Awww, thanks! Honestly, I get a lot of ideas for our movie nights from the Movie Night thread here on the DIS and Hope's and Twoboysnmygirl's PTRs always inspire me. We were all pleasantly surprised with how the cookies turned out. I love trying new recipes.

Wait... was that April that just flew by? My goodness. But with May now here, Ashlyn colored a new calendar page!

I also wanted to share a few of my new favorite pictures. We were at a friend's son's 1st birthday party last weekend. A friend of ours is a photographer and was there to take pictures of the event. She also took a few pictures of Ashlyn and they turned out beautifully!

I this picture of Aaron and Ashlyn on the beach. It's the background on our netbook now.

And I just cannot get over how beautiful Ashlyn looks in this picture.

Thanks! The swimsuit was a tiny bit big on her (it is 24 months and she is wearing 18 months) but it was so cute we couldn't help it.

Thank you! I just saw the pictures today and fell in love. I tear up every time I look at those pictures. I always knew my friend was a fabulous photographer, but wow! We were talking about asking her to take pictures at Ashlyn's 2nd birthday party (which we'll throw a week after we get back from WDW) and now we are convinced!

So.....I am going to try and make some cake pops for Mother's Day gifts this year! Wish me luck! lol

Any hints or suggestions?

I was going to try and make them like flowers and stick them in a decorated flower pot. Hoping they are easy and come out cute! Ashlynn made sure to tell me that she was going to be helping make them!

Cake pops are SO much fun. I don't know if I really have any hints except have fun! I tried to make them so perfect the very, very first time I made them so if one cracked or didn't look great, I got frustrated. But the more I make them the better they turn out. They are fun to make and so yummy even if one or two don't turn out quite right.

I'm excited because it should be fun and I actually have a craft planned that is a little more than just a coloring page. Nothing wrong with the coloring pages, but I was ready to do something different. I don't really have anything for decorations, but I'm trying to pull together stuff that might work and our craft can serve as decorations, too. Can't wait!!

I saw those flower cake pops on bakerella..thats where i got the idea but cant find those pastel candy corn right now! So...I bought mini flower cutters (like they use for fondent) to at the craft store and I will use that and then decorate. I will take pics of my finished product!

COOL! I can't wait to see pics. Oh, another tip for the cake pops. If you put them in the freezer to speed up the drying process of the candy melts, don't leave them in too long or they may have a greater chance of cracking.

I haven't come up with anything too crazy and elaborate, but still fun. I'll try to post the pics either Saturday night or sometime on Sunday.
