Preparing for Disney Surprise Swap 3 and introducing my Blog

Oh, that reminds me. I don't think I can redo the Asia stuff. I used the 2 sheets of the paper from the Far East stack for the swap, and unless there are single sheets for sale somewhere, I don't want to go buy another stack. :sad1: I could cut out the letters, and I have one more of the metal embellishment, and I could send those, but that's about it.

I think that was the only piece that I was concerned I couldn't redo. The MGM lyric, any new ones wouldn't have the earful tower sticker. I had some AK squares that matched the Tree of Life, but I didn't even scan them, since I knew I couldn't redo them. Also, I am limited on the striped paper for the Shrunken Ned. I have enough for now, but it was another paper I bought the last of on clearance originally. I haven't checked online for more though.

Oh, and if you need ToT stuff (and, I checked, you do), then I need that Indiana Jones stuff you made for the MGM swap.

Oh my gosh, guys! I have added up the requests so far and there are almost 30 of them! And I know I will want to do other groups, and the AK swap. It's a good thing I don't work, and don't have kids.

My LSS has the single sheets of the Far East stock!!!.. let me know what kind you are looking for!!!! :) ok, now to finish rekeying in phone numbers to my pink razor..and than I'll read these post thoroughly!

Nancy, did you ever get back to me with what your other request was?

The MGM set is the one I want!!! Woo hoo!!! I want that as my open page for next years trip for our MGM day!!!!

I've got my sitting bear for Teddi Berra now I need to figure out the seat of her swing!! I think it's going to turn out good..but we will see this weekend for sure!!!

So, you need to let me know what else I can trade you for...
My CB Jamboree for FON
My ???????????? for MGM

LMK!! Thanks bunches!!!

Wow Hope you are amazing! The stuff you've made is pure inspiration! Not to add to your already long list but if I could squeeze into a Hope group I would love the Disneyland stuff and the cuties stuff...absolutely love those..I could like others ask for more but I'm trying not to be greedy!!!

Oh and I know what you mean about failing art in Elementary school - me too!!! I thought I'd never meet another soul who would fail art! (what a mean teacher to do such a thing to an 8 year old - scarred me for life!)

Don't worry about squeezing in, we'll find room for everyone, and if you don't get in a group with me, then we can setup a one-on-one on the side, but can be mailed at the same time. So don't worry too much about greediness. I figure I will have to just post a general, let me know what you want in the Pass it Forward thread. And that I think I need to make 10 of all my items, even if I only need 6. Looks like everything will find a home eventually.

Nancy,

Illuminations is good. :goodvibes

Another thought: Put Hope in all the groups..lol

Yes, Hope was thinking about that plan...but there were 10 groups last time!

Although I think I have enough requests for almost 5 so far...:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I've got the Far East Stacks, too, Hope and I've also got LSS's that have the single sheets as well.

Interesting, about the single sheets. I plan on hitting the stores this weekend, and I will check to see if they have them here. If not I will let one of you know and have you do some shopping for me.

Woo Hoo! I have finished the HM items for KatDisney...only like 30 more to go! Actually, I've printed a lot of stuff off already. Most of these should go together pretty well...the paper piecings will take more work. I'm going to get a bunch of this stuff done right away, then work on the AK swap, then finish the "requests" after the Surprise swap signups.

Actually, Joann's and Archivers have a lot of the Far East, Old World, Glitter, and Flower Glitter individual papers from those stacks. But, if you need any to complete elements, let me know.

Alrighty, Hope! I finally had enough time to sit and look through your whole blog and it was all lovely. I love the name of the blog and I am blown away by your talent. I also was a dismal art student so I feel your pain.

I have now developed a fairly long list of items that I would like. I've mentioned already that I adore your Disneyland title and I know you've already indicated you can reproduce that one. I've not participated in any of Kat's Surprise swaps so I don't know how they work. Given that there potentially won't be room for all of us who want your goodies in the groups, I would be willing to talk to you about making some things one on one.

I would like:
Disneyland set (mostly interested in the title but journal boxes would be OK)
Tower of Terror page kit (the cutest I've ever seen including ones I've made)
Enchanted Tiki Room kit (so darling!!!)
Brer Guys (LOVE it!)
Forever Dreaming (so darling)

Is there anything I've ever made that you would consider wanting even though it is not even remotely as good as your stuff? I can cut Cricut stuff for you. I have Alphalicious (cute crown stuff), Doodlecharms, Animal Kingdom and I just bought ZooBalloo (and George but I forget that one). I have access to the entire Bazzill line and would be willing to take your shopping list to my 10,000 square foot LSS and go shopping.

Please let me know. I'm willing to work with you.

Gotcha...I do actually have a shopping list...at least of the Jolee's stuff, I had to make it because I kept repeating which ones I would buy with coupons. But I also know there are animal stuff I want from those cartridges.

I bought some of the supplies to make everything today. Printed a bunch of stuff. This is going to be a crazy next couple of months. But so far, it does seem to be easier the second time around. I'm glad I saved all my files and notes about sizes.

Well, no Archivers here. I checked our JoAnns and did find several of the Far East pages, just not that one GRR...I still have a couple of places to check tomorrow.

Oh, and something that I think is ridiculous...The patterned paper I used for the Brer stuff. I bought a bunch of it at 90% off, and used only a handful of sheets...so I put some in the Pizza Box...I have 5 sheets, which I think is enough to make the kits for the people who have asked so far, but if I have to order more over the internet...:badpc: :rotfl2:

Fabulous! I'm not in a huge hurry for my goodies but I am happy to go shopping when you are ready to send me your list. I'll just follow the points chart in my PIF thread to make sure I'm being equal. I'm totally planning to do at least one group in the surprise swap so we can go from there.

You really are the best. My DH adores the Love Bug paper piecing you made back in our MGM swap. I can't wait to get the rest of my goodies.

Your MGM swap was my very first swap here. Ah, memories of being scared to death wondering whether my stuff would be adequate.

I just wish I could come up with paper choices like YodasMom, or use fibers like AWM. I never would have thought of using metallic paper if I didn't see SIOH use it in the Good & Evil swap, or layering elements different ways if I hadn't have seen someone else do it first. So if you guys like what I do, I have to say it is only because I have learned from all of you. :grouphug:

um, wow, I'll just take one of everything...:)
fabulous (or is it fanfreakintabulous?!) work! I even showed my husband

I'll have to really think about this one, and maybe I'll have to wait until the next Surprise swap after this to give you a break. Your blog said you used to live 35 minutes from the WA/BC border-may I ask where exactly? or is that too personal? I live about 20-25 depending on traffic, so just curious

TPCShauna, Will you take me, too? I'd love something like that around here. I'll just fly in for lunch one day, scrapbook shop, then be home in time for dinner

Thank you very much. You people must stop now, you are giving me a complex.

No, not too personal, I grew up in Bellingham.

I missed this the first time. My LSS is the one owned by the people who own Bazzill, Scrapbooks Etc in Mesa , AZ, so in that regard, I am all set. Which reminds me, the warehouse sale should be next month, Woo Hoo!
