Project Runway Season 4: Discussions & Spoilers

I watched the first two seasons of PR but missed the last one, and am SO glad to get to watch it again. I absolutely love this show! The premise is so much fun, and it amazes me how talented the designers are. I don't have any favorites yet but they all have a lot of promise.

It's about time she made an appearance.:goodvibes But she looks a little different--did she have a face lift?

I wondered the same thing. She definitely had something done, I just can't figure out what.

A couple of things,

1) I used to "real sew" but now I''m a quilter. NEVER have I ever resorted to using SPIT to mark something on a piece of fabric weather I was making a garment or a quilt. That's just plain wierd.

2) The preview did have something about Jack going to Tim and then having a meeting about something with the other contestants - did I nod off sometime and miss that? It looked pretty big and pretty dramatic from the preview.

3) While I LOVED the 2 finalist outfits, I think the "spit" outfit was a little more daring and "out there" the judges are always telling the designers to take a chance, I think in the end THEY settled on this one, maybe it's because Sarah Jessica Parker was the one buying it for her line that her imput had a greater weight in the decision. I guess it was the every day woman that made the difference in the end, that dress was not every day enough.

I'll be in Disney next week so I'll miss it, thank goodnes fo a DVR and re-runs!

I know! Her eyes are different, and her chin... Her whole face seems a little off. Hmmm.

I thought the same thing. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was something different.

I knew they wouldn't send Christian home yet. There is some good drama going on there!

There was a spoiler in the People magazine I was reading at the chiropractor earlier in the week. I don't remember if it said if he was leaving the show or not though.

I think the previews that they showed after the first episode were for the whole season.

I also read the spoiler about Jack but I don't want to put it on here so if anyone wants to know they can PM me. I do know that whatever happens, goes on later in the show.

And I was very surprised when I found myself loving Elisa's outfit. I could totally see myself going into the store and buying that cape. I think it was much more versatile and everyday for me.

I agree that SJP's input had a greater weight as well. As much as I liked Elisa's outfit, I think it would be harder to mass produce for $40 retail price.

I really liked it too but I couldn't get the spit mark out of my head! It ruined the outfit for me just thinking about it. Maybe SJP felt the same way.

So, who do you suppose is the "fashion icon" du Jour? By the way, they sure do like to throw that term around.:rolleyes1

I gotta say it, not only was Tiki Barber a treat to the eyes, but the models. Oh my.

I finally got to catch up on the show tonight, I have been working a lot of nights. Thank goodness for reruns.

I have to admit that I had a spoiler about the second episode. My Mom bought me the winning outfit for my birthday and I love it!!!!

This season looks fantastic and I loved the hot male models.

I must say I'm beginning to like Elisa. Granted she is eccentric but there was something sweet about seeing a 40-something woman being shy around the male models.

:lmao: I thought that was so weird! She said that the only man she ever wanted to touch was her husband... what was she planning on doing with that model?! I thought she was just supposed to fit him for the outfit. If she was implying that her touching the model was going to be in the same way that she touches her husband, I don't see how the show could have even been on Bravo :rotfl2: She's an odd one, but I did like her design last night!

Oh, she is odd, there's no doubt about that. However, I did find her a nice change from the cougars who seem to be everywhere--well at least on TV.;)

Normally when people are kicked off reality shows it's like haha get off my TV! :lmao: This is the only show where I genuinely feel bad for people for getting kicked off. I have no idea why - I guess everyone's just so likeable.

I know what you mean. I felt so bad for Chris last night, I wanted to hug him.
