Can you guys help me out and tell me what rides I should not go on while being 23 weeks prego?? I know they will have signs and stuff, but I want to plan in advance. Also, on most of the rides, can I stand in line and then get out at the end so my husband can go on?
Thanks!
Nicole

I definitely wouldn't go on any rides with warnings. I would think that most rides without a height limitation would be ok, like Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Pooh, Haunted Mansion, etc.

I can't think of any rides where you can't leave at the end. Tower of Terror and Rockin N' Roller Coaster both have chicken exits, my kids are very familiar with them!

Have a great trip and welcome to the DIS.

Most of the rides you can't go on have fastpass; your hubby can get a fastpass, and be on and off within 15 minutes or so. Instead of waiting in line with him, you can take a potty break, or go get some water, or just rest your feet!! Then you can meet up by the exit and go onto your next adventure!

To answer your other question:

At MK, you can't go on:
Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mtn, Space Mountain and the Autopia cars (I can't think of what they're called there- you know, the kiddie cars---lots of bumping is why you aren't supposed to go..) and probably Goofy's barnstormer

Epcot- Test Trac, Body Wars

MGM- Tower Of Terror, Rock N Roller Coaster, Star Tours

AK- Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl, maybe the river rapids?? I don't know for sure on that one...and I have read that Kilimanjaro Safari is rather jostling, but it doesn't have a height requirement. It's probably ok.

At the water parks you probably shouldn't do most of the slides...some for sure you can't do. Have a great time! And remember to drink lots and lots of water and keep your feet up. :jester:

Kilimanjaro Safari at AK is not recommended for pregnant women. However, my 5-month pregnant wife did ride it a couple of weeks ago. I myself paid extra attention while we were on the ride, and really was suprised at how bumpy it is--particularly when the CM really revs the vehicle. The sudden accelleration and rough terrain will really toss you around at times.

I think the ride restriction really is justified--at least from a liability standpoint if nothing else. For a ride like this, Disney would be negligent if there wasn't some forewarning.

If you've had any problems at all with your pregnancy, I'd steer clear of this one.

Ditto on the Safari at AK. DW was pregnant with DD#2 last december and did not ride the Safari as a CM said exactly what tjkraz said so she skipped it. When we were back this past December with DD#2 on the outside we all rode it.

It was really really jerky and bumpy. I would bypass it this time. After all, you will be back! :)

As everyone else states, the rides will be marked but be sure to check with your doctor. Their instructions override any of the listed cautions. He/She knows your pregnancy better than Disney and they may want you to avoid other activities. ;)

I just came back from a trip and was 21 weeks pregnant. I rode pretty much everything except for the list that Alice28 gave. There was still PLENTY of fun to be had. {Although it PAINED me greatly to pass up Rock N Roller....UGHHHHHH....oh and wine with dinner.......LOL}

:bounce: First of all congratulations!!!!
Secondly I recommend that you take it easy and enjoy the parks at a slower pace. ( good practice for trips in the future with infants and toddlers) Avoid the safari and all rides that possess the warnings..better to be safe than sorry! We went last June when I was 31 weeks pregnant, hubby attacked the parks in commando mode and like an idiot I tried to keep up..never again...take the opportunity to let the 'world' revolve around you and your little one! Drink lots of water and be careful of what you eat...my hands swelled up to 3 times their normal size from a combination of heat, salty food and no rest! I wore a backpack with about 5-10 pounds of stuff in it to act as a counterweight to my big belly and it greatly decreased back strain...hubby kept trying to take it away because he was getting dirty looks for treating his very pregnant wife like a pack-mule....lol. If you are staying on site...don't hesitate to go back to your room for a nap and to get your feet and legs elevated. Remember that since you will be walking so much, the baby is going to sleep alot so movement may be minimal....I know that not feeling movement caused alot more stress than it should have for me...resting for an extended amount of time...allows you to focus on movements.

Have a great trip and a wonderful pregnancy!
