Power Out In Mk?

We are at the MK for Christmas day(talk about a crowd),at about 9:45-10:30am the power went out. I'm not sure when it came back on. We waited for almost 2 hours and it was still out. A vert nice "cast member" told us that he did not know what happend and he was very sorry (not his fault) and told us that the rides of course are all computer operated and would go back up with the most popular rides 1st and so on. Needles to say we went to another park.

Was anyone else at the MK when this happend? When did the power come back on?

I know the power was out for awhile and they were on backup for awhile also.

We were there at that time as well. I believe the power wasn't out for too long..20/30 minutes. Everyone near us cheered when it came back on. However, it did create a huge mess. All the stores and rides had to shut down and remove the people from the areas. We were near the Liberty Tree Restaurant and the mess was from all the thousands of people having no where to go. Then becuase of the power failure all the rides had to 'restart' with safety inspections and test runs. Because of this it was so hectic that we too left and went to Epcot. It was just too many people with no where to go and nothing to do. Never did hear what happened exactly, but many of CM said that it was rare.
