Project Runway Season 4: Discussions & Spoilers

I agree. They let Daniel Vosovic come back for the second season after he was "out" in the first season.

They should definitely let Jack back next season.

I thought it was Daniel Franco that was on seasons 1&2.

They let him back in because he reapplied, not just because he was ousted in season 1.

I agree. Jack should be automatically offered a position in next season's roster... that is if the exposure he got from this season hasn't already jumpstarted his careear in a big way.

I knew he reapplied, someone else mentioned Daniel Vosovic as being on both.

Sorry to confuse. I just quoted you because you got the name right. I knew it wasn't Vosovic, but I couldn't remember what the other Daniel's name was. I could remember his face, just not his name.

Well I was glad to see Chris come back, but I do think his outfit was terrible. I wouldn't say "50's Paris hooker," but more like someone from Grease. I didn't like the design of the shirt, or anything he did. I thought he was going home if it weren't for Stephen (? I don't have all the names down just yet) and his terrible hotel maid's outfit. I mean, I know that old wedding dress was tacky, but even I could have come up with something more interesting. And...the designer with the red dress...the one who didn't use any of the original fabric, I can't think of her name...Anyway, I didn't think that dress was that great. I didn't think it fit her model well and the color was hideous...oh and...SHE DIDN'T USE ANY OF THE ORIGINAL FABRIC...except for that stupid black piping. I think it was kind of a cop-out.

I was sooooooooo excited to see Chris come back! I love that guy!

I was heart broken last week when he left!

Cheers,
Josh

I was a little shocked that Jillian was not challenged for tossing the fabric and using the "piping" from the pants. I was not impressed with her dress either, but then I generally dislike some of what the judges love.

I felt so badly for Jack, he seemed so nice and I liked his style. I wonder why Chris designed that mess though. I was surprised that he came up with that! Thank goodness for the wedding dress fiasco because he would have had to leave, I think.

Jillian: I agree, she should have used more of the original fabric.

Steven could have made a lovely black jacket and appliqued some of the white, lace and beads onto it with a skirt. It would have been updated. Geez, any color would have spiced it up a bit. He seemed to have bought quite a bit of fabric for $10!! I may have to go to Mood to check out their prices, next time I visit NYC.

Chris, - It was great to have him back. I did think he did a pretty good job with that top, The skirt could have done without that tail in the back - UGH!

Christian - I LOVED his top, he sure can sew and design and fit. I'll bet unless he really screws up, he'll make it to the top 3.

Tim Gunn- geez, he's so funny, last night was priceless.

I also agree Jillian should have been out for not using more of the original fabric. Who was the designer, I believe, two seasons ago that was out for not using a whole lot of white in the black & white challenge? Am I remembering correctly?

I didn't absolutely love Chris's design, but I didn't think it was the worse and he had less time and at least he followed the rules. If he doesn't start listening to the judges and make adjustments I fear he will be out again soon.

Stephen and the wedding dress? So much more could have been done. I immediately thought of maybe some type of camisole out of the top and a nice jacket and skirt/pants, like a sexy kind of suit.

You are remembering correctly, I just cannot remember who it was. It was a black and white challenge and the designer did not use enough of one of the colors.

I hope that Chris stays, I like his style, I think maybe he tries a little too hard and that gets him in the end.

Christian really does a wonderful job of tailoring clothes! I did not want to like him at first but he grew on me. Now he is one of my favorites, he has no worries about his ability, he listens to the challenges and then he "makes them work".

Stephen just hated the dress and the fabric. He got lost in not liking it so he tossed it out. He deserved to lose for creating that black potato sack.

I remember the black and white challenge. If I remember they had only used one of the colors to line a wallet with or something like that.

I don't think they will invite him back just because he left because he was ill. I think he will have to re audition like Daniel Franco did if he wants back on. On I think it was the first season of Top Chef. One of the contestants left because her father was dying of cancer and they didn't let her come back the next year, so I think the precedence was set by that because it is the same producers.

I really enjoy Chris, but I don't expect him to remain much longer because Michael seems bothered by his "costume designing style". Who was the pageant designer last year. I loved his stuff, but they always seem to bring up the pageants, so you knew he wouldn't last long.

Tim Gunn was priceless!!! I just love the guy! He can somehow pull off stuffy and standoffish while at the sametime be human and down to earth!!

YEs...Christian is "fierce" hahahah! I do love him though. Was SURE I'd hate him in the beginning but he's just so adorable. He reminds me of my little sister.

I LOVED Kevin's work, but as soon as I saw the model walk down the runway with LEGGINGS I knew they were going to crucify him a bit for it. Leggings aren't really all that bad. But didn't he see them featured in LAST week's out-of-date challenge?

Kayne- what a trip he was!

Thats it! Kayne, he and Robert were great! Robert with his Barbie and Kayne with the pagents, I was sorry to see them leave last year!

And this is why I love this show! I love Tim Gunn and the designers are so much fun to watch.

I must admit, Christian is growing on me. I thought he had a real attitude at first, but looking at his work, it's (mostly) stylish and well-made. He's quite talented!

I'm glad Steve left this week. For some reason, he just kept reminding me of the serial killer in "Silence of the Lambs". It was bugging the snot out of me! Plus, his dress was butt ugly.

And I was wondering about the Mood fabric--$10 doesn't sound like a whole lot, but it sure looked like a lot of fabric for both him and Gillian to make entire dresses. I wonder if it's the super wide rolls or maybe they're paying the wholesale price?

I figured it was just low quality fabric for that price in that store.

Finally, a new episode!:yay: Some random thoughts:

I'm happy that Chris did well.

I wonder if the accident contributed to Elisa's kookiness to some degree.

My guess for the next week's challenge is designing Prom Dresses. Also, it looks like we will see Ricky getting Leaky again.:upsidedow

BTW, I've read on a mag (People? Us?) that Jack and Dale from Top Chef 3 are a couple.

Well for the most part I agree with last nights outcome. I would have had a tough time deciding between Jillian and Rami. Both were really cute. I did love Chris's dress too and the fact that he toned it down and the judges noticed that.
