly points chart Kraken has been released. Apologies as this has likely been beaten to death already but glancing through the posts, I didn't see to many pitchforks storming the castle and such.

I did a quick look at our favorite month of October for a Studio or a 1 Bedrooms and the Poly points required for a stay are higher than Riveria or VGF.

Is the new Poly Tower points chart now the highest of the WDW resorts?

Yup

I can’t believe the higher point charts at the Poly tower over BLT for theme park views. Will they be that much better?? We own points at BLT and especially on 3rd of July and 30 of December, I NEED the theme park view.
Personally, I expect to love IT over BLT. BLT is parking lot view most of the day. IT is lagoon view all day long with very small walking area between building and lagoon.

We own BLT. Stayed TP view and wasn’t impressed. We book LV or SV now. We have had 4 BLT SV rooms with fireworks views. The point savings is worth it. We like LV because it is more peaceful most of the day. For fireworks, we spend 20-40 minutes in common areas.

I expect to post on Dec 17 that our IT cash room has a nice TP view. We will enjoy it, but I sincerely believe we would be happy with SV room and going to the pocket gardens, Wailulu bar and grill, pool area, beach area, pier, sunset point, and other areas of Poly for fireworks. If we had family along, a 1BR or 2BR TP view would be great so we can have lots of people in our room for fireworks.

Although I can’t see how that would work with the Island Tower not opening until 12/17/2024. It just seems strange to give all years years full 2024 points when only a few will be able to book rooms for the two weeks the Tower is open.
Remember, you’re not reallly buying points for the Island Tower you’re buying points for PVB, which has existed for years. The Island Tower is just an additional declaration.

My concern is that if S/P Studios are in high demand, too many 2BR LOs will get broken up, making it hard to book. If it turns out that functionally it's hard to book any 2BR that isn't TPV, it's prohibitively expensive.
Given how expensive the points charts are for 1 BR’s and 2 BR’s, and how Disney stil has a minimum buy in of 150 points, I almost guarantee you that the studios (and thus the 2 bedrooms) are going to book up lightning fast. I wouldn’t buy here expecting to get the 2 br lockoffs with any frequency.

Yeah, call me crazy, but I too think it may drop the dues. The points are so crazy high for the theme park views, I really do think there’s a legitimate chance we see overall dues per point decrease.

It will be interesting for sure. The biggest piece is the shared costs since PVB owners will have a larger share now than the hotel side.

Transportation costs have to go up, right? More buses and boats?

But, as you said, lots of points to absorb. What we do know is that now that all UYs will get 2024 points, DVD will collect dues on all points sold for 14 days of operation in 2024.

Wowza! Just looked at a few Poly resales. A bit greedy with prices as high as $225 with ZERO 2024 and FOUR 2025 points for a 50 point contract. Direct is $225 with possibility of incentives AND 2024 and 2025 points. That just answered the "should we buy resale" question! Hard no to that!
Crazy resale prices.🤪 $225 with incentives is great for buying direct...resale prices will have to come down.
