PS questions during SWW

Hey guys! I've got a quick question. We have an upcoming trip to WDW in May. I have PSs' for Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's the first 2 days we are there. After that we will be at MGM for "star wars weekends." I'm a little weary of getting PSs' for the weekend for fear that I will schedule dinner during some kind of Star Wars activity. (My husband and son would freak out) So...We are planning on eating dinner at MGM at Sci-fi andHollywood and Vine (even though I don't like the place my husband does) SHOULD I go ahead and make PS's? Should I make them for a late dinner.?(Say 8pm) Or should I risk it and try to get in without PS's to work around Star Wars activities??? HELP!!!

This late in the game you may not get any PS for SWW at MGM.
We called about 3 weeks ago and the choices then were very slim. I would bet walk-ups will not be able to get a seat. We wanted a Fantasmic Dinner package and their were none at all available for anywhere on Sun May 15th. We ended up taking dinner at H & V at 5:20 on Sunday.
I did ask about Sat dining too and their was one slot left at Brown Derby.
I would give them a call and see what is left and then decide what to do.
