PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

We bought VGC direct at the well past our banking deadline - our guide contacted MS for us and the points hit our account and were banked same day for us.
Oh that is amazing.
On a separate note, do you love your guide? We have been members for 21 years and we are looking for a new guide.

We do - and it’s a long story because I still am giddy over our VGC purchase. The TL: DR is that I’ll send you a direct message with his details. We never had interacted at all with guides in our 16 years of membership until last January as we have some resale contracts and all our direct contracts were done via phone.

Anyhoo, we had stayed VGC a few times by booking at 7 months but finding a week in a 1 br was stressful. We wanted direct to keep the same UY and to be able get the right number of points (160-180). We were staying at VGC and asked at the DVC kiosk there about VGC direct (knowing the answer was no but “hey you can buy VDH”). Before we went the resale route, we went to the DVC lounge in DL and asked the same thing (expecting the same answer). The guide had another member who had just turned down 170 VGC points (to buy VDH instead) and he reallocated them to us. We bought same day, he requested the banking, and we requested that he be reassigned to us.

We have heard from him more than any other guide - he emailed us both on our birthdays and (bless his heart) called us to tell us about the OKW sale earlier this year.

If you buy as a first time member on October 29 can you book on Nov 5 before you close? Also when do you get the DVC Blue Card? We're going to Disneyland in the middle of Nov and it would be nice to check out the Star View Lounge / Golden Vine House.

We should be closing on a Poly resale contract this week, so technically we should be able to add on direct points after our membership is established in a few weeks. However, I’ve heard that there are usually better deals on cruises, and we’ll be on the Wish the week of Halloween. Think it would be wise to wait to inquire with DVC then, or do you guys think it’ll be mobbed since non-member sales start that week? (Like day 2 of the cruise). Can’t wait to hear about incentives so I can either decide we’re doing this or to stay away lol

Has there been any info regarding the square footage of each of the new PIT rooms? It seems that information should already be readily available.

Only shows cash price though, I can't see a points total
If you are on a real computer (not sure about iPad or tablets) there is a few links to filter the results.

By the default it is in $$ as this tool is really there to help renters but if you click on "Display Points" it will change.

If you are on a phone you don't have to change it but I prefer the real computer site as it is easier to compare if you are looking to change at 7 months and the phone only shows one resort at a time.

For those who were wondering about fixed weeks - I asked my guide today if they would be selling those starting the 1st (yes) and what would be sold (any week - no restrictions, every unit type EXCEPT the 2bd penthouse).
That makes sense since there are not many penthouses as I believe @tjkraz or @Sandisw stated Disney had to leave a certain percentage of inventory available for non fixed weeks.

We own a good chunk at CCV (600) plus 200 at RIV and VGF. The debate was adding 200 at BWV for a few quick weekends just the 2 of us or wait for the Tower? DH loves the tower, so we wait. Now the debate shifts to how many points. Our first DVC purchase was those 600 CCV points and I think we are looking at another 400-600 on this one as well. Maybe let go of the VGF? How many MK resorts do we need?

This shouldn't keep me up all night.
That is a tough choice...VGF or Poly? Personally, I like GF, but I love Poly- and with a brand new shiny tower it's too good to pass up. 😊

If you do not currently qualify for Membership Extras (Blue Card) then in order to obtain that status requires purchasing a minimum amount of points directly from Disney. At this time that is 150 points. The purchase can be over a period of time or all at once but Disney can (and has) change(d) the number of points needed so most just lock it in up front.

Assuming you are buying straight from Disney on 10/29/24 then yes you would be able to book on 11/5/24. If you were to buy a resale contract you will have to wait on ROFR so I it is hard to tell if the points would hit your account in time for that opening booking date.

Glad you found one that works for you.

I have nothing to complain about with mine but your guide goes above and beyond!!!

Yup, that makes sense. Fixed weeks are capped at 35% of each unit size and type. (If there were 100 theme park view studios, they could sell up to 35 "theme park view studio" fixed contracts for each week.)

At one point we were estimating 4 penthouses, split between theme park and preferred view. I don't know if that's confirmed yet, but it's a very small block of rooms. Probably a good thing DVC isn't selling some of them off as fixed week.

Yes we are planning on buying direct — been waiting since May and want to pay it off ASAP 🥴 so Disney gives you the benefits and lets you book before it closes it sounds like?
