I was pretty surprised that Kevin was sent home and not Ricky.

Romi's was so NOT a Prom Dress, and his attitude that "I'm used to designing for 30-40 year olds, so too bad" is absolutely NOT what a designer does. You please the CLIENT!!

Rami's dress was beautiful, but not for a kid going to prom.

I really liked Kit's dress the best, followed by Sweet P's.
Victorya keeps doing the same style over and over. Can she do anything other than baby doll dresses?

I realized, witht he help of DH, who CHris reminded me of. When DH saw him, he says, "That guy looks like a giant Persian cat. I expect him to lick his paw after each comment." He reminds me of the Dom Deluise-voiced cat in the American Tail movies, Tiger.

Victorya keeps doing the same style over and over. Can she do anything other than baby doll dresses?

It worked for Uli last season and got her to Fashion Week... although Uli's personality was far less abrasive than Victorya's.

Nina Garcia kept saying that Kevin's dress was inappropriate. The poor girl had no support, and looked so saggy! I guess they didn't want to embarrass the girl by discussing openly how her breasts looked. At least, that's my take on why Kevin got aufed instead of Ricky.

I was surprised because Kevin has done pretty well so far and Ricky has been pretty consistantly a dud.

I know. I can't see Ricky lasting much longer though. I think he is the weakest designer left.

BTW, I can't figure out what they will be doing next week. At one point of the promo, there was a dress that looked as if lines were sprouting out it. Made me think of parachutes and that makes no sense!

I wasn't impressed with any of the dresses last night. I have two DD's and while the prom years were awhile ago, those dresses just didn't say 'prom' to me. Sweet P's came close, but proms are about dancing and that little train the dress had would have been stepped on all night.

My 22 year old DD thought Rami's dress was great. I reminded her that she's 6 years older than these girls to which she said "shut up."

My nieces have gone to proms in the past few years and they never wore any of those styles. Their dresses were fun and young, not baby dolls or draped things that look like they were made out of Scarlet O'hara's leftover drapes. I'm not sure I really liked any of them. I do know that while Christian amuses me he is young and it showed in the show. The girl literally took a pencil and sketched her dress. While the input was okay she had the taste of a duck and if he had any sense of survival he would have yanked his pencil back and taken control. Instead he let her dream about being a designer and then was so worried about the outcome that he dumped the disaster on her. And she was savvy enough to look surprised .

I think I'm in the minority here because I do not like Christian at all. He comes across as arrogant. I agree completely with what Tim said about Christian in his newest blog entry:

I agree with your thoughts and Tim's! Will Christian be more subdued in the next challenge? Was this his wake-up call? It seems Chris is listening and has toned his designs down.

I enjoy watching this season without all of the sniping and backbiting... I do like that they are helping each other. Although that may change based on next week's previews...

Yeah, i thought it would be Ricky for sure, after they kept featuring him. Plus, I thought his dress was very blah. Especially being a lingerie designer, I thought he could have come up with better.

OTOH, I thought Kevin's dress looked really cheap. Like something you could pull off a Wal-Mart sales rack. Surprising, because I've had a high opinion of Kevin up until this.

I think part of Christian's problem is that he's so young himself. He has a lot of talent, but needs some real world experience. An up-and-comer for sure, though. It would be interesting to see where he is in 10 years.

I was shocked that Kevin got auf'ed and not Christian. I thought Christian should have gone because that dress was hideous and the way he treated his client was horrible. I liked Sweet P's and Chris' dresses. Jillian's was OK. Didn't see why the judges like Victorya's so much. The jewels up top looked a little tacky IMO. And why or why is Ricky still here? His dress was equally horrible.

I'm so surprised that they got rid of Kevin over Ricky. It seems that when two designers have equally crappy designs that they let go of the weaker designer. Oh well, I'm just glad it wasn't Christain. I love him. I know I'm in the minority but I think those drapey grecian things that Rami creates are ugly. It reminded me too much of the gray dress that he did earlier in the season.

Dang. I liked Kevin. Ricky is a weepy drama queen whose designs bore me to tears. Christian is a hoot to watch (though drama queenie in his own way too) and his designs are light years above Ricky's. Kevin just missed the mark here. I still think Ricky should've gine home.

I have not seen the episode yet, but I had to go over to the bravo website and spoil it.

Ricky's dress was really ....uh, not so great. I think it was the fabric he chose that really made it awful. It washed the girl out completely.

Victorya should not have won. I think Sweet P's dress was far better. In Tim's Take, he mentions it looking like a super hero about to take off (or something like that.) I agree completely.

I still think it will be Rami, Jillian, and Christian in the final three. Or maybe Rami, Jillian, Kit?? No, Kit is probably a little too out there for the final three. But I like most of her designs. Her prom dress was a good one.

Yeah, but they threw us a loop by not picking Austin in the first season and selecting Wendy.

I'd like to see a Rami, Jillian, Christian finale, but you never know. Chris could wind up being the comeback kid.

I watched the episode again last night with my DD and I agree with you. After looking at the dresses again I think that either one of my nieces would have chosen Chris's dress over any of the others. My DD agreed, although she said that Victorya's dress was also one that the girls would have liked.

I think that Chris is listening to the feedback and applying it as he goes and I think he may just stay in till the end. I hope so, I like him the best. Rami's style is sophisticated and I really think he is going thru to the end and I would like to see Christian in the finale. So my finale "dream team" is Chris, Rami and Christian.

First, I have to say I am sooo sorry to be late to the ball! I LOVE PR. And have no one to talk about it with - so if I knew this thread was here, I would have been here from the beginning. I have catching up to do!

From the beginning, I thought Jillian and Rami as well. My third was either Kevin or Christian. But now with Kevin gone... I'm still not too sure about Christian though. I think at some point his ego is going to catch up with him. I did feel bad for him though when his dress was not going good, and the girl that designed the dress was dissing it. He needed his sassiness to come up at that point and put her in her place.

My prom was 13 years ago but I don't think I would have worn any of those dresses. Victoryia's looked like a party dress - not a prom dress. I don't know maybe prom is different now, but mine was very nice at the Fountainbleu on Miami Beach. More girls were wearing dresses like Sweet P's dress. After looking at the candy-train wreck dress and then this week, Sweet P should have won because she improved enormously!
