Prices at a Northface Outlet store

I would like to get my daughter a Northface fleece for Christmas (the Denali style) and was wondering if anyone knows if the prices at a Northface outlet are truly outlet prices? I know selection can be hit or miss but if the prices aren't substantially lower I may not even try.

I have found it greatly varies. Some prices are great and others are so-so.

Try backcountry.com. I've always found better clearance prices there.

departmentofgoods.com is the outlet for backcounty.com and there prices are awesome! I just got my daughter a Denali North Face for $39.95. Also if your a mypoints member you can get 2 pts per dollar spent

I only looked at the waterproof jackets but it was pretty good discount at the outlet. I ended up with my mountainer jacket, and sleeveless fleece and some gloves and saved about 90 bucks. I made a special trip over to the outlet (well I went on the way back to Disney from Universal) while I was in Orlando and it turned out to be worth it.


My denali I bought local and on closeout also at a pretty good discount.


I'd say if you're going to be in Orlando it's worth the drive over to look. Otherwise I'd just google northface and see what pops up.

The outlet near us is not cheap at all. People pack into the place but I've gotten better deals with closeouts online. I think they had a Denali for $139 but in an odd color that DD did not like.

I checked it out today and had no luck. At least now I know to find a deal online. Thanks for all the input, sounds like it might be a hit or miss thing.

I buy at MooseJaw (it is a retail store) in the springtime and I get halfprice or better. They have most things full price at this time of the year. So going into winter, I don't know that the discounts will be that great. But you might be able to find a coupon or a style that is last years at a discount. Moosejaw will price match a discount at another website, plus will give you 1000 points (their reward program) to do so - I still think they are a great deal. I know last year I got my patagonia puffer jacket at 20% off through the pricematch, plus got a 100 dollar mystery gift (it was a bunch of moosejaw branded sweats and hiking stuff), plus the bonus points. I was able to use my accumulated bonus points to buy my husband a northface backpack when I got my 1000 bonus points (I had been saving them up from other purchases).

Like everyone said, the styles and prices are hit and miss.

The other thing with TNF outlet store is that the lifetime warranty isn't valid at the outlet stores.
